CHAPTER 23 | Old woman and monster Orka

After preparing all the equipment for hunting, the three of them went to the city of Lempung which is about 7 days walk to the east of the city of Pelangi.

In the middle of the journey to the city of Lempung they pass through a forest that is quite densely called the Ancient Pine Forest. It is said that in the forest there is a very terrible monster that has attacked everyone who passes through it.

People usually take a detour a bit far to avoid the forest so it takes 10 days to walk to the city of Lempung, but safer.

“You sure we have no problem passing through this forest?” asked Chen Yan

“I'm so sure” says Shan Mui

Chen Yan sighed in complete confidence with Shan Mui.

Xiaozi who did not know about the forest only followed them into the dense forest.

“What's wrong with this forest?” xiaozi asked as they were already inside the forest.

When Shan Mui's face was calm, Xiaozi became calm.

In contrast to Chen Yan who knew about the horrifying story of this forest, his face looked terrified and looked around him.

Although outside the forest, the weather was still bright due to daylight, but upon entering the dense forest, the atmosphere turned dark and dim.

About 300 steps in front of them appeared an old woman sitting under a pine tree with her cane.

The old woman seemed to grin when she saw the three of them coming into the forest.

Shan Mui narrowed her eyes when she saw the old woman.

“Hihihi.. You really have the courage to enter this forest. Are you not afraid of being killed by monsters in this forest?” asked the old woman while chuckling

Although creepy, Xiaozi emboldened himself to walk up to the woman to see more clearly.

“Sorry grandma, is this road right to the city of Lempung?” ask her innocently while pointing towards the right

The old woman seemed to smile strangely at Xiaozi's question which did not look afraid of her.

“No. That road leads to death” said the old woman.

“Then, what is this road?” asked Xiaozi who then pointed to the left

“No it's also the road to death” said the old woman again looked confused.

Xiaozi then looked ahead behind the old woman and pointed in that direction.

“Means the way to the front ya nek” said Xiaozi with a face understand.

The old woman was annoyed to see Xiaozi look that looked as if she was fooling him.

“No, all these roads lead to death”.

Xiaozi's face looked confused at the old woman's reply and turned towards Shan Mui.

“Nona Shan, it looks like we got lost” Xiaozi said at his leisure

Chen Yan's face that had been pale from the beginning saw the old woman becoming annoyed also saw Xiaozi's face that really looked ridiculous not understanding the situation.

Shan Mui just smiled looking at him.

“No. Our direction is correct Xiaozi. We just go to the right to go to the city of Lempung” said Shan Mui

“Then why did this grandma say all those roads lead to death?” ask Xiaozi

“Because of this!” the old granny shouted as she charged towards Xiaozi all of a sudden

“Grandma, why did you attack me?” ask Xiaozi

“Hihihi.. I am the ruler of this forest. You dare to enter my territory” said the old grandmother while whistling to call something.

The ground in the forest shook when footsteps came closer.

DUMM!

The ground remained shaking, Xiaozi and the others felt his body shake from the tremors.

Then a large, hairy black tall figure with a hideous face came out from behind the tree in the forest.

“This child will kill you. She really likes human meat” shouted the granny.

“Orka, kill them all!” the old granny orders on the big hairy tall figure

The figure called Orka then attacked towards Xiaozi who was closer to him.

Xiaozi dodged a vicious attack from him by twitching around here and there. The old woman's eyes became irritated to see her son Orka did not manage to touch Xiaozi in the slightest.

“Orka, don't play around. Quickly finish them. I'm already hungry” cried the old granny with annoyance

Hearing the old woman's orders, Orka became increasingly fierce to attack towards Xiaozi.

“Are we not helping him?” chen Yan asked Shen Muai while shivering in fear.

“We see Xiaozi” ability said Shan Mui relaxed but remain vigilant and prepared.

The battle between Xiaozi and Orka was not balanced, Orka attacked blindly without any skill, relying only on his instincts and strength, while Xiaozi only dodged and occasionally pushed and resisted attacks from Orka.

The old lady looked annoyed at their long-time-consuming fight.

“Hei young man, are you unable to retaliate against the attack? You're just playing cats dancing around and around” shouted the old woman lured Xiaozi

Xiaozi then jumped backwards backwards towards his companions. Orka also stopped her attack temporarily to take a breath.

“Xiaozi, what happened? Why don't you strike back?” ask Shan Mui

“Sorry, I don't understand empty-handedness” said Xiaozi plainly

The eyes of Shan Mui and Chen Yan turned blankly staring at Xiaozi's reply. The old woman who also heard Xiaozi's reply and almost fell down in surprise.

Orka did not understand what they all meant. He just roared raising his battle spirit again.

RROOAHARR!

“Use your sword if you don't know the empty-handed style” shouted Chen Yan

“True sir, I was waiting for you to use me” said the Sword of the Spirit Hunter befell him

Xiaozi then took out his Spirit Hunter sword and swung it forward in the face of Orka's attack. Orka's eyes dodged as she felt a sharp energy almost slashing through her skin

The old woman was furious with wide-eyed eyes looking at the heirloom sword in Xiaozi's hand which was very strong aura.

“Sialang. Why did this child have an heirloom weapon with such a strong aura” the old woman became annoyed by it.

Orka hesitated to make an attack when she saw the sword in Xiaozi's hand and felt the aura of death coming from the sword.

Orka's instinct says to avoid the sword. He seemed confused to make a decision.

“Why are you silent Orka, are you afraid? Kill them or I will punish you” cried the old woman looking at the hesitant Orka.

Hearing the word punishment, Orka then became ferocious and charged towards Xiaozi fearlessly. He did not care about the death aura emanated from the Spirit Hunter sword and crashed towards Xiaozi using his fist.
