ACIEL'S DIARY : INDIGO

ACIEL'S DIARY : INDIGO
SHEET 2.4: AFFIRMATION

"Urghh—" I flinched, and instantly woke myself up from sleep.

Breathing gasps, with cold sweat soaking my body. I tried to sit down but my stomach somehow felt a little heavy and when I saw it, Master rolled up his black cat body there and fell asleep.

Isn't there someplace else? Why is it above my stomach?

I haven't seen that dream in a long time. After that what happened, huh? If not mistaken, I said a lot of cruel things to that Spirit sister that might have hurt her. In the end, I regretted it so much, but I didn't have time to apologize.

"Damn it, it's a really bad start."

The sunlight had already slightly revealed itself to the sky, carrying quite a lot of warmth in this dark and cold morning.

After taking off the blanket that wrapped around my body and getting rid of Master from above my stomach, then hurrying to take a shower immediately. Same morning and monotonous, as always.

After finishing breakfast and helping to clean the dirty dishes, I immediately prepared to leave for school.

The master who had been waiting in front of the Sena clan house in the form of a cat, immediately approached me and jumped on the shoulder.

While licking his front leg, Master started the conversation.

"Oh yeah, I didn't see that female fox again this morning. When did he finish his job?"

Female fox, of course what Master means is Ebi. He was not with us this morning.

"Don't I have answered him many times that he was traveling to search for the seal of his three remaining friends? Master, you've been asking the same question three times in the last three days since his departure."

"What's that? I don't mind the little things. How much time did he expect to find all of his friend's seals?"

"Because he already knew the location so the rest he just needed to find a sealing point, Ebi said he would need about seven days to complete it. Now it's the third day since he left, then there's about four more days left."

There are three locations. If everything was smooth, then it would only take about two days to go each seal point and one day the rest to return with his three friends.

But everything may not go smoothly just like that, surely there will be some obstacles that hinder. I hope he will tell me if something like that happens.

"In the end what did the fox want to do? I don't get it. After saving his comrade, what would they do? Take revenge on the humans who attacked them? Or hide until you can gather the strength to do so? Or an almost impossible choice, to forgive a human?"

"Master, why do you keep asking questions like that?"

"Aciel, a stupid and naive boy like you might not understand but the relationship between Spirits and humans is quite bad. Therefore I must always be vigilant, to eliminate anything near me and keep out any threats."

"The threat? What kind of threat will Ebi bring? Didn't he not intend to kill humans anymore?"

Hearing that astonished reply from me, Master only sighed and slapped my cheek using his front leg. It didn't hurt, it felt quite comfortable and soft.

"I know that the female fox had no intention of taking out the humans but what about her three comrades? If they still intend to eradicate humans, will the fox be able to convince his partner to forgive humans? And if he fails, what will the fox do? Would he follow his comrades or even oppose and fight them back?"

The master jumped on the road and accelerated his pace, then turned towards me. With his green eyes burning brightly, Master gave me a warning.

Ah, so it seems. Master really thought about it so far, I was amazed by how he was able to obtain his demands.

"Hows it? Do you understand a little how the situation will shift? You could be in danger at any moment."

"so. I understand if Master thinks things overboard."

I walked past Master who widened both his eyeballs.

"Bas with the fucking kid, I've been kind enough to explain and you've responded that light. Don't expect you can ask me for help if something happens to you later."

Master jumped again on my shoulder and settled down.

"If the Master did that, wouldn't the Master himself be troubled? You won't be able to eat my body if I get killed. Moreover, the cost of riding on my shoulder is quite expensive, I will consider it a debt at this time and Master can repay it by helping me."

The master only responded to the joke by snorting softly.

"No use, how could I possibly follow that shit. If you want me to help you, then give me a nice salty snack."

"Aahaha! Is that so? Well, it's a pity~"

Even so, as Master told me, it seems like I am still naive and stupid. After seeing the dreamy look from Ebi earlier, I understand enough that it can be cruel what a human being is to fulfill his purpose.

Similarly, the Spirits who were affected by the cruelty, they would definitely repay him by several times more. For that I must stick Master's warning and remember it well deep within my heart.

There can be no slackness in the least.

With that point on me, I also strengthened my way to school.

But halfway through I began to realize that people were looking strangely at me and as I began to wonder about it. It turned out that the cause was a cat hanging on my back.

At first I thought that the current form of Master was invisible to others but it seems that High Level Spirits have the privilege of maintaining a physical form for a very long time. And it made even people who did not have Spirit abilities able to see it clearly.

Why didn't this Spirit tell me such an important thing earlier? This way I look like a weird kid carrying a cat on his shoulder.

Damn, this is so embarrassing!!

"Oh yes, Aciel. I want to talk to you about something after you finish this school called activity. I was supposed to talk about it three days ago but I forgot about it."

"Talking about something after school? I could be anyway. But there's something important what's happening? You can tell me now, right? If that's really important."

"No, I'll talk about it once you've completed all the activities today. You don't mind, do you?"

"No, there's no problem with that. What's this about?"

"A little story about your mother. At least as a descendant, you should know about this. Because this will probably have a considerable influence on your life after this."
