Running with Aisyah
As a husband, the Prophet became a Suri tauladan for mankind, especially for husbands who are building household arks. The noble character of the Prophet became the key to the harmony of family life. In various narrations it is said that the Prophet is known as a romantic husband to his wives, and a loving father to his children.
This is done in a simple and gentle way. Also in expressing feelings of love, delivered in ways that make the heart happy. It becomes a reflection of a clean heart, so that people who are near the Prophet are comfortable.
The Prophet even asked the Muslims to do good to his wife, as he said: “The most perfect believer of his faith is the best of his will, and the best of you is the best of his wife.” This word is not only spoken by him, but also by the Prophet. With this gentle attitude, women will feel more loved, valued, respected, and glorified. Not with excessive treatment or confusion.
Softness can be shown through words. For example, the Prophet called Aisha by calling ya Humaira, a special affectionate call that has the meaning of reddish. This was because Aisyah when she was embarrassed, her white skin would look reddish. This distinctive call makes any wife will feel flattered by her husband.
Softness in words is also reflected when there is a dispute that causes anger. When the Prophet's wife was angry, the Prophet did not raise the ego that made the quarrel so great. Even the Prophet chose to tempt his wife, such as twitching Aisha's nose; and praying for her not to be angry excessively.
Prayer when angry as narrated by Sayyidah Aisha RA: “Yes Allah, Lord Muhammad, forgive my sins, eliminate the anger in my heart and save me from misleading slander.”
In addition to the words of tenderness can also be realized with the attitude of willing to help the work of the wife at home. When the Prophet is not preaching or working, the activity carried out by the Prophet is to help the work of the wife at home. Work in the domestic sphere, such as washing clothes, fixing sandals, sewing clothes, and lifting water in buckets. This light hand is important for the husband to show his affection for the wife.
The story that is often told is the story between the Prophet Muhammad SAW and Aisyah Radiyallahu Anhu, they were married when Aisha was young. Aisha became a very dear wife of the Prophet and greatly appreciated Aisha. Like when he came home late at night, the Prophet willingly slept at the door of the house because he could not bear to wake Aisha. Another famous story when joking when running a race together.
One day, Aisyah once defeated the Prophet Muhammad SAW in a running race. A few years later, the Prophet returned the defeat. Once again, the Prophet was accompanied by Aisha RA and the companions traveled, the Prophet asked the Companions to walk first. When close to Aisyah, the Apostle offers Aisyah a running race.
“Then you run fast, come, come here,” said the Prophet. Because Aisha was a child at that time, her movements were agile, agile, and flexible, Aisha could easily defeat the Prophet.
Year after year went by, Aisha still faithfully accompanied the Prophet on a journey. The Prophet challenged Aisyah again to run the race with the same words. When invited, Aisyah was not confident because her body had turned fatter, her movements were no longer agile, and nimble as young. “Yes Allah's Apostle, how can I make a quick fight with you, how deep is my body like this?” asked Aisyah with a smile. The Prophet still asked Aisyah for a race to run both. “Do, come!”
When he won the race, the Prophet said to Aisha. “This was the reply.” Then one of the friends said, “Rasulullah, you joke with us?” And the Prophet replied, “I am only human like you. It's only natural that I joke with you guys.” (Hadith Mursal)
With this provision, Prophet Muhammad SAW can form and maintain a household with affection. The softness is also shown by sleeping on the lap of the wife. In an HR Abu Dawud 9number 227), HR Bukhari (number 288), HR Muslim (number 454), HR Ahmad (number 24442), and HR Ibn Majah (number 626) narrated by Sayyidah Aisyah RA: “Formerly Raulullah sAw put his head on my lap then read (Alquran) while I was in a state of menstruation.”
In addition to sitting on the lap of the wife, Prophet Muhammad SAW showed his romance and love by caressing the wife, to allow the wife to comb the hair of the Prophet, to bathe together. Sayyidah Aisyah narrated: “I used to bathe junub with Rasulullah SAW from a vessel where our hands alternated (took water) in it.” (HR Bukhari, Muslim, and Ibn Hibbah), with additional history, “When our hands (Aisha and the Prophet) touch each other".
Making the Knee as a Focus on Riding Camels
This story happened to the wife of another Prophet named Shafiyyah. Shafiyyah ibn Huyai ibn Akhthab was the wife of the Prophet after Shafiyyah's husband was killed at a young age. This happened when Shafiyyah was about to ride a camel. Because the camel is higher than the physical Shafiyyah, the Prophet also helped Shafiyyah can ride more easily. The Prophet reverently gave his knees as a pedestal to make it easier for the Shaffiyah to climb on the camel. Anas said as narrated by Imam Bukhari:
“Then we went to Medina (from Khaibar). I saw Nabi Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam providing a soft seat of cloth behind him for Shafiyyah. Then he sat down beside his camel while upholding his knee and Shafiyyah put his foot on his knee so that he could ride the camel.” (Silver Bukhari)
Such attitudes also show if the Prophet Muhammad SAW glorify and number one woman first (lady first). The Prophet gave maximum service to women.
In the hadith narrated by Anas bin Malik RA in HR Nasa’i in As-Sunanul Kubra (number 9162), The Messenger of Allah to Shafiyyah also showed his love by wiping his wife's tears when the wife was sad on a journey.
“One time when Shafiyyah with Rasulullah SAW on the way. That day was his part. But Shafiyyah was very slow in her path, then the Prophet faced her while she cried and said, ‘You carried me on a slow camel.’ Then the Prophet of Allah wiped away the tears of Shafiyyah with both hands.”
Once still with his wife, Shafiyyah, the Prophet showed his tenderness by taking Shafiyyah. This is as narrated in HR Bukhari (number 1897), “Something when the Prophet SAW was in the mosque (Nabawi), while his wives were nearby then they returned home. The Prophet said to Shafiyyah bint Huyay: ‘Do not rush so that I can go home with you’.”
This attitude encourages a person to abandon his arrogance by helping his wife and others who need help. Or teach someone to be humble and leave prestige. The Prophet gave tauladan housekeeping calmly and wisely.
