MELODY MUSKETEERS (M911 & TTM)
063. TEARS OF KING RIMBA

After school Melody and her twin sisters Athos and Aramis and Anna return together. Today Prothos also did not go to school because since yesterday week he went to the next town without anyone knowing.

"Lion doesn't know where he is. Where'd he go?" Aramis told Athos while driving. "Before the graduation exam but he didn't think about it."

"His homeroom teacher also called him to come to school. I'll just have my uncle come to school tomorrow." Athos.

"Did he go to another city? Is he looking for a teacher?" Ask Anna.

"No, he's not looking for her. If he's looking for her, he'll have found her." Answer Athos. "Looks like he didn't intend to look for her because he felt guilty for the teacher."

"But Oto is fine, right, brother? Nothing bad happened to him, right?" Melody asked worriedly. "I'm afraid Oto's sister is having a bad thing."

"He's fine Melo. If he's why-why must've had news." Athos turned to look at Melody who was sitting behind him. "How, are you okay with meeting Niko in class?"

Melody nodded with doubt. Aramis notices Melody through the rearview mirror in the middle of the driver's window.

"Sister, I've heard about Mr. Tasya's wedding to be held this Saturday. Is that why Tasya never came home again? Have you guys split up? Is brother Ato okay?" Melody asked, looking at Athos, who turned her body away from her sister's gaze.

"Lion gives flowers to a girl. Have you seen the video?" Anna's exclamation helps Athos distract Melody as Athos appears to be unwilling to answer her sister's question.

"That boy just distracts me so he can run away from the girl." Said Aramis watching Melody from the rearview. "He is allergic to any girl, it is impossible to seriously give the flower. Ah, no, that boy's gay."

Anna laughs at Aramis saying that she believes Melody must not think that the Lion likes Karen.

"Ato, I just remembered something. I have to go." Aramis stopped his car on the side of the road.

...***...

Lion goes to the coffee shop where Mona works. He brought a box of donuts and sat down at his usual place. Mona saw the presence of Lion with his head bobbing because she did not think that Lion would come again bothering her, even though he had not come for a few days.

Lion's face seemed to show a look of sadness when sitting down. Mona watched him continuously and was increasingly convinced that Lion was currently very sad. Although Lion continued to stare at the screen of his cellphone, but occasionally the young man touched the corner of his eyes like he was wiping tears that were about to come out of his own eyes.

"In the end he couldn't hold it." Mona muttered that standing behind the cashier's desk which was at the twelve o'clock direction from where Lion was sitting.

Nothing Lion said. He took a deep breath and took the three doughnuts he was carrying and piled them on the index finger of his left hand. He tried to focus on eating his donuts while reading the messages he got from his friends, trying not to think about what he had previously thought.

"Where are you Oto?" Lion muttered as he read the answers of his friends who did not see the whereabouts of Prothos.

"Drink." Mona approached the Lion and placed a glass of milk in front of him.

"I didn't order it." Answer Lion.

"Let's just calm this for free." Mona said as she sat in front of Lion. "It's the last day I'm working here."

"Where are you really going?" Lion asked in surprise. "Are you getting married?"

"I'm only 19 years old by the end of this year, I'm not getting married that fast." Answer Mona. "I got a new job, Niko helped me get it."

"That's nepotism's name." Lion said with his eyes. "When did you start working at your new place? I'll come see you there too."

"Then what about me?"

Mona laughed when she heard it. Lion showed as if he was sad for his departure. Mona thought of advising Lion because she could not bear to see the sadness of the young man earlier.

"You should have told Niko that you couldn't help her." Mona looked at Lion. "The last time I saw Niko, she said that you guys were like brothers. She would definitely understand and not continue her plans again to marry Melody."

"Mona, after your brother Mario, I don't want to lose my friend anymore. Losing your annoying sister just makes me feel so guilty, especially if I lose Niko. He was very kind to me, and always thought of me as his brother. We are like brothers so I don't want to lose him. Niko is a very nice person I know. I don't want to lose anyone else."

"But you've lost someone you like." Mona exclaimed in a slightly irritated tone. "You always act like you don't like it, but everyone knows that you like Melody a lot. I'm also sure that Niko knew about it. Doesn't it matter if you lose it? Though you broke with Mario because he hurt the girl, but why are you acting like this now? You not only hurt yourself, you hurt that girl. So which one of you regrets the most, cut off your friendship with Mario or you'll lose Melody forever? Niko would have accepted it if you had told her."

"You don't understand Mona. This is too complicated to understand for anyone unrelated to this issue. The girl herself decided that if she was willing to marry Niko, I couldn't do anything either."

"You can tell Niko that you like Melody."

"No! I don't like it." Lion answered looking hard at Mona but then withdrew his gaze. "Now I just have to convince myself like that."

...***...

Aramis stood by the lake watching the lake in this shady afternoon. At four o'clock in the afternoon, clouds covered the sun so the sky looked cloudy. He's waiting for someone there. There was something he wanted to tell the man.

"Did you call me to beat me up like I used to? I thought you'd ambush me like that. This place is very quiet and rarely passed by people. If you kill me here, no one will know."

Aramis turned her body to welcome the presence of the mixed-blooded young man she had been waiting for. Niko walked closer to Aramis after getting out of her luxury car which was parked quite far away. As usual Niko smiled mockingly at Aramis, grinning.

"You know, after my hand you maimed I became weak. How can I defeat you who is known as an invincible monster." Seru Niko stood at a distance of five meters from Aramis.

"Just calm down, I'm not planning on beating you up. At least not now." Aramis replied, his gaze was very sharp.

Niko laughed in response to Aramis's words. Then he approached and pulled Aramis in his grip. Staring at Aramis face very close, their eyes met and looked at each other, exuding a sense of hatred for both of them.

"Why did you call me?!" Niko asked, Aramis eyes were only inches away from her gaze.

Aramis had thought of everything before she asked to meet with Niko today. He thought of Melody's words as she shouted at him about Niko's suffering. All that he thought about after learning about Anna's illness. Melody was right, Niko suffered the most from all her foolish actions in the past. His life was shattered after his dream of becoming a swimming athlete ran aground because of his childish actions.

At least now he wanted to give a little happiness to the young man.

"I ask forgiveness from you." Answer Aramis coldly.
