CHAPTER 1.8: THE REQUEST OF THE GOD

I released the Technique to hold the fox, extended my hand towards one of its heads and touched the bottom of its mouth, slightly lifting it up and bringing it closer to my face.

He no longer looked at me with hatred. Rather, it was a gaze that signaled an extremely strong sadness and frustration.

But neither of them were directed at me, it led to something very far away. Maybe that's the thing he's pointing at himself.

The fox collapsed on the ground, with its slightly shrunken body along with the golden-colored smoke coming out from the crack of its fur.

Then he tells some boring stories about the seasons, jokes of the Spirits or tells of our comrades who have disappeared because the Energy has been absorbed by the Seal."

Ebi lowered her head, every eye on her nine heads let out a tear, draining it and dripping on the cold surface of the grass.

The forest and mountains were filled with moonlight tonight, which made the surrounding scenery so clear. The black figure came up to me and threw something at me.
