128. I AM THE KING OF THE JUNGLE

Karen was sitting on the chair staring at Melody who was on the bed focusing on her phone screen. He felt that the girl in front of him right now was a very terrible girl.

Not once did Melody ask about the Lion coming home alone leaving them. Although he had told Lion that there was business but the girl should have asked again about the young man, no matter how they had been together since childhood.

Karen increasingly understood about the feelings of Lion who felt neglected by the girl. Though Melody likes Lion, but he never once showed his love to Lion. Even if I just ask no.

"Mell."

Melody turned her gaze to Karen who was sitting on the chair before her. The girl said nothing and waited for Karen to talk to her, but Karen said nothing so she looked back at the screen.

"Have you always been like this?" Karen asked after not being able to bear to say something to Melody.

Melody looked back at Karen without a word.

"Lion's gone for something." Karen said, but again Melody said nothing to respond. "You want to know because of what?"

"Do I have to know?" Melody asked without expression. "Is there something to do with you? I don't think so, that's why I don't need to know."

"Have you always been like this?" Karen repeated the question at the beginning. "Who is the Lion to you?"

Melody was silent at Karen's question. He does like Lion but for him Lion is nobody anymore.

"Did you know Lion likes you?"

"He doesn't like me. You take it easy, Karen." Answer Melody. "You don't have to think about anything that's not on us. You also said that he loved you, right? So you don't worry about our relationship."

Karen simply threw her breath away in annoyance. She couldn't tell Melody that she and Lion weren't actually dating. The truth is that Lion rejected him.

The Flashback

"Sorry Key, I can't accept you."

Lion's answer to Karen. The girl also knew that the Lion actually did not like her.

Karen who wants to be with Lion always asks Lion to date him after Lion says he will go far away (Living with Polar Bear). He said he wanted to when Lion was about to drive him home after teaching him to skateboard.

"I've liked someone for a long time." Lion looks serious about saying it. "I can't accept you, it'll feel bad for you." Lion's answer was the same when he rejected Sandra first.

"Melody?" Karen asked who stood before Lion. "Yes, it must be him. Everybody knows that."

Lion did not answer and just bowed his head.

"She's getting married to Niko. Then what about you?" Karen asked the silent Lion. "You're gonna let him? You don't want to do anything to stop him?"

Lion raised his head in shock at the girl's words. She didn't think that Karen would even say that to her.

"If you want, I can help you. I'll help you because I know you can't do anything to Niko. I don't know why you look so good on him." Karen. "That makes me a little disappointed in you."

"really? Do you want to help me, Key?" Lion was pleased with Karen's words.

"Yes, I'll help you, just tell me what's your plan? I will follow all your words. Instead, you should teach me all the things you can. I think it's balanced."

Lion smiled hearing Karen's answer to him. At that time Lion looked like he had a hope.

After a conversation with Niko in the gymnasium at Niko's house, Niko asks that Lion make Melody hate her in exchange for Niko supporting Lion's wishes about Aramis. So Lion can't stop Niko anymore when Niko does anything to Melody. Karen who wants to help him make him have a way how she keeps Melody from Niko.

Added to Melody's kiss on Lion. It makes Lion know that Niko will be angry and want to touch Melody, evident from the next day Niko bit Melody to mark her. So that Karen's whereabouts she desperately needs on this vacation in keeping Melody from angering Niko.

"I'm going to sleep, will you be my storyteller, Karen?"

Flashback Off

Drrrtt drrrtt drrrtt

Melody's phone shook, an unfamiliar number called her. Melody had no intention of picking her up, the girl had a habit of not answering numbers that were not on her phone number list. Until a message appears.

It's me Emma. I'm outside the mansion. There's something I want to talk to you about.

The message from Emma makes Melody feel confused because she does not know that the girl has her mobile number. He also did not understand what he wanted to talk about.

Emma's smile greeted Melody's steps who came to her. Melody gave no expression whatsoever in response to the girl's friendly smile.

"It's true what I heard." Emma said as Melody was in front of her. "You're a very cold and stiff girl, I don't understand why Er is crazy about you."

"I think everybody knows you don't like Er. It's so noticeable of you that you don't react to anything when I kiss her." Emma. "That's very bad for him. Yeah, I didn't like it until we moved to Russia. Turns out he's a very nice guy. She loved me so much, I could say I was her first love. But unfortunately I'm a naughty girl, although I like it but I also go with a lot of men. It was so bad that I chose to leave it."

"But you left him when he had an accident. When she needed someone to support her." Cold Melody.

"Because it's the right time." Emma answered with a smile. "For he hates me. I am a very cruel girl. I felt guilty and wanted to go back to her, but she really hated me."

"Then what do you mean tell me all that now?" Melody looked at Emma with extreme coldness.

"If you leave him, too, it's very unfair to him. He's a poor guy for meeting the wrong girl like me. I don't want him to experience it anymore." Emma said with a sad face. "You don't like it, but you can't leave it. He also deserves whatever makes him happy, because all this time he's lost all that."

Melody felt that all of Emma's words were true. That is also the reason why he still wants to be with Niko even though he does not love the poor young man. Melody wanted to give Niko a little happiness.

"That's all I want to tell you." Emma smiled at Melody. "By the way, say my regards to one of your sisters, yes."

Melody looked at Emma in surprise.

"I idolized one of your sisters." Emma.

"Which brother?" Melody asked curiously.

"I hope this time I'll beat your brother." Emma replied with a hidden smile while walking backwards. "Hopefully we can meet again."

A female dog with a large belly enjoyed the food already provided by a flat-expressed young man.

The young man crouched to watch the dog who was very greedy to eat his food.

He gently bought the dog that was enjoying the food by thinking about the words he had heard from someone.

You're just trying to stop Melo, why aren't you trying to stop Niko?

Lion thinks it's impossible, because Niko likes Melody so much, how can she stop Niko without making Niko hate her. No one can stop Niko.

"Tonight I will accompany you, you need not worry, In exchange, I will take something valuable from you later. Don't you mind?"

Lion said to the female dog who looked at him as if understanding with her words so as to reveal her two fangs.

"I am the king of the jungle, and this is my forest. I will not let anyone do as they please. Only I can do anything in my territory."
