L.O.S.E 4 - Forging Martial Arts
ARC 1 - Fall to Rise
The closed-door meeting was attended by Queen Zhang, Counselor Hong Zi Ran, General Chi Huangshan, General Wang Zhi, General Jie Hung, Patriarch of the Sacred Sun Sect, among others, The Patriarch of the Thousand Sword Sect and several other middle and lower sect leaders.
The meeting began with the discussion of the attack carried out by the forces of the Jia Empire in the southern region of the Zhang Empire. Almost the entire southern region of the Zhang Empire was controlled by the forces of the Jia Empire except for the territory that was still under the protection of the Thousand Sword Sect.
“They are really vile! Slaughtered all the brothers and residents in the residence of Noble Jie! I can't forgive them! I will make sure they die by suffering!” general Jie Hung said with his entire body still injured.
“Your Majesty the Queen, have you read the letter from Emperor Jia? He has demeaned us because he intends to make you a guarantee of peace to both sides!” General Jie Hung continued.
“We can't allow this!”
Seeing General Jie Hung's condition certainly made everyone think that it was time for them to take action to fight. The peace treaty that the three empires in the Red Moon Continent had destroyed the Jia Empire and there was no harm if they did the same.
“If viewed from the route of the attack, then the next target is the North Wind Fortress, the region of Noble Chi.” The Sacred Sun Sect Patriarch responded.
“But Emperor Jia really showed his true identity! Their goal was Her Majesty the Queen and they had already dared to take a bloody action too far! Her Majesty the Queen give your direction!” the Sacred Sun Sect Patriarch said.
“We Holy Sun Sect are ready to fight to protect you and this imperial land!”
Seeing that everyone supporting him had been determined, Zhang Xue finally told everyone about the threat of the Jia Emperor to him from far away.
Zhang Xue explained about the ancient cultivator technique that had been legendary in the past, the Dragon Art Scroll. It is said that people who learn and can master the Dragon Art then the Qi in him is unlimited.
“Dragon Art Scrolls? I have never heard of this..” said the Patriarch of the Sacred Sun Sect.
“If it's true that the person who mastered it can have unlimited Qi from heaven and earth, then everything is getting clearer isn't it, Brother Chi?” sahut Patriarch of the Thousand Sword Sect.
“Your Majesty the Queen, so where is that Dragon Art Scroll now?” General Jie Hung asked enthusiastically.
Zhang Xue shook his head and replied, “Before my mother died, he told you that my father was the one who brought the scroll. Since childhood I have never seen it until now.”.
Seeing that Zhang Xue looked grieved, Hong Zi Ran finally continued what Zhang Xue wanted to say.
“Let's end this meeting and prepare all the troops! We'll go south in two days!”
“Meeting finished!”
That day Zhang Xue was unaware of the wind of change that was happening. The greedy nobles and ambitious cultivators were subjugated under his rule, but all thanks to what his late grandfather did in the past.
Now they move on without realizing there is a traitor in hiding. After the meeting everyone paid their respects to the people from the Jie Nobles family and the residents of the southern region who were victims of the massacre.
“Xuexue, it seems like what the Elder said is true as it is,” Hong Zi Ran said as he accompanied Zhang Xue to the funeral.
“If true then the person who became our enemy is the same person who had killed Big Brother Shui.”
“True, they are the ones who have made Elder Sister die.”
Zhang Xue was still a boy like Shu En. Zhang Xue vividly recalled how the figure of the person who had attacked the Moon Palace ten years ago. If not for the figure of the mysterious man it would have been ascertained by then all the members of the Moon Palace would have died.
Remembering that made Zhang Xue's face paled so did Hong Zi Ran. Meanwhile, Shu En, who was on his way to the northern region of the Zhang Empire, did not experience any significant interference.
It only took about two more days to arrive at the residence of the Sacred Sun Sect. Shu En spends time reading some of Hong Zi Ran's books and enjoying the scenery.
Finally Shu En along with the party of horse carriages escorting him had arrived at the Sacred Sun Sect. There Shu En is greeted by the presence of General Chi Huangshan who arrives first because of his ability.
Next to General Chi Huangshan was an old man standing. The old grandfather was the Patriarch of the Sacred Sun Sect as well as the real father of General Chi Huangshan who had come to greet Shu En.
“What's the fun of his journey Ender?” ask General Chi Huangshan.
“No, not at all pleasant. If I can cultivate then everything becomes easy,” Shu En replied grumbling in annoyance.
“Hahaha! Don't be disappointed like that! You've arrived here! You will train under my father's guidance!” General Chi Huangshan patted Shu En on the back and laughed.
Shu En looked at the old man standing up and smiled awkwardly, then politely greeted before the old man finally introduced himself.
“Shu En, welcome to the Sacred Sun Sect. I've heard a lot about you. Come in, I will help you find a healing method for your meridian points.”
The deg!
Shu En's heart stopped beating. The old man seemed to have the answer to what he had been going through all this time. Shu En happily walked into the residence of the Sacred Sun Sect and followed the old grandfather towards the Sun Sword Pavilion.
Arriving at the Sun Sword Pavilion, Shu En was treated to a delicious meal before the old man took Shu En into the basement of the Sun Sword Pavilion.
“Enter, do you want to know the answer?” The old grandfather looked at Shu En with sharp eyes.
Shu En gulped before replying, “Murid... A pupil? Juniors... Junior would love to know!”
“Then fight with me! I want to find out how strong your determination is!”
Instantly the aura around Shu En calmed down. The breeze began to pummel his body and slowly became a gripping atmosphere.
“I will not use Qi nor cultivator techniques. We will fight with bare hands.”
After saying so, the old man attacked Shu En. A powerful kick almost hits Shu En's head, but Shu En nimbly dodges.
“Hooh... Good, you have good reflexes.” The old grandfather smiled and then launched a continuous attack.
Shu En was overwhelmed by the reception and ended up with a huge kick that hit his heart and made it difficult for Shu En to breathe.
“You're like a dying chicken, but not bad.”
Then the old grandfather smiled kindly and went to help Shu En who almost fainted from his kick.
