ACIEL'S DIARY : INDIGO

ACIEL'S DIARY : INDIGO
SECTION 1.1: RESIDENCE

"Aciel!! Getup!! It's morning!!"

The sound of an old woman's screams emanated, followed by a powerful thud that shook the door of the warehouse. I immediately ran over the albino rat and opened the door of the warehouse quickly.

The light from the rising sun entered my view, it felt dazzling because my eyes were used to the fairly dark warehouse environment.

I blinked a few times to get used to it and saw a skinny woman standing right in front of me.

With a well-built skinny body that was layered in a black suit and white shirt, it had a frowny face like a fox with its sharp eyes, chain glasses and an aura of intimidation surrounding it.

The old woman in front of me is named Anggrida Sena, she is my aunt.

I used to call her Aunt An.

If not wrong for his age this year, 42 years? I don't remember it too much.

"Aciel, it's six o'clock. When do you want to sleep?! Quickly clean your bed and cook breakfast! Brian and your uncle are starving, you know?! We've let you stay here so make sure to pay it well!"

As always, there is no morning without a single scolding entering the ear.

Right now I live in my uncle's house with his wife and son, of course I don't really live with them because I occupy the barn behind the house.

Since I only live a family without a family, from childhood I have lived with my father's relatives and moved house several times every year.

It made me feel like a Dodge ball where I was thrown from one hand to the other and the affected one would hold me for quite some time. It was a little heavy at first but I'm used to it.

And for both of my parents, unfortunately I can't remember anything about either.

I have also asked several times regarding their relics to the relatives but all I got was another scolding.

At least I'm grateful enough that the relatives who accepted me have let me live in their barn or attic, this is much better than living in an orphanage or roadside.

And so that I would not be more burdensome to those who were sheltering me, I offered to help with everything such as cleaning, cooking, mowing the lawn, shopping and more.

Instead I'll get a school uniform and some food every day.

That's enough for me, at least for now.

"I'm sorry aunt, I'll be ready soon and cooking breakfast." Reply with a smile.

"Then hurry up!! Everyone's waiting!! You've been living here for half a year so be sure to remember all the rules!! Don't get bad again!!"

"Good! I'll be in the kitchen soon after this!"

Leaving behind a deep sigh at each step, Aunt An finally left. I made sure that the person had entered the house, then closed the door of the warehouse slowly afterwards.

After all, facing a situation like this many times made me quite sensitive about how to get through it. You just need to shut up and nod with a smile, then everything will pass immediately without leaving any problems.

And also, it was common for the fox Aunt to nag in the morning. After all this person was already four heads old, maybe his blood was easy to rise when he was that age.

But it was a fact that I woke up a little later today, when I usually finished all the preparations at half six in the morning.

Is it because I didn't have dinner last night? Or an uncomfortable sleep due to the slightly cold shed temperature? I also had the same nightmare for two to three days.

No, I'm used to all that, except the nightmares. Whatisthis? My body feels weird too. It felt like something was wrapping my skin with an invisible cloth.

This is the sensation I will feel when there is a pair of eyes watching me. But there's no other spirit in this warehouse other than Jerry.

Is it just my feeling, huh?

"Whatever it is, I have to prepare breakfast immediately and then get ready for school! It would be bad if I made a mistake again!!"

I immediately took off my clothes and ran towards the bathroom of the barn, only spending five minutes for a teenage man like me to clean up in the morning.

Sena Family.

It was the surname of a relative who gave me a place to stay at this time. I've been living with all three for about six months, from September last year to February this year.

At least they'll let me stay here until I graduate Junior High in April.

It also made me quite happy that they were the only relatives who let me stay for more than six months.

With the ration of eating twice a day, living in the warehouse behind the house and the use of other facilities, this was the first time I had gotten this much attention.

As the opening of the day, I prepared breakfast for a three-person portion. Then sit down to eat at the same table as the Sena Family.

"Geez, why is Aciel eating with us again this time? Didn't I say last night that I didn't want to eat at a table with this kid because of his smell? She lives in a filthy warehouse so the scent also enters her body!"

Said a fat boy in uniform sitting next to me, holding his nose and revealing an excessively nauseous expression. Brian Sena is the son of Uncle Daniel and Aunt An.

It has a round body with a folded neck, cheeks bulging like a squirrel with its belly almost through the gap of its uniform, and short legs and arms.

From what I understand, both of his parents thought Brian had a cute little round body that was like a rabbit but in my eyes this kid just looked like a lump of pork with his breath puffing.

I don't know where this cruel judgment came from. Although I feel very grateful to Aunt An and Uncle Daniel but I do not feel that way from Brian.

Is it possible because he didn't contribute anything to me and just insulted me unilaterally?

Yeah, maybe so. Not that I was envious of his fat body whereas I only had a relatively thin body.

Shit, motherfucker.

As I sped up the mouthful of rice and completely ignored the words of the pig beside me, Aunt An replied.

"Oh my goodness, Brian. However, Aciel had helped prepare breakfast so he had to eat. It would be troublesome if he even fainted at school, right?"

Auntie did say that but this guy last night didn't let me touch dinner. So that means he thinks it doesn't matter if I pass out in the barn? Even I feel a little hurt by that.

"But not having to eat at one table with us either, right?! Give him one or two slices of bread and throw them in front of the barn door and he'll eat them himself later! He also stole some bread last night so he must have had breakfast too this morning! No need to feed him!!" Brian kicked the table, making the soup on his plate scattered on the surface of the table.

What are you saying, pig? Do you think I'm a guard dog or something? And the one who stole the bread was not me, but the Rat Spirit!! Then the stolen bread was only one, not several!!

I really wanted to beat him up but he's still Aunt An's and Uncle Daniel's son. I have to hold back from keeping my place in this house for a while.

The atmosphere on the dining table slightly heated up and the tension finally began to reach its peak, only one push remained until an outburst of emotion filled this room. Dan—

—Brakk!!

As I was about to lift my butt from the chair to escape, the sound of a punch hit the table hard enough to throw all the plates and glasses on it.

In just a moment the dining table was already completely messy.

It also made my heart ache a little to see the food I made wholeheartedly disposed of in such a vile manner. But looking at the hands of the person who did it made me unable to issue any protest.

The culprit of course, Uncle Daniel.

Among the confusion and silence that surrounded the table, Uncle Daniel's voice was clear.

"Why are you so noisy at breakfast?"

In the end things immediately calmed down with that one creepy sentence and regardless of anything, I set off at a slow pace towards school.

I used to walk through school for fifteen minutes, different from the pig Brian delivered by his mother in a car.
