089. BOTH LIONS

At five o'clock in the afternoon, Leo, Melody's father is getting ready to make dinner. He looked around at some of the groceries and other stocks were already empty.

"It's all fucked up if there's no such arrogant kid." Leo muttered open the kitchen cabinet. The proud son by him was his eldest son, Athos.

"What's dad?" Ask Melody who just came down.

"This week's stock has run out a lot." His father was busy opening the closet to look for anything that was not there. "Why did Niko come home?"

"She said she wanted to sleep because she was sleepy." Answer Melody. "Dad, let me go shopping."

"What's? No, let me just let me." Leo looked at Melody.

"I've been able to drive and the supermarket isn't far away, right?"

"Since when can you drive?" Leo walked up to his daughter.

"It was over a month ago. I also went by myself a few times." Melody's smile was delighted. "I was shopping, I was bored at home. Dad stopped me from going to the hospital, but I wanted to see Ato's sister."

"Okay, but be careful." Exclaimed Leo.

Leo escorted his daughter out of the house, and she kept watching him until Melody drove her car. After that Leo took his phone and called Niko.

"Can you come now? There's something I want to talk about your plan, Niko." Said Leo.

"Well, I'm going there now." Answer Niko.

After hanging up Niko's phone, Leo again contacted someone. This time he called Lion.

"Lion, where are you?" Ask Leo.

"On the way home. What's up?" Ask Lion.

"Can you help me? Maybe this is the last time I'll ask you for your help as Melo's father."

"What's? What do you mean, Leo?"

Melody immediately surrounded the supermarket to pick up the items that made it to the list her father gave her. This was the first time she had ever shopped for such a house that she was alone. Usually Athos did it, and once the girl went shopping but with Lion.

Melody bought some milk boxes and picked them up on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator, so the girl had to crouch down to pick them up. Suddenly she felt something cold touch her cheek. Melody quickly turned her head and looked back.

"I just remembered it looks like you still have a debt to treat me once. Because it's been too long I've forgotten." Said Lion who brought the canned drink closer to Melody's left cheek, just like that time. "I want you to buy me this drink."

Melody immediately stood up and looked at Lion. He asked why Lion could be in this place, but no questions were thrown from his lips, and only a gaze.

"Leo called me, I mean your dad, he asked me to come with you shopping." Lion replied who instantly knew the intent of Melody's gaze. "You better tell your father not to tell me anything else."

"All right, I'll tell him later." Melody.

"Then, let's finish quickly." Lion exclaimed as he pushed the trolley that was already filled with some items.

For a moment Melody watched the Lion who was walking away while pushing the trolley. He thought this was the last time they would be together.

"Melon, let's hurry!!" Lion looked at Melody. "Why dream?"

Melody immediately walked towards Lion. The girl thrust the note paper at Lion.

"You'll finish it." Melody.

"Why me?" Look at Lion wonder. "All right." Lion waved his lips and immediately took the note paper.

Melody simply stared at Lion from behind without helping to do anything. Lion pushed the trolley and picked up the items that were on the note paper. The girl continued to stare at the back of the young man who had known her since childhood.

I will miss you when we are apart.

"What's? What did you say?" Lion asked Melody.

"I didn't say anything." Resist Melody was confused and just walked right away.

Finished shopping, Melody and Lion were on their way home. Melody said nothing while shopping. He was silent, and so was Lion. Usually Lion always talks a lot of things first, but it was just a few sentences that came out of his mouth, it was also about their groceries.

Melody just looked out the window of the car door while on the way. He did not understand why his father was still asking Lion for help.

"Your father was worried you were driving alone. You better not drive yourself anymore." Lion. "You don't have a SIM, do you?"

"You don't have one either." Melody looked ahead.

"Because it's now wherever I take public transportation." Lion. "You know Melon, in Russia it's very cold, you have to wear very thick clothes while there. Don't let you get sick. Tell Niko too if you have to turn on the warmers all day. If you can't live there tell Niko, she'll understand."

Melody turned to look at Lion who said that to her. Lion did not look at him and continued to pay attention to the front streets.

"Russian is also the most difficult language, you have to learn it from now on. Don't get confused while you're there. What if you get lost and you get confused when you want to ask for help? You need to stay with Niko so that doesn't happen."

"Yes, I'll listen to everything you say." Melody replied feeling strange with all the Lion's words that showed concern for her.

Lion turned to Melody and smiled at the girl.

"You should also say what you want to say to Niko, don't just stare at her because it will confuse Niko."

Melody only realized that it was often done, and only Lion understood without having to say anything.

"All right." Answer Melody briefly.

"I've thought things through and got answers about your plans, Niko." Said Leo sitting with Niko on the living room sofa. "After the exam you can get engaged but postpone your marriage for two months, at least until Melo is sixteen years old. It's not until two months old that she's sixteen."

"Alright, it doesn't matter." Niko replied with a happy smile. "But after getting engaged I'll still take her to Russia and wait until her new birthday we'll have the wedding. Do you mind?"

"Niko, Melo has never been away from home and for a long time. If you take him straight to Russia I'm afraid he can't adapt there. He also finds it difficult to get along with new people. I'm afraid he'll trouble you."

"That's all right, dad. I'll take care of him, he'll be comfortable there. He won't trouble me. I'll make him adapt quickly to Russia."

"Why do you really want to marry Melo, Niko?" Look Leo.

"I love her very much. Your daughter made me like her the first time I saw her, and the more I loved her."

"Never hurt her, I won't forgive you if you make her cry." Threat Leo. "You also have to be patient in the face of that cold nature."

"That's the appeal of your daughter, father." Niko Smile.

"All right, I believe you. I'll give my daughter to you." Said Leo. "Make him happy with you, not with your wealth. You gotit?"

Niko nodded with a happy smile.

Suddenly the door opened and Melody appeared from outside. The girl was surprised to see Niko at her house with her father. But Melody who came with Lion who was standing behind the girl made Niko look even more surprised at the presence of those who came together.

"It turns out you're here, Niko." Lion said walking in carrying a lot of grocery bags and put them in the kitchen.

"Why didn't you tell me you were going to my house, Niko?" Ask Melody.

"Dad asked him to come." Answer Leo.

Niko is still digesting what happened. Somehow she becomes jealous when Melody shows up with Lion, and they go shopping together.

"I'll go home first." Pamit Lion walked towards the door.

"Lion!! Come have dinner with us." Leo stopped Lion's steps.

Niko looked at Melody's father in surprise.
