ACIEL'S DIARY : INDIGO

ACIEL'S DIARY : INDIGO
SHEET 2.1: A LITTLE OVERVIEW OF THE PAST

Let's slightly rewind the tempo, this is the story by the time I'm seven. The family that supported me this time was not Marga Sena, but a family that became another relative of my father.

As I recall, I only stayed with them for about three months.

An ordinary family consisting of a father, a mother and a daughter. Among the three, I became the only stranger who suddenly entered their lives.

Nevertheless, the three of them welcomed my arrival warmly, along with a smile. But I, who was still very vulnerable to the interference of the Spirits around me, frightened the three of them and as time went on, the distance between us grew.

It's always like that.

All the families who accepted me all along were very nice people, but I actually made them all afraid of the strange behavior that I always did.

But the thing is, my seven-year-old self at the time didn't think about it that far. After realizing that the atmosphere of the house was damaged by my actions, in the end I chose to spend more time outside, in a garden.

I started to hate going home, and spending more time in a park near the elementary school I went to, watching kids my age play and have fun.

The hue of the color in the sky changed, followed by the ambient temperature that slowly began to increase. By the time the clock on the wall pointed at exactly 10.00, a bell signifying the time home echoed throughout parts of elementary school.

All the children in the classroom immediately stiffened, focusing their gaze on the teacher's mother. I was one of them too. The teacher mother who realized that let out an awkward smile and patted both of her hands.

"All right!! Since the school hours are over for today, you can pack your things and put them in a bag!! After this the mother will hold a sobriety contest, the noiseless child can leave the classroom first with two sweets!!"

Despite the enthusiasm in the eyes of all the children, not a single shout of joy came out. Everyone immediately packed their things and put them in their respective bags, then sat quietly and neatly.

The teacher looked at us one by one and finally pointed at one of the children. His finger led to the place where I was sitting.

"Son Aciel!! You're the first, come here!!" said the teacher happily.

Contrary to that, I felt a deep disappointment.

I've been through this a few times and every time something like that happens, the kids around me focus their eyes on me and click their tongues.

"Once again the weird kid gets picked, huh?"

"That kid sucks, why is he always chosen to be the first one home? Is the teacher really favoritism?"

"Isn't it because he's always quiet in class? But I used to see him yelling in an empty place anyway, that weird kid always doing it behind a building near a garbage dump."

"He was always silent and lowered his gaze was also scary, I didn't want to play with him and be weird as well."

"Yes, my mom and dad also forbade me to play with him. The child is often injured for less obvious reasons."

One by one voices popped up as I walked to the front of the classroom, making the atmosphere in the classroom a little noisy and the teacher clapped his hands once again, to calm the atmosphere.

"Hayo~ hayo~ if you whisper such whispers, ma'am guru will not return you lo~ try to stay calm~"

I walked over and experienced it, and then the guy gave me two candies. But the teacher didn't let go of my hand after that made me look up and this guy, with an innocent smile on his face, gave me advice.

"Son Aciel, maybe you can talk more actively with other children and not keep quiet in class. Your friends are all good kids, they'll want to play if you ask them."

The teacher raised a bangs that slightly covered my eyes, making me have to look him in the eye directly. There was not the slightest bit of bad feeling that the teacher directed at me, he really just wanted me to be able to blend in in the classroom.

But something like that is too late. Moreover, the teacher was a little slow in understanding the atmosphere in this classroom. The atmosphere where I could make a friend was no longer there.

Because it—

"Don't interfere in my business, Grandma peyot. I don't need your attention."

"Eh?"

The teacher froze with her expression unchanged. Before this person could digest my words, I immediately walked out of the classroom and ate all the candy at once.

"I felt bad about doing it to the teacher, but I knew that his true intentions were for my own good. But if I don't say it clearly, the teacher will instead do the unnecessary and get me into other trouble."

It's really hard.

Really, I wouldn't have experienced any of this if I wasn't a weird kid. Anyway, why can't others see it, even though I can see it so clearly?

Seeing the Spirits was as clear as seeing humans and other animals, I could also touch them, and vice versa.

So I myself would not be able to ignore their existence even though I wanted to. The only thing I can do is respond to them.

On the other hand, those Spirits also never stopped to bother me. What am I supposed to do with all this? Do I have to be involved in something like this for the rest of my life?

Damnit. I also want to make friends, play and have fun. But everything really stayed away from me, looking at me with scary eyes and calling me weird.

"It's really exhausting ..."

Quickly, I walked out of the school, past the crowd of parents waiting for their son at the front gate.

Of course, no one will pick me up.

"Longly going home also feels troublesome, maybe I will stop by some places and wait until afternoon. It would definitely help auntie not to bother making lunch for me. Emma also shouldn't protest if I take her parents away from her."

Yep, staying away is the best option.

I wouldn't have hurt anyone if there wasn't anyone near me.

But where am I supposed to go, huh?

It's still ten in the morning so there's still plenty of time until later in the afternoon. Better check the places one by one.

"Well, with this let's start the adventure of Aciel!!"

I raised my hand and shouted, surely no one will reply to that.

Or so I thought—

Suddenly, something clasped my right hand.

"I heard that there are little human children who can see the Spirit near here. That's why I'm a little figuring it out and some Spirit gives information if the boy has a unique scent."

"Eh?" unconsciously, I looked in the other direction. Which is a fatal mistake.

"It's true, huh? Boy, you look good."

The spirit resembled an octopus, with eyes and mouth on its head, then black smoke surrounded its gray body. The spirit held one of my hands with its tentacles.

"Don't bother me!!" I turned my hand, making the tentacles come off.

Then without the slightest preparation, I immediately ran away as fast as I could.
