ARC 1 - Fall to Rise

Shu En blinked a few times after entering the teleportation portal. Whether the light is too bright or the influence of his technique, Shu En cannot see anything and upon awakening he finds himself around the forest in the new Imperial Capital of Zhang Jiehan.

Right now Shu En realized that he was in the southern region of the Zhang Empire which was the power of the Jie noble family. Seeing the glitter and splendor of the Jiehan Capital made Shu En clench his hands.

All those sacrifices took away the important people in his life six years ago. Shu En also immediately released a large amount of body aura towards the Jiehan Capital to detect the presence of cultivators.

But after he released his body aura, Shu En realized Xing Rou's words. All of this made Shu En return to being calm as he almost lost control of himself.

“I've heard from Baihu if now Jie Hung killed the previous Jie family head for all this!” Shu En smiled coldly as he said that.

Shu En was wearing a black demon mask. With a step filled with ambition, Shu En also set foot in the Jiehan Capital. There Shu En completely dispels his existence and can trick the guards.

The first thing Shu En did was to look for the tallest building and pay attention to its surroundings from up there. Life in the Jiehan Capital can be said to be prosperous, but Shu En knows that residents in other regions are not this prosperous.

From the information Baihu had brought, Shu En learned that Hong Zi Ran was locked up in the residence of Noble Jie. That special residence was the resting place of three cultivators from the Black Scorpion.

As for the next few days Jie Hung has been carrying out his plans for several years with great maturity. It was only a matter of time until Zhang Xue came to him as some of his favorite people were back as hostages.

Because he was already in Jiehan Capital, Shu En also intended to finish off Jie Hung or people who had problems with him.

As Shu En sharpened his eyes and surveyed the area around the building that looked like an inn, he found a commotion there.

Shu En sees a woman with an injured body trying to escape. Not far from the wounded woman was seen the woman who tried to stop the siege.

Shu En turned his eyes away and did not show his concern, but as he sharpened his sense of hearing Shu En was a little surprised when he heard their conversation down there.

Finally Shu En rushed to observe the situation and ascertain the truth.

“You won't be able to stain me one bit! I won't let any man touch me!” shouted the woman with the injured body.

“You think you can still say that after this, the Moon Palace Matriarch, Chu Yui?!” said the man who was the Patriarch of the Thousand Sword Sect, Wang Guo.

“Are you guys sure you want to do that, Senior Wang?! Aren't you guys ordered to look after us and not the other way around?!” The woman with the body tied in chains said with a reminiscent tone.

The middle-aged man named Wang Guo clucked dejectedly and looked at the woman with the body tied in chains.

“At this moment I have to be patient! But tonight Yuan Fan intends to give Hong Zi Ran to me! I've been curious for a long time about her beauty!”

Finally Wang Guo along with the members of the Thousand Swords Sect managed to recapture Chu Yui as well as the Golden Swallow House Matriarch named Su Rong.

Chu Yui's face looked filled with grudge whereas Su Rong was still acting calm and observing the circumstances. As Wang Guo and his entourage moved towards the Jie nobleman's residence, Shu En instantly intercepted them and released a Night God Teleportation that instantly brought everything forcefully out of Jiehan Capital.

Now Shu En and Wang Guo and the others are in a forest around the Jiehan Capital, where Shu En came.

“What is this?! Why are we suddenly moving?!”

“Why are we outside Jiehan Capital?!”

The cultivators of the Thousand Swords Sect seemed confused when they found them outside the Jiehan Capital, while Wang Guo instantly noticed the figure of the black demon masked young man before them.

“Don't lower your vigilance! Look ahead and don't let your guard down!” Wang Guo exclaimed.

Instantly the cultivator of the Thousand Swords Sect realized the existence of Shu En who was watching them.

“Who is he?!”

“Is he the one who did all this?!”

‘His ability is very strange! I just first saw someone who can move and teleport like this!’ Su Rong nodded and observed Shu En closely.

Shu En's masked face also made Su Rong have trouble knowing the true cultivation of Shu En.

‘This ability..’ Meanwhile Chu Yui thought that Shu En's ability to switch places could save Hong Zi Ran.

‘But it seems like he is not a person to work with! Moreover he is a man!’ chu Yui said inwardly.

A few seconds later, Shu En spoke to Wang Guo.

“Master, first introduce yourself. It seems we don't have the slightest problem. So there's no point in you looking for trouble with me.” Wang Guo said carefully and did not want to mess with Shu En's mood.

“Master Wang Guo, what are you afraid of?! We win the amount and he's just alone!” said one of the Thousand Sword Sect cultivators whose cultivation was at the Earth Realm stage.

“We arrest and interrogate him, Mr. Wang Guo! I'm sure Mr. Fan and the others will be happy!” said the other one.

“Stupid-” Hasn't had time for Wang Guo to finish his speech, he saw Shu En had disappeared from before them and stood beside him.

‘There's no way he's moving as fast as lightning! Even I can't see what he's doing!’ Wang Guo gulped with cold sweat on his face as he saw that all of his subordinates had died with their heads cut off in Shu En's hands.

Shu En flicked his sword and immediately looked at Wang Guo coldly from behind his mask.

“Looks like there's nothing to talk about anymore! I'll make sure of it myself!” Shu En said in a cold tone as he unsheathed his sword on Wang Guo's stomach.

“Argh!!”

Wang Guo groaned in pain and showed no meaningful resistance as Shu En made his stomach hollow. Even as Wang Guo cried out in pain, Shu En instantly used his technique to look at Wang Guo's memories.

“You have made a big mistake for dealing with me! Tonight I will warn you for looking into my past troubles!” shu En said to Wang Guo.

Wang Guo realized that Shu En was using a technique that could see his memories. The pain that plagued his body and despair made Wang Guo die right then and there.

After that Shu En threw Wang Guo's body on top of the pile of Thousand Sword Sect cultivators he had killed, then by using Feifei's power, Shu En froze everyone he had just killed.

Seeing Shu En's action just now made Chu Yui and Su Rong's hearts beat with fear. The two froze when they saw Shu En freeze the corpses of Wang Guo and the others then smash them just like that.

“You two are free! Go!” shu En said to Chu Yui and Su Rong.

“Eh?” Chu Yui was still shocked and looked at Shu En who had obliterated his sword.

“Wait! Please tell me your name! I want to ask you for help!” chu Yui said to Shu En.

Yet Shu En only looked at Chu Yui and did not answer her words. A second later Shu En's body disappeared from the sight of the two as well as the air of his existence.

“He's gone, Yui. We should follow his words because all the members of the Black Scorpion have gathered in the Jiehan Capital. Besides you have to tell Xuexue about this.” Su Rong reminded.

“Rongrong, are you going to just abandon Ranran?! I've lost Brother Shui! If I lose Ranran, I won't be able to live my life with pride!” Chu Yui shed her tears realizing her helplessness.

Su Rong sighed and held onto Chu Yui's back then stroked her slowly.

“I'll help you. No need to cry, I also feel the same way with you.”

Then the two returned to the Jiehan Capital and ignored Shu En's words. Without Chu Yui, Su Rong and Shu En realizing, the three of them had a relationship because of Ling Shui.

The day Jie Hung planned to bring Zhang Xue to the Jia Emperor would fall apart tonight due to Shu En's arrival. The beginning of Shu En's vengeance has just begun.
