MELODY MUSKETEERS (M911 & TTM)
152. MELODY'S DESTRUCTION

Melody went into Prothos' room at night. She wanted to see her brother and wanted to say what she felt at this moment. The sadness he felt when he heard Niko wanted to advance the wedding day couldn't take it anymore.

"Sir Oto, how is this?" Melody asked after opening the door of her brother's room and walked up to Prothos who was lying on the bed.

"What's up, Melo?" Prothus got up and immediately sat down to see his sister who looked sad with tears in her eyes. "You okay?"

"The longer things get closer and I get more scared. Even Niko was planning on having our wedding on my birthday." Replied Melody who was standing by the bed facing Prothos. "Now I'm feeling sad."

"Why are you sad? Didn't you decide everything, Melo? You shouldn't feel like this right now if you listen to what we say." Prothos. "Then what are you gonna do? Are you going to tell Niko to cancel? Do you want to pull all your words?"

"I don't know, brother. I don't want Niko to be sad. But I can't help my sadness now either. I want this to end without anyone being sad. I've tried to love Niko, but it turns out it's very difficult because I love Lion." Finally Melody confesses her feelings for Lion to Prothos even though her brother had heard of her before but she knows no one knows about it. "Lion will also go, I want to stop him but I can't do anything because I'm going to go myself."

Prothus drew his little sister into his arms. Although he was currently feeling sadness, he was more worried about Melody.

"Why should Niko come? Why does he love me? Why do I love Lion?" Said Melody sobbing in the arms of Prothos. "Help me overcome my sadness and fear, brother."

...***...

Prothos came down the stairs at seven in the morning. The two twins are still at the dinner table having breakfast. Mona is not home because she is shopping at the moment. Melody who cried in her arms last night continued to disturb her thoughts.

"Finally you're out of the room, too, Oto." Aramis exclaimed as Prothos sat on the seat to his left.

"You feel better?" Look at Athos sitting on the chair in front of Aramis.

"I feel worse after last night Melo cried to me." Prothus' words made both his twin look at him. "Eventually he felt not strong with everything he felt."

"What does that mean?" Ask Aramis.

"He doesn't want to marry Niko but he can't stop her. He did not want Niko to be sad. And finally he admitted that he loved Lion." Prothos.

Athos breathed. "I knew it would end up like this. I need to talk to Lion."

"There's nothing you can tell him. He still won't do anything. Lion doesn't want to do anything about Melo and Niko's relationship because he doesn't want Niko to hate him." Aramis. "There's nothing we can do."

"They're both like that just because they think of Niko. That pisses me off right now. Then only Niko has to stop all that planning." Athos.

"You're right, Ato." Prothos Seru. "Only Niko can stop him."

...***...

Mona walks into the house after returning from the supermarket. There was only Prothos sitting on the dining table chair. The young man looked at her.

"You're sober?" Sindir Mona while carrying two bags of groceries to the kitchen. "I thought you'd try to end your life again."

Mona looked at Prothos who looked very confident as she said so. He felt it was a good thing, after all he also did not want to see the young man continuously punishing himself.

Prothus listened to Mona's words to meet Wilda. Currently Prothos is in a coffee shop waiting for Wilda's presence.

"I was so happy when you called me, brother." Said Wilda while sitting in the chair in front of Prothos.

"Listen to me, you better not call me again. I don't want to see you anymore either." Speak Prothos without further ado.

"Don't do it, brother. I know you're just embarrassed because we're in a public place—"

"Don't act stupid by saying that. I know you also understand that I never want to be in touch with you. Everything I did to you was out of pity for a girl like you, but you took advantage of my pity by threatening me."

"I never threatened you, you misunderstood me."

Prothos snorted annoyedly at the words Wilda spoke with the vibrating voice that was his trademark.

"Why do you take care of me, brother? I was so happy to see you back. I can also see that pleasure in your eyes. Even I'm sure right now you're also happy that I'm seeing you—"

"I won't see you again after this, you better not try to get close to me either because I'm going to pretend I don't know you. Honestly, I'm sick of seeing your face." Speak Prothos coldly.

Prothos immediately walked out of the place leaving Wilda visibly weeping, then towards the parking lot where Mona was waiting for him in the car.

Mona runs her car when Prothos gets into the back seat. From Mona's rearview saw Prothos close his eyes. He didn't want to say anything to the young man because he couldn't bear to see it.

"From the beginning it was all my fault." Suddenly Prothos made a sound. "I went to see her because she knew our secret, I asked her to keep it a secret but it turned out that what I was doing ignited everything. Because of my comforting words while helping him, he who initially did not want to interfere became threatening to us. It was easy for the girl to ruin our relationship until one night she asked me to come see her at her apartment, when I was drunk because of the breakdown of my relationship with Widia. Unknowingly we made love that night, it was a betrayal I committed."

"But without me knowing it was me who kept avoiding her, making her threaten Widia. Because Widia didn't want me to get kicked out of school, Widia left me when I thought our relationship was okay. It makes me very sad but it turns out there's something else that makes me feel like I should punish myself." Prothos said with a hold of his sadness and stopped for a moment. "Because it was upset that I was still avoiding her, the girl wanted to get me out of the school but it was expected that Widia was because of that before the girl reported it to the school, Widia asks Anna to tell her first by saying that we've been in contact since Widia threatened me."

Mona looked at the rearview mirror and saw Prothos wiping his tears. Hearing the story made Mona feel the sadness of the young man.

"I made him unable to teach anymore as a teacher. Even as a woman, she looks bad in everyone's eyes. All because I wanted to graduate school. He left me by making a sacrifice. It makes me feel stupid and hate myself for not being able to do anything for her." Prothos' voice sounded very trembling because his neck felt choked. "Now what should I do to make me feel better?"

Mona stops her car on the side of the road and turns to Prothos who looks at her.

"You should see him. Tell Widia what you want to tell her. If you feel guilty then you must make amends for that." Answer Mona.
