ACIEL'S DIARY : INDIGO

ACIEL'S DIARY : INDIGO
SHEET 3.9: TRAILING

The master whipped his tail which wrapped around Beida on the ground and jumped, crossing the sky along the footing of the black clouds with his greenish complexion. Our goal was to follow the giant white bear until he got his honey and snatch everything from it without leaving anything behind.

But there are minor glitches, starting with the Master discovering the oddities.

"Aciel, I feel the smell of the Spirit near here. Look in the back, did you find anything?"

"Attent."

Following Master's instructions, I checked the back, but found nothing. There was only an empty sky with a few flying birds and a cluster of clouds.

But Master's smell would not be wrong, I checked the land but found nothing, only tall trees covered with leaves. There is no sign of the Spirit.

"Whether the sky or the land does not exist, is it possible that the Spirit has the ability to be see-through and make it invisible using the naked eye?"

"No, there is no such ability. That spirit is nowhere, huh? Although the smell it gives off is quite stinging. This sucks, he can attack from anywhere. Aciel, stay alert and watch all directions, don't let your guard down. Ask that grasshopper to help you too."

"I understand."

Master moved his tail wrapped around Beida and brought it closer to my place, I immediately explained the situation and handed the rear guard over to him. The front and side are my parts.

Fwishh—!!

The master jumped on every footing the clouds made with his feet and shot out in a steady speed. According to him, the distance between us and the white bear was about two kilometers. The bear was completely unaware of our existence.

To be honest I didn't really believe that much and thought that the bear was actually aware of us following it and setting up a lot of traps on the path that it was going to take but Master just laughed at all my opinions.

"He is the Spirit type who can only focus on one thing. When he is too focused on doing something, he forgets everything else. It was possible to happen because the focus he put on what he was doing was really high and made him not care about anything else."

"Oh, I don't know if the Spirits have such a category."

"If in the human world, this is the same as the category of people who like to talk and those who do not like to talk. The Spirits also had their own will, it was already a natural thing if there were all sorts of them out there. Aciel, have you ever seen any of these spirits abroad?"

"Hm? No, I never went abroad so I never saw them all either. Are the spirits that exist abroad also different?"

"Well, it'll be more interesting if you see it for yourself. That's why it wouldn't be interesting if I just told you everything, right? Experience and feel everything with your skin. In the end experience is the best teacher."

"Master, you always do. Ending the conversation in the middle and hanging, it made me even more curious about it, you know?"

"Is that so? Well, you have no choice but to get used to it quickly. Putting that aside, it looks like the bear will find something, we'll get a little closer."

The master slightly accelerated his pace several times and stopped on a large tree, watching the cave in the distance with a hole that had a diameter of about twenty meters.

The cave was large but when compared to the size of the bear, it was still too small. He took another form to go inside, huh? But it would be bad if we just waited here.

"Master, aren't we going to get close? There won't be any sight here if the bear enters the cave. What if he finds the honeycomb and eats it in there?"

"Calm down, I'm focusing my hearing. Although it was only a little, I could still hear some of his voice. If you keep yelling like that, I'll shut your mouth."

A while passed, the Master still continued to move his ears until he suddenly jumped several times backwards. Before I could ask what happened, Master raised his voice.

"There's nothing in that cave, he'll be out soon."

"Ah, yes. I-i understand. But didn't the Master jump too far? If this is how we can only rely on Master's hearing."

"Huh? Why why anyway? Do you have any protests with that?"

"No, it's just not too comfortable when I can't see anything like this. Is there nothing else I can do, huh? Master, do I need any help?"

"I'd be very helpful if you could close the mulu ... The bear came out. He'll go to the next location. It seems like he did not bear fruit to his third form, did anything happen? This makes it a little hard to track."

"Maybe the bear was already aware that Master was following him and trying to escape as quickly as possible?"

"No, there was no sign of any change in his voice and breathing. Maybe he's just lazy to change his form again."

We continued our pursuit of the white bear and watched him as he visited several places. The master further shortened the distance of his pursuit as time went on, this was to measure the bear's response.

For the next place after visiting the cave is the slope of an inactive mountain, the bear entered it and came out without bringing anything after checking for a few minutes.

After finishing with the slopes of several mountains and finding nothing, the bear continued its search for a lake. He dived into the lake and just came out.

Looking at all the locations where he was looking for honey it really confused me. About—

"—What kind of search pattern does the bear do? He is seen only searching carelessly in places where it is impossible to keep a beehive. I mean, how could you possibly find it in a lake, right?"

"Don't use logic when you're talking about spirits, from the very beginning of our own existence and the fact that you can see it is something that doesn't make sense to most humans. It's the same thing with that beehive."

"Is that so? I doubt that enough. At least that beehive should be in a reasonable place, and also does Master not know?"

"No, I've never followed stupid things like this. Try asking the back behind it, he might be able to answer it."

The master brought the ekormya closer once more, bringing Beida who was still wrapped there.

"Beida, I want to ask you something. Where were the eight bees before? It's all in a reasonable place, right?"

"Eh? Yes, everything is in a pretty normal place. There's something about that."

Some sparks of relief and pleasure floated on me after hearing it, but all of it was immediately annihilated with the words Beida gave next.

"The first nest was found in a crack in the mountainside, the second nest was found in an old well, the third nest was found in a rushing stream, the fourth nest was found in the deepest part of a cave, the third nest was found, the fifth nest was found in a gap of a giant tree trunk. The other four are also found in similar places. Everything's a normal place."

....

Seriously? Isn't the location too random?
