CHAPTER 2.9: A LITTLE MISUNDERSTANDING

After coming out of the rows of forest trees, you will immediately see a small temple building that stands firmly in front. It was the abode of the Spirit Exterminator.

That should have been the information that Rune gave me before I got here but what I saw with my eyes right now was quite different from what the raccoon was conveying. All I saw when I came out was an ordinary house.

No, calling it a regular house is a little less than appropriate.

This house does not have two floors but is quite wide, with wooden walls surrounding it. A typical type of a traditional house with an antique and sparkling atmosphere. Even so, I understand why the Spirits misunderstood and called this house a temple.

This house was surrounded with quite a strong Energy around it, serving to repel the Spirits who were trying to enter. I've prepared myself to meet a monk but it seems a little off the mark, huh?

I knocked on the wooden fence that had the gap a few times while calling inside. Before long, out an old woman in slightly shabby clothes walked over to the fence.

The old woman opened the wooden fence and smiled gently at me. I replied with the same smile.

"Sorry to interrupt his time, yesterday I met an uncle who often went into the forest and had been helped by him. I came to thank him for his help, did the uncle live here?"

The old woman put her hands on her chin gracefully and furrowed her brows.

"Can you tell me his features?"

And after I said that with some hesitation, somehow the old lady in front of me started laughing out loud.

He actually laughed until he held his stomach and was out of breath, I was worried whether the laughter would endanger his life. After a while, the old woman finally stopped.

"Huh ... Huh ... Huh ... My stomach hurts, it's because a young man like you says something funny, to be honest it's dangerous for my health."

"Fourteen years and graduated Junior High? My son's age is one year older than you are."

We laughed a little and the atmosphere in the living room started to calm down a bit. The bald uncle drank his tea and looked at me.

"So, what do you want to talk about?"

Previously Rune said that recently there were Spirit Exterminators who did a lot of purification and set traps in the forest where they live.

But, was the one doing the purification really a Spirit Exterminator?

Perhaps, this person is just doing a purification without realizing if it is really powerful and expel the Spirits around his house?
