ARC 1 - Fall to Rise

After knowing how weak he was without being able to cultivate, he, Shu En is desperate but the figure of an old grandfather named Chi Zhoufan who is the father of General Chi Huangshan tells Shu En if the condition of his body can be cured in two ways.

“From today I, Chi Zhoufan will train you. You don't have to worry, I'll tell you after returning.”

After saying that Chi Zhoufan went to do battle preparations with the troops from the Jia Empire in the North Wind Fortress.

Shu En was a little annoyed when knowing Chi Zhoufan made him curious in those two ways, yet he chose to vent his frustration by walking around the Sacred Sun Sect alone.

Without Shu En realizing it he was followed by one of the Elders of the Sacred Sun Sect. On Chi Zhoufan's orders, the Elder was given the task of supervising Shu En and protecting the Sacred Sun Sect.

When Shu En was in front of the building with an ancient feel, his heart felt comfortable and relieved especially there so many disciples were practicing swordsmanship. A letter inscribed with the Sword Hall of the Sun was recorded on a golden stone.

“Are you interested in practicing here?”

“Hah?!”

Shu En was shocked because suddenly a Sacred Sun Sect Elder named Guang Zhou appeared beside him. Shu En observed the middle-aged man and kept his distance.

“No need to fear, I am one of the Elders here,” Guang Zhou said before introducing himself.

Knowing that Shu En no longer kept his distance and accepted Guang Zhou's offer to look into the Sun Sword Hall.

What Shu En found was that hundreds of disciples of average age could already cultivate, especially their sword skills were all above Shu En.

‘So far is the difference?!’

Shu En said that in his heart when he found out how far apart he was from them. Shu En's angry expression was realized by Guang Zhou and made the man offer Shu En to practice.

“You're in training?”

“Can I join you, Elder Guang?”

Hearing that Guang Zhou smiled and held Shu En's head.

“Of course you can, starting today you are one of the students here.”

After that Shu En began his training under Guang Zhou for five days. During that time Shu En got the basics in sword fighting from Guang Zhou and learned to master it.

Having studied under Guang Zhou, Fei Chen seemed to be disliked by many disciples of his age especially the genius of the Sacred Sun Sect who was the son of General Chi Huangshan named Chi Yuan.

As Shu En trained on his own, Chi Yuan and his friend approached Shu En and challenged him to a fight.

“See she is Queen Zhang's adoptive sister isn't she? I heard he can't cultivate!”

“Can enter this sect because that insider is a shame!”

“Give him a lesson Young Master Chi! Otherwise he will become the beloved disciple of Elder Guang and your Grandfather!”

Three teenagers four years older than Shu En approached. The four of them surrounded Shu En and smiled cunningly when they found Shu En terrified before them.

“Greetings brother Shu En. Introduce my name Chi Yuan, I am here to challenge you to a duel with me!”

The fourteen-year-old looks full of confidence. Chi Yuan threw a wooden sword at Shu En and challenged him to a duel.

“Chi Yuan? So Senior is General Chi's son?”

“Don't be as if you're familiar with my father!”

Chi Yuan looked furious as Shu En looked overjoyed after learning of his identity.

“Alright, we start. His losing battle will leave this sect.”

“Are you ready?”

Chi Yuan smiled cunningly at Shu En and made the boy think.

“One... Two... Three...”

“Completed! I assume you agree!”

After that Chi Yuan attacked and Shu En took a defensive stance. It was pretty obvious that the fight was so one-sided that even in just a matter of minutes Shu En had already gotten a few heavy attacks.

“Stupid boy! Do you realize what you're doing?!” The girl looked coldly at Chi Yuan and broke the wooden sword.

“Ka-sister?!” Chi Yuan's face paled immediately.

“Run! Senior Chi Yue is coming!”

Chi Yuan's friends instead left Chi Yuan who was caught off guard torturing Shu En.

“You must teach me a lesson stupid boy!”

BUGH!!!

PLAQUE!!!

Without hesitation the girl named Chi Yue hit and kicked Chi Yuan's body until the teenager was sprawled on the ground. Just as he was about to unleash a powerful kick at Chi Yuan, Shu En moved quickly and made Chi Yue kick him.

“Argh! Stop Senior...” said Shu En weakly.

“Eh? What am I doing?” Chi Yue panicked because she kicked Shu En.

Knowing Shu En had fainted, Chi Yue vented her anger at her sister.

“See stupid sister! How do I explain this to Dad!”

“Do you want to die huh?!”

“Amd Brother Yue!”

Chi Yuan only screamed in fear because of the anger of her brother. It was a nightmare for him because he was always colonized and made a living by his brother.

Finally that afternoon Shu En was taken to General Chi Huangshan's residence in the Sacred Sun Sect for treatment. There Chi Yue looked so panicked for fear that her father and grandfather would find out about this.

When Shu En awakens, Shu En tries to get up from her sleep but Chi Yue stops her.

“Please stay here for today, Junior Shu.”

Chi Yue stared at Shu En for quite a while before lowering her head apologizing.

“Sorry for my brother's stupidity. I've taught him a lesson. I will make sure that stupid boy will not repeat the same thing again!”

Shu En smiled at Chi Yue and shook his head.

“No need to discuss it, Senior. I've forgiven.”

Shu En himself realized that the only thing he could do was forgive. The fate of the weak will always be like this. If not for Zhang Xue's influence, perhaps Shu En would have been even more miserable.

“But-”

Chi Yue felt even more guilty when she saw Shu En's sincere expression that forgave her sister. Soon Chi Yue turned her head back to look at Chi Yuan and stared intently at the teenager.

‘Come and apologize! Or I'll kill you!’ Chi Yuan looked deeply and interpreted the meaning of his older sister's gaze.

“Ma-maaf-”

“Apologies correctly!” Chi Yue confirmed.

Chi Yuan gulped at the gaze of his elder sister and immediately prostrated in front of Shu En.

“Sorry for my foolish actions, Young Master Shu! I promise I won't repeat that stupidity!”

Seeing Chi Yuan until such an extent made Shu En smile. Shu En could tell just how frightening the figure of Chi Yue was before Chi Yuan.

“I've forgiven you, Senior Chi Yuan.”

Hearing that Chi Yuan smiled and immediately stood looking at Shu En with a smile.

“Why are you smiling?” Chi Yue looked at Chi Yuan sharply and made the teenager instantly frightened.

“Go to the practice hall! Let Junior Shu rest!” chi Yue's orders to Chi Yuan.

That day Shu En stayed at General Chi Huangshan's residence, while a fierce battle took place at the North Wind Fortress.
