092. A RING

Lion and Karen are at a skateboard store in the same mall that Melody and Niko are in. They went to that place to buy a Lion skateboard that had been delayed because of many things. Confusedly the young man was still picky on some skateboards for him.

"This is all, Lion. You like white, right?" Karen gave Lion a white skateboard.

Lion thought for a moment because white was not his favorite color even though all the items he had were white. He saw a black skateboard and immediately picked it up.

"I'll just buy this one. The size is appropriate and from the brand I like." Lion. "What's your favorite color Key?"

"Lilac or purple." Answer Karen.

Lion went around the store and picked up a skateboard with Karen's favorite color.

"I'm gonna buy this for you, you wanna learn skateboarding, right?" Lion looked at Karen who looked delighted. "When the twelfth grade of the exam we'll take a day off, I'll teach you."

"really?" Karen looked very happy.

"He's my classmate, Niko." Melody said after Kevin chose to leave. "Why did you get angry just because he was talking to me?"

"Don't talk to any man!" Niko cried still with an annoyed face.

"All right." Answer Melody.

"I'll pay and after that we eat first, I'm hungry so irritable." Said Niko after that walk to the cashier followed by the saleswoman who had since brought the clothes that Melody had chosen.

Niko and Melody enter the steakhouse at the mall. Melody was shocked when she saw Lion and Karen at one of the tables there. Karen who saw them was similarly shocked.

"That's not Melody and Niko?" Karen's speech made Lion who was looking at the menu book turn to the entrance. "Melody... Niko.." call Karen with a gesture of her hand.

Niko looked at them and directly walked towards Lion and Karen's table, Melody just followed her.

"You guys are here too?" Lion asked in surprise.

"We're just gonna order, just join us." Karen cried with a smile.

"okay." Reply Niko immediately sat down and put the groceries he brought to the right side.

The four of them chose the menu for a moment. The table they sat on had four chairs on each side. Melody sat opposite Karen, on her right side was Niko while Lion on her left.

"You're out shopping?" ask Karen. "Gee, there's a lot of shopping." Karen looked at the shopping bag that Niko had placed down, from the position Karen was sitting in she could see there were five shopping bags. "It's a coincidence that we met here."

"You guys bought skateboards?" Ask Niko.

Melody saw two skateboards gathered below between Lion and Karen. Melody was a little surprised because the black skateboard must have belonged to Lion. Usually he would buy anything in white but this time not.

"My skateboard was smashed, and I just bought it again." Lion replied that sat facing each other with Niko. "How long has the food been up? The worms in my stomach are already a concert." Lion muttered.

"Melody, can I see the clothes you bought?" Before Melody answered, Karen first opened a shopping bag close to her. "It's all warm clothes? It's all white. You like white, don't you?"

Melody nodded.

"All that I'll take with me when I get to Russia." Answer Melody. "It's so cold there that I always have to wear thick clothes."

Lion was confused about what to do because Melody really followed all of his words.

"Your favorite color is the same as Lion? You guys have been friends since childhood." Karen.

Melody immediately turned to Lion, because she knew that the one who likes white is herself while the Lion is black.

"I'm going to ask you why the food came so long ago." Lion got up and walked over to ask about his old order coming, even though it was only his reason for trying to avoid Melody's gaze.

"How's your brother doing?" Ask Karen again.

"It hasn't passed its critical period yet." Niko answered because Melody did not answer.

"Just calm down, he'll be cured. The former head of OSIS was so cool, he must have gone through a critical period and recovered soon."

Finally their orders were delivered. Lion immediately sat down and immediately ate his ordered steak.

"When you take the twelfth grade off, do you want to come with us?" Niko asked while chopping up the meat steak. "We are planning a vacation to island B. Lion, come with us."

"How is it..." Lion replied after swallowing his food. "I haven't surfed and dived in a long time. Key, you want to come?"

"I don't know if I got my father's permission or not." Answer Karen.

"I'll help your father with his permission." Lion.

"My father hates you because you've been at school. He'll definitely ban it." Karen put her grumpy face on Lion. "Even you put my father bald."

"What if I ask permission?" Melody asked looking at Karen who was in front of her. "I need a friend while I'm there."

"All right." Karen Smile. "You must be afraid of Niko, right? You will soon be married."

Niko laughed hearing that, while Lion glanced at Melody who looked relieved because Karen's answer agreed.

"Eat." Niko traded her cut-up steak for Melody's steak.

"So that's why you didn't touch your food from earlier, Melody? Ah, you're jealous." Karen.

"They just want to show off their affection in front of us." Whisper the Lion because even though everyone can hear. "Eat one steak not full, I'll order again. You want Key too?"

"I'm asking for a little of you, Lion." Karen replied after that Lion called the waitress.

Melody noticed the familiarity that was already established between Lion and Karen. The two of them quickly became very familiar. It was no wonder, since they had the same nature, they both easily got along with anyone. Melody felt pain in her heart seeing Lion being able to get close to another girl besides her.

"There was no one at home. I'm not gonna ask you to come in." Melody said when Niko stopped her car in front of Melody's house.

"Yes, I already know. Your father warned me earlier. He sent me a message." Niko smiled.

"Alright, then I'll be right in."

"Wait a minute!" Niko Seru. "Your father has also let us go on vacation."

"You said that."

"I mean, don't come down first. I still want to be with you." Niko.

Melody understood, she immediately positioned her seat to sit back comfortably and did not go down.

"Your father said that we could get married after you were sixteen. I can't wait for him." Niko Smile. "And there seems to be something I have to give you."

Melody turned her head as Niko reached into the pocket of her left coat, and took out a small red box. Melody was able to estimate what it contained, therefore she looked back to the front, her heart racing.

"Melody, this is for you." Niko opened the box.

Melody looked over and saw a ring inside. A ring with a sparkling jewel.

"Because we've been approved for marriage so even if I didn't propose before, I think I'd at least give you a ring." Said Niko with a sharp look. "Do you want to take it?"

"I'll take it." Reply Melody stiffly.

Niko immediately took the ring and held Melody's left hand, then put it on.

"After I put you on the ring, I'll kiss you." Niko.

Melody was surprised to see Niko approaching her.
