Mystery of the Khuldi Fruit

Actually Allah SWT. does not name it directly as “Buah khuldi”.it only mentions as a forbidden tree “Walaa taqroba haadzihi sajarota” which means “and do not you guys approach this tree”.

If “khaalidiina” means “abadi” then “khuldi” means “eternity”. one language metamorphosis (improvement) that signifies nouns. This fruit is called the khuldi fruit because it promises immortality by the devil.

Taken from the Quran letter Al-’Araf verse 20 that the devil mentions the tree will make Adam-Eve eternally in heaven.

What form and type, Allah does not explicitly mention in the Koran. Is it like an apple, like a grape, like a quack, or any other fruit we know. it is part of God's teaching that the meaning of the fruit is broader and deeper, infinite and bound to its physical form.

Khuldi fruit is a forbidden fruit in heaven at the beginning of the story of human life. This fruit is a special fruit because it determines the fate of the place of human life which was originally in heaven full of pleasure, then had to move and forever on a struggling earth.

The fruit is a fruit that is very tempting to the point of breaking the obedience of Adam’atan to Allah SWT. The fruit is the fruit of the carrier of Shit because it makes Adam and Eve expelled from heaven or his transgressions. The fruit was also the first project of propaganda operations carried out by Satan after his condemnation as a deceptive makhluq.

This fruit is a legendary make that is famous throughout the universe, all mankind in all religious books as well as told his story. Although the size is not large, but this fruit contains a great strength like a pebble that makes a large truck slip and fall into the abyss.

This fruit is a mysterious fruit (full of question marks). First, why should there be in the early history of human life, a muqaddimah of the long history of the narrative of the life of the child Adam. Why not tell about a magical animal, superhero man, or a super-sophisticated technology that fills the first episode. Isn't that a bigger thing than just a fruit that's the size of an apple..?.

If only the fruit was so forbidden why Allaah SWT. did not fence it with iron, fortress or as is the custom of our farmers in protecting the crops. So even though Adam-Eve intended to eat the fruit, there was no chance for him to pluck it because of his strict safety.

Some suspect that this was an intentional, planned thing that Adam would be tempted so that God had reason to send him down (exorcise him) from heaven. Even so, the insecurity of the storage of the fruit, still contains a large signature.

Why was God so angry with Adam that He drove him out mercilessly, bringing him out of a place of pleasure into a land full of thorns and thorns even though He had forgiven him. Is the rate of sin eating the fruit of the khuldi equivalent to the prohibition of the sin of adultery, the sin of stealing, or the sin of idolatry which clearly includes the sin of great sin..? Why is God so angry for such a small mistake.

The mystery of this khuldi fruit should be explored, in addition to having to be accepted with faith as a precept of Allah, also wisdom must be taken in order to find lessons that can be held for human life in general. For it is impossible for God to design this story at the beginning of the journey of human life, but there is a great meaning/conception that builds the reality of human survival afterwards.

The Story of the Khuldi Fruit

And We say: “O Adam, be observed by you and your wife this heaven, and eat her many fine foods wherever you like, and do not approach this tree, which causes you to be among the unjust.).

Then the two were derailed by the devil from heaven and were removed from their original state and We said: “Let you go down! some of you become enemies to others, and to you there is a dwelling place on earth, and the pleasure of living until the appointed time”.(Al-Baqarah 2:35-36)

When Adam was appointed caliph, he was ordered to stay in heaven with his wife (the heat). He was given the authority to use all the facilities of heaven, enjoy all the food in it. But in addition to that freedom, he was also given the mandate in the form of a prohibition to approach a tree/fruit which in other verses is mentioned khuldi fruit. The ban was given for no detailed reason whether because the fruit was dangerous, toxic or because it was not her right. Allah only gives a wrongful verdict for those who approach/eat the fruit.

Then with his efforts, the devil tempts Adam-Eve to break the prohibition. He persuades, seduces and imitates pleasure to adam when he approaches/eats the tree.

“So the devil whispers evil thoughts to both of them to reveal to them what is covered up from them, and the devil says: “God you did not forbid you and approached this tree, but that you both may not be angels or be eternal ones (in heaven and he (devil) swore to both. “Truly I am among those who give advice to you both”.

“Then Satan persuaded both (to eat the fruit) with deceit. When they had tasted the wood, they saw to them their aurats, and they began to cover them with the leaves of heaven. Then their Lord called them: “Didn't I forbid you both from the tree and I tell you: “Surely Satan is a real enemy for both of you?”.

They said: “Yes our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and give us grace, we must surely be among the losers.

(Q.S Al-A’raf Verse 20-22)

Satan comes by presenting himself like a helper who offers water when one suffers thirst, which will give good, give salvation and give the highest pleasure. Though the devil actually tried to give humiliation, plunged adam into blasphemy, and brought him to severe misery. Adam believed and was tempted to follow the devil's persuasion, hoping to get what the devil had promised him.

Finally, what the Devil expected came true, when Adam and Eve broke the prohibition, they immediately got humiliated.

The honor and dignity of humans that they both have is immediately released from him. Until Allah finds the abomination of his deeds and wrath with his wrath. God cursed the folly of Adam and Eve who trusted Satan more clearly is an enemy that hates man.

Allah is angry because his prohibition of compassion is ignored, while Satan's seduction that contains tyranny is followed by Adam. Adam and Eve realized their mistake, then asked for forgiveness, God accepted his repentance but did not overturn his punishment of sending Adam-Eve into the world.
