182. AUDITION INVITATIONS

Melody sat with Mona on the dining table chair in the late afternoon. The girl was upset at Lion because the young man had left since morning. He did not want to contact her hoping that Lion would contact her first but it seemed that Lion who met his friend would always forget about anything else.

"What's wrong? You look upset." Mona asked who was sitting in front of Melody. "The boy must be with his friends, he'll be home by midnight or tomorrow morning. You better call him first."

But Melody was not his name if he could not help expressing his feelings for Lion. He would not contact Lion first and wanted Lion to contact him with his own consciousness.

"Why were Prothos and Aramis so long ago? They said they'd be home by four? It's five o'clock not home yet. When they go to the cafe, they forget time." Mona muttered. "They offered to go shopping but didn't come home at this hour, knowing that I was going shopping by myself. I should've started cooking for dinner." Mona looks very upset while texting Prothos.

"Order the food outside, Mona. You don't have to be upset that." Melody said with a small smile at Mona's annoyance.

"If you are outside the men will definitely forget the time and do not care about others. They forgot all his words." Mona muttered still annoyed with the gaze towards the mobile phone screen. "Both of your sisters didn't read my message either. Men are not reliable for everything."

"Let me order some food for dinner." Melody.

"no need. I'll have them both buy it on the street when I get home."

Suddenly the house bell rang, Mona immediately went to open the door of the house.

"Good afternoon, sorry to interrupt, I'm the producer Danny Arya of Pentatonix Management, can I talk to Melody for a minute?" Said a well-dressed, forty-something-year-old man standing at the door.

Mona immediately invited the man in and sat on the living room sofa, then looked at Melody who was sitting on the dining table chair leading to the living room.

Melody was shocked to discover that the man who came to her house was a famous music producer.

Mona immediately calls Athos who is in her room to accompany Melody talking to Danny Arya. After that he made drinks in the kitchen while listening to the conversation of those in the living room

"I received a demo record about a few days ago." Said Danny Arya. "After hearing the demo, I became interested in Melody, so I found out about you and saw some videos of you performing at some of the races that were followed. Melody is really a talented girl in music, I'm really fascinated." He looked at Melody.

"Please drink." Mona put down a drink for the guest.

"Thank you." Danny Arya.

“Demo Records?" Melody asked thinking. He realized that the one who sent the Demo Record was Lion. So that's why Lion recorded his performance at the graduation party yesterday.

"What did you mean by arrival?" Ask Athos.

"Pentatonix Management was looking for female singers who could also use musical instruments, so I intended to give Melody an audition invitation." Danny Arya answered while thrusting a piece of paper on the table. "There are five other female singers as candidates, if Melody is willing to audition then there are six candidates. Singers who pass the audition will be signed by Pentatonix Management. All the details and the audition schedule are on the invitation."

At the moment Melody was truly delighted after receiving the audition invitation from Pentatonix Management. All thanks to Lion. Lion sent the Demo Record to Pentatonix Management.

After Danny Arya's departure, Melody walks into her room ignoring Athos and Mona, who are discussing Melody's audition invitation.

He took a breath to let out his excitement. With the invitation, it means his dream to continue in his mother's footsteps one step closer. It's all because of Lion.

Lion was at a restaurant with his friends. Suddenly his phone rings. He was surprised when he saw the name of the caller on the phone screen was Melody. Lion quickly exited the restaurant, to receive the call.

Melody did not answer immediately so that made Lion even more anxious.

"Melon, quickly tell me what's going on? Where're you?"

"Thank you." Melody.

"Ke—why thank you?" Lion asked confused.

"There's something I want to tell you, but not on the phone." Answer Melody.

"Well, you're home, right?"

"I don't want to talk at home." Melody told Lion to take her out.

"Then I'll call you when I get to your house." Lion said. "I'm in the city next door right now but I'm gonna launch right now like a rocket."

She heard Melody smile. The girl forgot that she did not want to call Lion first but the presence of Danny Arya made her want to immediately tell the young man and be the reason to call Lion.

Melody sat leaning back in her chair. He picked up his guitar gently. Suddenly the thinnest number one string scratched his index finger before it disconnected. Melody quickly sucked the blood coming out of her finger.

"Why did the strings suddenly break?" He felt something strange.

It had been almost two hours for Melody to wait for Lion in her room. He continued strumming the guitar, after replacing the broken strings. Melody became anxious as to why Lion hadn't called her yet. Does Lion not want to meet him at this time? It becomes a question in his head.

"Where is he?" Melody stopped strumming her guitar. The girl took a breath and hugged her favorite guitar. "When I called him he was busy? Doesn't he want to see me, Gita?" Ask him his guitar.

"Mil." Call Prothos open the door to Melody's room in a hurry.

"What's up, brother?" Melody asked confusedly at the look on Prothos' face.

"Ars is getting ready in the car, you better go with her to the hospital!" Prothos Seru.

Melody's heart skipped a beat after hearing the word hospital. He immediately got up from his seat.

"A—ada what? Why, why go to the hospital? Who—"

"Lion has an accident. It looks like it's very bad." Prothos answered Melody's question quickly.

Without Melody noticing, tears immediately flowed out of the eye pelukur after hearing Prothos' words.

So because of that until now Lion has not called him. Not because Lion didn't want to see him but because the young man had an accident. Then is the broken string a sign when Lion accident?
