ACIEL'S DIARY : INDIGO
CHAPTER 2.7: THE FROUYA SOCIETY

"A return request, huh? I-i understand. We didn't plan to get help for free."

Rune nodded slowly, while pulling her mustache and thinking of something. Other spirits do the same and mutter every idea they think.

Wasa seemed to get an idea, she whispered it to Rune's ears, and the raccoon nodded his head several times while listening with a serious expression.

After the two agreed to it, Rune spoke as a representative.

"How about we offer high quality Arak from one of our forest springs that only appear once a year? Due to its limited capacity, we can only get five cups per year but I guarantee you will not regret drinking it."

High quality wine, huh? That's a good offer if a heavy drunk like Master is here. But for those of me who are still children and cannot drink it, it would be best if they offered Cola.

"No, I don't want high quality Arak at the moment. Is there anything else?"

The Spirits thought once more and the Runes were getting the idea first this time.

"Then what about the expulsion paper? I have a few sheets and it's powerful enough to drive out the low-level Spirits that bother you."

"Paper of the expulsion of the Spirit?"

Hohm ... I wanted to ask why Spirits like them could have something that could harm themselves but it was better to undo it. It is basically like a knife or a fire.

It is dangerous but it will provide many advantages if we can use it. Whatever it is, this expulsion paper is enough to make me waver, because my daily life is getting enough interference from the Spirit.

But I already have a Master now, the value in my eyes is not very high at the moment. Moreover, I have already decided what I want.

"No, I'm sorry but I'll reject that as well. Can you offer anything else?"

A bit of confusion filled the Spirits that were in front of me. Rune and Wasa exchanged glances for a moment, then the leader of the society shook the head of his raccoon.

"It's a pity but it's just those two offers that I think have enough value to redeem. If you refuse, can I ask you what you want in exchange for the help you'll provide?"

This is it, I've been waiting for him. Then there's no need to hesitate.

"Create a contract with me, where we will take a relationship between master and subordinate. I will be the master and you will be my subordinates. With that I'll have a good reason to give you guys some help, how?"

A moment I said that, a hint of commotion broke out on the Spirit line behind Rune and Wasa. The pigeons immediately calmed them down quickly and on the other hand, Rune replied to me.

"A Contract, huh? To be honest this is quite worrying, especially we have to make a master and subordinate relationship with you. Before that, can you prove that you will not treat us arbitrarily later? My answer will depend on how you respond to this question."

There was no resistance from what Rune said, all the Spirits agreed to it.

Most of them were indeed low-tier Spirits, but for the sum alone were quite a lot. Surely it would help if the moment where I needed their help came.

"First, I want you to remember this one thing. Although I said that the relationship between us is master and subordinate, what I really want is just a relationship where we can help each other."

I stood up and spread my arms, then strengthened my voice. I'll make sure they hear it clearly.

"As at this moment, where you are in trouble, I will give you my hand. And when I'm in trouble, I want you to help me. Very simple, right? I want it to be a form of a contract so that this relationship can last a long time. Surely you will not try to renege on the promise you made yourself, right?"

In closing, I gave one loud pat with a smile. Surely it was a pretty obvious challenge, I believe these Spirits were smart enough to realize it.

All of them focused their gaze towards me, a calculating gaze that described whether I was a trustworthy figure or not. After that some small murmurs were created in the ranks of the Spirits.

The rune that was just silent and closed her eyes, coughed to silence the noise and pulled her whiskers as she looked towards me.

I nodded slowly and sat back down.

"Of course, you can do it."

The Spirits took a little distance to talk about it and five minutes passed quickly, they returned to their respective positions.

Rune as their representative, raised his voice.

"Relationship to help each other. When one side has a difficulty, the other side must be there to carry his back. The relationship with lord Aciel as its leader, we with a total of seventeen Spirits, will receive it."

"Is that so? Then I, Aciel Luciel, will make sure to keep all the words I give you. There won't be a single moment where you'll protest me."

I extended a hand, with Rune replying to him.

"Once we. There won't be a single moment where you'll be disappointed with this contract, it's a certainty that we hold."

A reddish-blue light shone on the gap between us, which then split apart and turned into particles.

With this, the contract is completed.

"All right!! since the contract is done, now all that is left is—"

"—Help us in the matter of that Spirit exterminator, huh?"

Before I could finish the sentence, Rune cut it with the spirit behind it.

Of course, I shook my head.

"That's what we're going to do after this but it's not that. Before we had to give a name to the gathering of the seventeen Spirits under my name. Have you thought of his name? I'll give it to him if it's not there."

"A name for this society, is that a very important thing to decide? We can keep it like this."

"No, giving a name will bring out a strong sense of unity. Because that's why before I go to solve your problem of the exterminator of the Spirit, we have to decide the name of this society first."

Some doubts arose from the look on the face of every Spirit before me. Predictable reaction, then I'll give you his name.

"Rune. It's about the high-quality Arak that the forest you live in. Does the wine have a name?"

Run put on a more confused look. Maybe because I suddenly changed the topic from the name of the society to the name of arak.

"uh? Ah, ja. His name is Frouya, a name that means frothy. That's because the drink itself has a lot of soft foam in it and makes the drink very comfortable to drink."

"Frouya, huh? What a good name. Then the name of the current gathering of seventeen Spirits is Frouya Society!! All of you, please help from now on!!"

"Oui—!!!'

And so, Frouya's society was formed.

Together with the cheers of the many spirits who lifted my body and threw it up, then of course also a happy smile on my face, if I can take advantage of this opportunity to ease the path of my life as an Indigo who can see the Spirits.

At the very least, there will be some Spirits that will stop to bother me from this moment on.
