ACIEL'S DIARY : INDIGO
SHEET 5.12: ORIGIN

"So, what strange creature has a shape like this cat?"

Brother Ren looked at the black cat sitting while rubbing its fur beside me, all I could do right now was smile awkwardly. Do I have to answer honestly?

"As you can see, he's just a cat. I keep a black cat chord in the house, what do you think? Isn't she a little cute?"

I picked up Master and the cat immediately rebelled but soon came to a halt as I whispered something that offended the two meat bakpaos.

"Myau~"

The cat gave a cute pose, forgetting the self-esteem he had maintained all along. I almost laughed at it.

Brother Ren stepped closer, looking at the cat at a nearly touching distance. The master seemed to want to devour it and I strengthened the grip on my hand to warn him.

After observing the Master, Brother Ren smiled weakly and retorted.

"For me he just looks like a creepy weird pesky black cat but thank God he's your pet cat. I won't ask you anything anymore."

Master seemed annoyed at his words, but on the other hand there was only anxiety that haunted me when I saw that smile.

Eh? Did he just believe it? No, this cat was emitting a greenish glow earlier and of course this person must have seen it too. But he didn't ask me anything and just smiled like that.

Damn, if you retaliate like that everything will get harder for me.

"I'm sorry, Brother Ren. But this black cat is not really a cat. I call him Master and he has a job to protect my body."

Master seemed like he wanted to say something but he remained silent, I lowered him down and turned my eyes to Ren's brother, this blonde man still smiling. Even though the smile he showed was different from before.

"So, like a guard, huh? Thank you for telling me. I appreciate that."

Brother Ren approached the Master and crouched down, extending his hand to gently stroke the Master's head.

"You have a cute and reliable looking pet. That's a bagu—Gugh thing!!"

Before Ren's brother could finish his words, Master had already jumped up and hit his chin while shouting.

"Let me revise the foolish boy's words, he is not my master but my prey. Don't deduce anything at will and just judge me, you fucking brat!"

Brother Ren fell on the ground and a gray cloud hole formed above him, from there came an angry servant girl.

"Basic pesky carrier cat! How dare you do such a disrespectful thing to my master!!"

"Huh?! Aren't you the seaweed-haired girl that ran away earlier?! Better take refuge behind the shadow of your master and stop being his guardian spirit! At least a weak spirit like you is suitable to get it!"

"What do you say, you fucking cat?!"

The two dealt each other blows and scratches, making the situation even more complicated. I couldn't stand yelling at them anymore.

"Stop, you two!!"

In the end, Brother Ren stopped the quarrel by ordering his Spirit to return and I held the Master's body.

We immediately headed to the inn where Ren stayed to discuss the continuation of the details of the work that was cut off at the cafe. It was quite a big place, we immediately headed for the circle-shaped table and Brother Ren took some drinking water and a snack.

Then he conjured two spirits behind him. The other spirit I've seen before but not with the other Spirit. Both have identical faces, only the hair color they have is different.

The two Spirits slightly lowered their heads at me, although the gazes they gave were still quite sharp. Moreover Spirit with that red hair, he was actually staring intently at us. If her name is not wrong, Ruria, she is the Spirit who fought with the previous Master and the Spirit that I have always met when I was with Ren's sister lately.

The spirit with purple hair named Lilia seemed to be calmer. No, because they are identical, of course, the personalities they have are the same. I don't have to put any hope in.

"I understand, I'll remember them."

After that, Ren explained the details of the work he received from an old family. The family had a forbidden warehouse that would curse anyone who opened it, I gulped my saliva upon hearing this.

One day, the family needed money and intended to sell the warehouse to a pawnbroker. The pawnbroker opened his warehouse and went inside to see the condition of the warehouse, but something strange happened to him afterwards.

The pawnbroker continues to have nightmares every night, the family in his house becomes sickly and worse, his son has just had an accident that took his life.

"Is it something that the Spirit does?"

I asked him to make sure it was just a coincidence. But unfortunately my gut feeling didn't agree to it, it was all confirmed by the answer Ren's brother gave.

"Unfortunately so. I asked them both to investigate and both said it was the Spirit."

From what Ren said, since the ancestors of the warehouse-owning family kept a lot of valuable items as storage in the warehouse, the Spirit began to live in there and refused to come out.

Brother Ren just smiled weakly in response to that.

"Geez, it is indeed something troublesome. They are always unreasonable and like existence by themselves. Just thinking about it makes me angry."

He said it again without hesitation near his guardian spirit. But those two Spirits did indeed seem to be completely unperturbed. Maybe it was something common between them.

If I were to say such a thing to Master, this cat would definitely eat me right then and there without the slightest hesitation.

"...."

But I still have some doubts about the story Ren told, thinking about how to tell it.

"Is that so? We won't know if we don't make sure it's. It is better to investigate it first before deciding on something like this."

"Haha~ answers that really describe you. As I expected, you really seem to be siding with the Spirits, right? Sometimes such an anti-mainstream route is not a bad thing."

"No, it's not like I'm siding with the spirits. What I want to say is to make sure it's in the first place before taking action."

"Ya~ ya~ I understand that well so no need to worry."

Brother Ren came up to me and rubbed my hair slowly. I could only watch him do that and was a little surprised.

"Aciel, you're a good boy, just a good boy. That's why you don't have to be ashamed of anything."

Finally my consciousness returned and my hand reflexively rebuffed him.

"Don't treat me like a kid, it's a little annoying."

"Ahahaha~ sorry~ sorry~ I got a little carried away."

This guy smiles and laughs quite often, it irritates me but I don't think Ren's brother is a bad person.

Although it takes time until I can really believe it.
