ACIEL'S DIARY : INDIGO

ACIEL'S DIARY : INDIGO
SHEET 4.2: LIGHT TALK

It's been three days since I helped Beida to do a beehive search. Since then, nothing strange has happened.

Just leave an ordinary day where there are some Spirits coming at me to threaten or disturb but they are all removed easily by the Master.

This morning I filled it up by completing some weekly maintenance of the warehouse and helping Auntie An finish cooking the breakfast menu. Well, mostly I cook it anyway.

Then catch up with breakfast, along with some little innuendos that are nothing to worry about. And then we went to school after that. Master followed me during the journey and climbed on my shoulder.

I had asked him to come down from my shoulder but Master just ignored him, it made me get some gazes from the people around me.

It's mortifying.

"Master, where are you going? Can't you go alone without following me? It's a little embarrassing when those people see me. At least you shouldn't get on my shoulder, right? Walk beside me."

"Huh? Why should you be ashamed? I am a guard, it is clear I am by your side, what if there is a Spirit eating your body when I am not around? Remember this, your body is mine."

It's always like that, can't you find another reason? But true as well, it was something I agreed with Master.

Honestly, I'm pretty grateful this cat didn't follow me all the way to school.

It made me have to beg him and convince him that the school is a safe place and there are many people in it so the Spirits will not attack.

"My body belongs to the Master, huh? It will be like that when I lose my life. But as long as I'm alive, this body is mine so I want Master not to do such indiscriminate cultivation."

"Well, who cares about a little thing like that, right? In the end, the age of man is not too long. In fifty years they'll be dead, you're the same."

Dead, huh? I still can't imagine something like that happening to me. At least I'm still sure if I'm going to live in the next ten years, what kind of confidence is this?

Ten years down the line, when I was twenty-four.

"About what happened to me when I reached that age, huh? Am I still going to jump into each other's relatives' houses and trouble them all? That sounds scary."

At least I would have gotten a job by the time I reached that age and rented a house or apartment myself. Living without bothering others, only with myself and free to do anything.

Free to eat anything and free to go anywhere. Freedom, huh? I don't have anything like that right now.

I don't know why that sounds so beautiful.

Everything I do at this point always has a limit that should not be crossed. When I get through it, can I be fat like Brian, huh? I'll be looking forward to it.

"Hm? Aciel, what are you muttering with that stupid face? Are you mocking me?"

"Ah? Whahuh? Master, did you say anything?"

The sudden interruption that Master had made me a little surprised, subconsciously reversing the question he was giving.

And of course, that pisses him off.

"I asked you what did you mutter with that stupid face?

"Ah, that's nothing. Just something that may or may not happen."

I coughed softly a few times, to shift the topic.

"Remove that, I also have a question for you, it's about Master's goal after driving me to school. Is the Master going to visit Frouya's society? If yes I want to leave a message unt— Ughff!!"

Before I could finish that sentence, Master covered my mouth with his tail. This cat seems to like doing it quite a bit.

"Don't conclude. First of all, I'm not taking you to school but keeping your body safe. Do you understand that?"

"Secondly, I don't plan to visit your small gathering right now so I won't receive the letter. I'm going to visit Hjorn's place, it's about an invitation to his place to celebrate my freedom. You remember that, right?"

Oh, about the invitation that Master got in the forest from that white bear, huh? So he still hasn't done it, but it's been three days.

Well, maybe for a high-level Spirit time perception like them three days was the same as three minutes so there was no particular difference.

I nodded three times and finally Master removed his tail from my mouth.

"If Master is planning to visit Hjorn's house, does that mean Master will be coming home tonight? You guys are gonna get drunk, right?"

"Yes, so I won't be able to take care of your body when I get home. Therefore be sure to go straight home and do not do anything unnecessary like getting involved with the Spirits when I am not around. Do you get it? Go straight home and avoid all the spirits you meet."

"I know that so you don't have to repeat it many times. My ears started to hurt when I heard them."

"Basin' a fucking stupid boy. I repeat it because I know if you still don't understand ... Aciel, stop for a second. Look over there."

"Huh? A-What's up?"

Suddenly the voice and aura around the Master became a little heavy, signaling that the atmosphere became serious and made me nervous.

As I looked at the direction that Master was looking at, what was there was—

"There is a Bakpao store with high quality meat there. Before you get to school, let's stop by and buy some. I'll make it a souvenir for that bear as well."

So that's it, huh?

Just because I was nervous before, it made me feel stupid.

"Master, haven't I told you this before? My money is up because we bought a lot of Bakpao for Master to eat last night. No money until I go to the ATM and pick it up."

"Then get it right now before you go to school. Let's go to the ATM or something and buy it right away. I'll take you so it'll be quick."

"No, that's not possible. There are no ATMs in the mountains like this. The only option is to wait for Uncle Daniel to drop off later after school."

"Huh? What about the Bakpaonya?"

"Patience until tonight."

"Don't joke! Let's buy it now. Pawn clothes or bags that you brought to get some bakpao."

"Stop saying something that doesn't make sense like that. I'm gonna be late."

Because of the little rebel that Master did, it took me the time I needed to get to school five minutes longer. The cat left immediately in annoyance.

I should be the one who's upset here for having to listen to that tantrum. Master is a little difficult to overcome.

Well, the cat was reliable when I was in trouble so I didn't have much to worry about it anyway. It's not a big deal anyway.

"Alright, rebuild the spirit for today."

With that, I entered the school gate.

At first I thought that today would be a common day as usual without anything special happening but it seems that I was wrong.

After the break bell rang during the day, the homeroom teacher came towards my class with a shocking announcement on his hand.
