After entering the residence of the Ancient Clan of Xue, Xue Jian brought Shu En to tour the residence and look at the people who were exposed to the Ice Demon Poison.

“This is my grandson and his sister Yaya. His name was Xue Fen, he had been like this for these few days.” Xue Jian told with a wistful expression.

Shu En closed his eyes and listened to Xue Fen's weak heartbeat. By sharpening his sense of hearing Shu En could tell the Ice Demon Poison that Xue Fen had on him could easily destroy without the Ice Demon Poison Potion.

However Shu En did not immediately tell this because he wanted to negotiate with Xue Jian. The old geezer's greatest weakness was most likely that Xue Fen was a man and would one day definitely assume the responsibility of being the Patriarch of the Ancient Clan of Xue.

“Can I check on Grandpa Xue?” Shu En asked politely and made Xue Jian frown.

“Grandfather Xue? I mean I can, please. I mean to bring you here because I wish you could heal Fen.” Xue Jian also told him of his intention to take Shu En to the residence of the Ancient Clan of Xue.

“Grandfather can call me En. Hopefully I can heal Brother Fen.” Shu En responded politely.

‘This boy! Does he think I'm willing to just give Yaya to you! I'm just making sure you're the same or not as the other guys out there!’ Xue Jian nodded and smiled sinisterly at Shu En.

Meanwhile Shu En ignored Xue Jian and held onto Xue Fen's wrists, neck and forehead. A while later Shu En pretended to wipe his forehead even though there was absolutely no sweat there.

“Fiiuuh... I thought I should kill the man who poisoned Brother Fen! It was the most amazing way to settle my grudge and earn your trust Grandpa Xue!” Suddenly Shu En's expression was no longer polite there and showed a cold, domineering figure.

“What do you mean by Ender?” Unknowingly Xue Jian called Shu En thus and made Shu En chuckle.

“I mispronounced!” xue Jian said.

“I know you tested me, Grandpa Xue. I don't care about any of that myself. I came here to talk about the future of the Ancient Clan of Xue and not matchmaking.” Shu En stared firmly at Xue Jian before pointing out the tip of the five fingers on his right hand that were frozen solid.

“I can cure everyone who was exposed to the Ice Demon Poison with these five fingers of mine.”

Hearing that Xue Jian was as if he did not believe and doubted Shu En. This made Shu En take advantage of the situation and eventually made an attractive offer.

“You doubt myself Grandpa Xue? What if I make it? What are you gonna do?” ask Shu En.

“If you manage to cure my grandson and everyone who was exposed to the Ice Demon Poison here, I will accept with your invitation that.” Xue Jian gave an answer.

“Alright, we agree.”

Shu En suddenly released such a huge chill and made Xue Jian keep his distance instinctively. Xue Jian observed how Shu En healed Xue Fen, but the young man did nothing and just stood by the bed where Xue Fen was lying.

“What rancid boy are you doing?!” Xue Jian let go of the killing intent as Shu En froze all of Xue Fen's body except his head.

“Stop there!” Shu En also froze Xue Jian's body while reminding him not to do anything stupid.

“It turns out you showed your true intentions!” Xue Jian thought negatively and directly tried to attack Shu En.

“Shut! Wait about an hour until the ice melts! If both eyes do not open, I will gladly tear my stomach with a sword here!” Shu En made a gamble because he realized Xue Jian was very affectionate towards his two grandchildren.

“No need to tear your belly because I'll cut your neck!” Xue Jian was already standing near Shu En with two ice swords that were necked after breaking free.

“Do as you like..” Shu En could only sigh deeply.

Then the two chatted about the life of the cultivators in the Ancient Clan of Xue because Shu En asked that. Long enough to fill the time Xue Jian told him before the time had finally passed and the waiting seconds had finally arrived.

The ice that froze in Xue Fen's body slowly but surely melted into black water with a very pungent smell.

“What does this mean Ender?!” xue Jian said.

“You called me En. I feel like I got my blessing-”

“Quick say!” Xue Jian directly aimed the sword at Shu En's neck.

With both hands raised Shu En sighed because Xue Jian was unaware that everything he did to threaten was useless. So far Shu En had only pretended to be a threatened prisoner when in fact he could move easily even if he wanted to he could kill Xue Jian back then for threatening him.

“It was the Ice Demon Poison. See his mouth open, he will talk,” Shu En said with a calm expression and did not feel intimidated.

Xue Jian turned his gaze towards Xue Fen and found the lips of his beloved grandson moving.

“Ka... Ka...kek..” The first thing Xue Fen saw was the shadow of Xue Jian so he tried to summon his grandfather.

For Xue Fen who was exposed to the Ice Demon Poison, his life for these few days was extremely heavy. Xue Fen felt that he was in a dream world where he was constantly being tortured and killed repeatedly. But now he has woken up from that nightmare thanks to the help of Shu En who uses the Ice Phoenix ability.

“Fen.” xue Jian shouted happily as he saw Xue Fen open his eyes and call out to him.

Seeing that Shu En clicked his tongue and turned his head back to see Xue Xiaoya who saw Xue Fen waking up with teary eyes.

“Adik Fen!” Xue Xiaoya also shed all her feelings and hugged Xue Fen's body very tightly thinking that her sister was going to die.

‘Now what should I do? Waiting outside or remaining a living statue like this?’ Shu En sat down while sighing lightly over and over again.

Suddenly Xue Jian who no longer let out a killing intent invited himself to join.

“Enter, come here, you have healed Fen.”

“Hah?” Shu En frowned in disbelief, “You should have tried to kill me and now you're asking me to cuddle up?”

“I'll wait outside.” Then Shu En walked out while scratching his non-itchy head.

Knowing Shu En was the one who healed Xue Fen the instant Xue Xiaoya became guilty of having had time to berate Shu En behind the young man.

‘I thought he was a bad person but it seems like he is just a mysterious person and I cannot expect.’ Xue Xiaoya nodded and smiled with relief as she hugged her sister Xue Fen's body.
