A Piece of the Past In White Grey

A Piece of the Past In White Grey
The Large Family

“We've thought of everything, Mr. Raga. Whatever the risk is for Mikael we will continue to progress.” That's the word from Mikael's papa.

I don't know how my fate will be in the future. Married to a man who was almost perfect but the slightest taste for him was nonexistent. I feel like the worst woman. It's the same as if I'm playing Mikael.

“I'm sorry, Mik.” I glanced at the man who was also looking at me at this moment with a smile.

Until finally tonight both our parents have agreed to hold a fiancee event. My chest feels so hard to breathe.

“Alright, fiance will we do it in two weeks.” Mami and I were both shocked to hear Papi. Unlike Mikael and his family who just smile.

No one can dispute Papi Raga. Just follow his wishes I can do.

“Then we go home first. All preparations will be taken care of by my people.” said papah Mikael.

“Do not, Sir. Let it be for this preparation that I prepare with my wife. We want to give our best to Agatha.” I smiled again when I heard Papi say it all.

I want to be able to return to being a child who can continue to spend time with them and also Gara. I hate my age today. I hate the many problems I have to face.

“Why should it be two weeks away? That's too fast. Agatha definitely not ready.” Mami Tasha finally asks Papi after Mikael and his family come home.

Here we are just three. I dare not say anything. I know Mami doesn't want to make Papi's name bad in front of his business partner if he goes against Papi.

“Tasha, Agatha has agreed to a marriage. That means that sooner or later the engagement is not a problem. I don't want anything to happen with our son if it takes too long to delay.” I understand what Papi is worried about right now.

Papi was so afraid that I would make a disgrace in this family. And the only way is to get married fast.

“But, Ga.. This is too sudden. Even we haven't talked to the children's grandmothers and grandfathers. I am also not ready to part with Agatha.” Then I raised my face to hear Mami's words.

Mami Tasha looked so sad looking at Papi at this moment. I don't believe I can be loved so deeply by my adoptive parents.

“At least Because I won't be able to do anything else if I'm married, Mi.”.

Mami Tasha who was looking at me just sighed. I felt her hand gently rub my head.

“Mami and Papi continue to wish you all the best. You should really prepare yourself, Agatha. Marriage is only once so set your mind up huh? Mommy to room first.” I'm nodding.

Mami walked quickly towards the room in the aftercare with Papi who was chasing while calling Mami. Maybe in the room they'll argue again about me.

“What? A fiancee? Another week?” Grandma's face looked shocked. Mami Tasha and Papi only nodded after saying our intention was to have dinner at the house of Grandma Indri and Grandpa Firman.

Although I am not their grandson, but according to Papi and Mami this news is still mandatory they know.

“Agatha, are you ready? You're young, honey. What is the rush to get married anyway? You can make a career first. This must be your Papi, right?” look Grandma looked at Papi.

All of these quick decisions are in Papi's hands. But of course, of my own volition, too.

“No, Grandma. It's all been a deal between me and Mikael. We still have a career even though we are married. He also understands that I have to help Papi and Mami.” Grandma Indri nodded.

“But why should it be sudden for another week anyway, Ga? That's too mepet.” Oma Rima is now speaking.

We were all together tonight at Tasha's Mami's house as kids. It feels very crowded if it has gathered like this. Honey, my sister Gara can't be here yet. Besides, I also feel unprepared to face him at a time like this. My mind was completely dizzy at this moment considering the marriage that was getting closer.

“Actually in two weeks, Mom. But, we just had time to collect you here.” The faces of Grandma, Oma, and Grandpa both gawked at Papi's words.
