124. DREAMS THAT HURT YOU
"Nothing." Answer Karen. "I just just wanted to talk." Karen smiled broadly.
After that Karen stood up again, and ran to the sea carrying ice cream in the plastic bag she was carrying.
"YOU ARE ALREADY!! IT'S LUNCH TIME!!" Karen waved at Lion and Niko. "YOU MUST BE TIRED TOO!!"
The two young men who were in a fierce fight finally stopped. The two of them gasped for breath with a laugh.
"Damn you Lion, my palms hurt again." Said Niko taking off the gloves on her left hand and showing her left hand that was still in the bandage.
"You started, you fool!!" Lion still caught his breath. "Come on, I've been so thirsty and hungry."

After lunch, Niko asked one of her workers to buy water-repellent bandages and plaster for a wound on her left hand. The previous bandage was damaged due to his fight with the Lion at sea earlier.
"It's young master." Said a worker giving the bandage to Niko.
Niko picked it up and was about to go into her room again, Melody who had just exited the room beside Niko's room, saw it.
"Relic." Calling Melody made Niko stop before entering her room. "You want to change the bandage?"
"Yes, since it's broken I have to replace it." Answer Niko.
"Let me help." Said Melody who was still standing in front of the door of her room.
"All right, come in."
"Wait, Niko! Let's go to the dinner table." Melody.
"Then there's no need." Niko answered and went straight to her room.
Melody was speechless after Niko's stern answer to her. He was confused as to what to do. But the girl immediately went back into her room.
Niko becomes upset back at Melody. He felt somehow the girl became so distrustful of him. He had already kept his promise all along, other than that bite, he had never touched it at all.
Niko violently opened the bandage on her left hand by enduring the pain. His stab wound was still painful, but his sense of regret overpowered him.
"She is a troublesome girl. It's so hard to make her fall in love!!" Niko Muttered.
Suddenly the door to his room opened. Melody appeared from the outside. Niko glanced at him for a moment but her sense of regret made her lazy to see Melody's presence.
"You don't have to go in if you have to." Niko tried to unroll the bandage on her left hand and it made her feel even more pain.
Melody walked in and left the door open. The girl approached Niko who was sitting on the side of the bed.
"You want me to help you?" Ask Melody.
Niko laughed at Melody's question. He thought that the girl should not have to ask and just help him.
"No, you just watch." Answer Niko.
Melody directly shifted the chair in front of Niko and sat down. The girl immediately took over opening the bandage in Niko's hands.
"I thought you'd be right to watch." Niko.
"You look like you're in pain. Does it still hurt?" Tanya Melody removed the gauze that became the last layer of stitches in Niko's wound. "It's all covered up." Melody touched the stitches on Niko's left palm slowly.
"But it still hurts." Answer Niko. "I can't hold anything firmly. So if you want to leave, leave while I haven't held you very firmly."
Melody didn't tease Niko because she felt that Niko was just talking. The girl picked up a new gauze to start covering her wound.
"The part here is perfectly covered" said Melody holding the back of Niko's left palm. Where the back of the palm was there was also a burn scar. "You don't use your left hand too much for this to heal. What were you and Lion doing? It's making your hands hurt again."
"We're just fucking." Niko answered making Melody silent with a reddened face. "That's another word for our closeness."
Melody continued her flurry of closing Niko's hand with a bandage and lastly with water-repellent plaster. Suddenly Niko held the scraft that was on Melody's neck.
"You take it easy, I'm not gonna fuck around." Niko exclaimed as Melody was shocked when she touched Mona's scraft worn by Melody. "I'll try not to do it again. It would be a shame if everyone at school saw the sign I made, because we're going to school soon."
Melody was relieved to hear Niko's words. Finally he felt Niko thinking about the thing that kept bothering Melody.
"But I didn't promise. It all depends on you." Niko. "Don't make me feel jealous or angry again. I've suffered so much with the fact that you still don't love me."
"Did you see what I did to Lion in the hospital?" Melody asked looking at Niko after she finished changing Niko's left hand bandage.
Niko did not answer and just bit her lower lip hard.
"I'm sorry, but you don't have to worry. It wasn't a kiss, I just got carried away with him out of pity when I saw him lying in the hospital." Melody. "You don't have to think of it as an important kiss, just think of it as your first kiss with my sister."
"Then can I kiss you and you think of it that way too?" Stare Niko turned Melody's words that she thought were more painful for her.
Melody became speechless now. Niko brought her face closer to Melody while the girl couldn't possibly dodge because of her words.
Unexpectedly, Lion heard all their conversations by leaning beside the open door of the room. Lion immediately walked to leave and did not want to hear anymore or did not want to know more. He started to step right when Karen came out of her room.
Lion saw Karen who caught him eavesdropping, but Lion walked away without saying anything to the girl who was his lover. Karen looked at Lion's back who left with a sad face after hearing Melody and Niko's conversation in the room whose door was open.
"Lion." Call Karen who follows Lion to the first floor.
Lion stopped his steps and turned to face Karen who was already behind him, three meters away from him standing.
"You gotta get up, Lion! Don't sleep on, it's not good for you." Karen told Lion. "You asked me to be your storyteller, right? But I think you better wake up. You can't live in your dreams. Only you can wake yourself."
"No, Key. I won't wake up again." Answer Lion.
"You're wrong Lion, you live in a dream that hurts you. If you wake up and face reality, you will lose nothing because the reality you live in is what you want. Whereas the dream you're living in right now is actually the guilt you're feeling."

Niko, who draws her face closer to kissing the girl she loves, stops her actions after she feels she shouldn't have done it, because she knows Melody doesn't want it.
"Go away, I'm not going to bother about that little thing anymore. I also promise I won't eat you again until we get married." Niko.
Melody was relieved that Niko did not kiss her, and added Niko's promise to her. The girl immediately got up to her feet but Niko held her arm with her left hand that was already wearing gloves.
"Listen to me, Melody, at the show later there might be someone I don't want to meet, you should know first who he is. She is—"
Lion appears at the door making Niko has not had time to say what he wants to tell Melody.
"Geez, you two are here." Exclaimed Karen who also appeared behind Lion. "Me and Lion are looking for you two. We'd better go now to buy souvenirs. We go to the birthday party tonight, right? We'll be home in the morning tomorrow too. We'd better take a walk now and buy souvenirs now."
Lion still stared at Niko's hand holding Melody's arm. He thinks he's late.
