CHAPTER 69 | Devil Valley – Old Mine

After the meeting, they got ready to leave immediately for the old mine. The journey is not too far from the city of Pasaria to the old mine. The usually sensitive Qiongqi and Wuya did not smell any danger around them.

“Any, why are Qiongqi and Wuya calm-quiet? Usually when there is an enemy, they are always restless. Is that information not true?” xiaozi muttered in his heart.

“We go to that village, while we can rest there” Xiaozi said as he looked at one of the abandoned villages

There are 3 abandoned villages near the old mine. Seeing that, Qiongqi and Wuya came forward to hinder them by revealing his ferocious and fierce face. The old men shuddered at the sight of both Qiongqi and Wuya's faces becoming fiercely protective of Shan Mui and Chen Yan.

“The elders, please do not overdo it. We gave you stuff. Do not touch our female friends. Otherwise, don't blame us for cutting off your hands that dared to touch him” Xiaozi revealed his horrible face so the old men retreated not daring to continue to chase after Shan Mui and Chen Yan.

Xiaozi and his companions did not know that the first to ignite the incident was Yan Gang who had disguised himself among the old men. She smiled looking at the beauty of Shan Mui and Chen Yan.

“Hihihi.. You two should be mine. As for the others I will kill” Yan Gang murmured in his heart

Xiaozi's group of hunters were unaware of the danger of being stalked by his group. Although they had been wary, yet facing a person who was skilled in disguise was a difficult matter unless he revealed himself directly in front of them.

Xiaozi then invited his friends to find a place to rest in the village. They set the guard time alternately, while Qiongqi and Wuya despite sleeping, they remained vigilant as they were mystic beasts.

That night nothing happened, the next day Xiaozi took his friends to the old mine. They entered the cave where the mining was.

Xiaozi's friends could also feel the spiritual air in the cave, they then looked for their respective places to increase their cultivation to absorb the spiritual energy in the mine cave.

“Good. let us each cultivate to increase our strength” Xiaozi said giving a hint. Chen Yan also handed back cultivation pills to them for ease of cultivating.

About 3 hours had passed, it did not take them long because the spiritual air within the cave was so abundant, they managed to raise their respective cultivation levels. Shan Mui and He Xian had been at the late Silver level 5 whereas Chen Yan was still at the Silver level 4.

“Chen Yan, I will help you catch up with other friends, so that you can be just as strong later” said Xiaozi who came to Chen Yan.

Xiaozi then transferred his energy back to Chen Yan in order to be equal to the others at the peak level 5 of the Silver stage. In 1 hour more Chen Yan could finally rise to the Silver stage of level 5 with the help of the manpower from Xiaozi.

“Alright, we will continue the journey after you all managed to break through to the Gold stage.” continued Xiaozi while also cross-legged to increase the Diamond stage which is already at level 2. However due to performing energy transfer on Chen Yan, his strength level became to drop slightly to level 1.

Xiaozi only needed the reabsorption of energy so that he could restore his cultivation strength to the Diamond level 2

Within 4 hours, Shan Mui, He Xian and Chen Yan had finally broken through to the 1st level of Gold. However, his strength was still weak and unstable, so Xiaozi advised them to train him, then do some more energy absorption meditation in order to use their Gold stage strength well.

While practicing and meditating, the sun has sunk. They decided to rest in the mine cave.

“You guys here first, I'll go see the situation while looking for fruits to eat. Qiongqi and Wuya please take care of them” Xiaozi said

When Xiaozi had gone to look for fruits, suddenly smoke entered the cave and made his eyes closed. Qiongqi and Wuya became wary because of that.

Suddenly outside the cave, two figures were moving closer to the cave.

“Jiangshi” Qiongqi and Wuya narrowed their eyes seeing 4 Jiangshi figures jumping up and down near the mouth of the cave guarded by Qiongqi and Wuya.

A Jiangshi leader was at the very front followed by 3 more Jiangshis behind him. Jiangshi is a vampire-like undead that sucks human blood and moves by jumping around.

Qiongqi and Wuya immediately stood up against the arrival of the Jiangshis.

THE GRROOAAAR! Qiongqi roared with sparkling eyes looking at those Jiangshis.
