CHAPTER 36 | Mount Wushan – Swarm Monster Spirit Wolf

After doing the last request from Old Snake Grandfather and paying his last respects to him. The Xiaozi Monster Hunter Team continued its journey towards Lempung City at the foot of Mount Wushan to hunt the Wolf Spirit monster.

By late afternoon, they arrived at the town of Lempung. It looks like the residents of the city of Lempung who are crowded during the day immediately clean up to enter their respective homes when night falls.

Xiaozi and his friends were walking through a city that had begun to be deserted at night.

“The nighttime atmosphere looks gripping. Where are we now?” asked Chen Yan who was anxious to see the already deserted situation of the city on the streets.

“All residents have been hiding inside their respective homes” He Xian said as he looked around.

The four of them walked vigilantly inside the town of Lempung, but did not see a single place that was still open for them to just stop by for a rest.

“Ah, this place is like a grave. No one's life seemed in the night” muttered Chen Yan

“We are going straight towards Wushan” mountain said Xiaozi who was not happy with the situation of such a city.

In Xiaozi's home world, the nightlife in the city of Murbai is full of frenetic merchants who sell, entertainment women who wait for customers and visitors who always arrive from various other cities.

But in this monster world, even in the Rainbow city the nightlife is not too lively. Only a few shops and stalls are still open at night.

For Xiaozi who was used to living a life of fun in his hometown, living in this monster world was like a punishment to him. The supply of his mother in the storage ring is thinning, if he does not immediately find his own money then he will live like a bum on the streets.

Being a monster hunter is the fastest money-making wetland in the world. So inevitably he must follow this trend of work even though he does not like to risk his life for money.

When they arrived at the end of the town of Lempung, they saw a forest on the slopes of a very thick mountain.

Suddenly he saw several pairs of red-colored eyes peering out from the lush shrubs and trees in the forest. Xiaozi then asked his friends to be on the lookout for any danger they might encounter.

They also saw several figures flashed from the direction of the forest towards the city of Lempung at high speed. However there were about 10 pairs of eyes that kept an eye on Xiaozi and his companions.

“Are they the wolf spirit monsters?” shan Mui's murmured which was indistinctly looking at them

Xiaozi immediately took out the Spirit Hunter sword, as well as He Xian preparing his magic wand to protect their team from attack. Shan Mui and Chen Yan who were flipping over also prepared the sword and secret weapon respectively by being wary of the attacks from behind them.

“Who are you? Exit” shouted Xiaozi at the figure lurking in front of them.

GRDR...GGRR...GGRRRR!

Ten black wolves twice the size of a human body came out from behind the bushes and trees in the forest. Then the figure that flashed into the middle of the city also seemed to have re-encircled Xiaozi and his companions.

It now seemed that dozens of large black wolves had surrounded them with a violent face. Their red eyes stared at Xiaozi and friends with grin and grinning mouths dripping with water and making a growling sound that made my feathers shudder.

In the distance Xiaozi also saw two wolves dragging two human-like figures that made him surprised.

“They caught two humans?” mumbles Xiaozi

“Total them hundreds. In the distance, I heard the sound of battle. Is there anyone other than us hunting them?” he Xian said

He Xian nodded his head hearing Shan Mui's reply, meaning they had many people aiming similarly to kill this wolf spirit monster.

“Remember, this wolf spirit monster includes a golden monster with a price of 100 gold per head. So don't underestimate them” Shan Mui said back.

Hearing the price of 100 gold, Xiaozi and the others were immediately excited to kill those wolves.

A wolf that looked the biggest in front roared gave his herd a cue to attack Xiaozi and his companions. Upon hearing the leader's cue, the wolf pack immediately charged out fiercely towards Xiaozi and his companions.

Xiaozi did not want to lose, he immediately deployed his Fire Cloud Sword style and charged fiercely at the wolf pack. Surprisingly, when his sword managed to kill one of them, their bodies disappeared into black smoke and disappeared.

“Is this magic?” mumbles Xiaozi

“No. They are spirits. Notice your attack do not let your guard down He Xian said who fought next to him

He Xian seemed to cast his magic to attack simultaneously towards the wolf pack. Just like Xiaozi, when He Xian managed to kill the wolf with his magic, they turned into black smoke and disappeared.

Shan Mui and Chen Yan also experienced the same thing, the wolf pack one by one disappeared and their numbers began to decrease. Only the leader remained a man who was still standing grinning towards them.

“Sial, my gold so lost” grumbled Chen Yan saw could not catch one of those wolf monsters.

“Their bodies look real and their attacks are felt when snatching towards our bodies. And when it comes to weapons it feels real. But when they die, their bodies disappear” Xiaozi muttered

“Master, they are indeed the spirits of wolves. It is likely that the leader created the illusion of the spirit. He must be very strong” sahut Sword Spirit Hunter

Hearing the words Sword Spirit Hunter, Xiaozi immediately went to attack towards the black wolf leader.

Seeing Xiaozi charging towards him, the wolf leader made a move to welcome his attack. The wolf's movements were quite agile avoiding the sword attack from Xiaozi.

Occasionally it seemed that the wolf leader's body jumped while clawing, then his head also attacked intending to bite Xiaozi's body ferociously.

The agility of this wolf leader was far different from that of the Serpent Queen who despite being fast yet her body was still wriggling slowly. While the leader of this wolf after his attack was unable to touch Xiaozi immediately turned around and attacked back.

A claw from the wolf leader almost hit Xiaozi's left arm, fortunately the Spirit Hunter sword immediately blocked the attack. And made those wolf claws bounce off by the sword force of the Spirit Hunter.

The Wolf's eyes seemed to grow fiercer after clawing against the Spirit Hunter's sword. He felt a force that wanted to absorb his body.

“Hehehe... You can feel my hunger ya” said Sword Spirit Hunter.

“Who are you?” asked the wolf leader to the Spirit Hunter Sword.

Xiaozi did not hear those words, the Sword Spirit Hunter sent out a telepathic voice and conversed with the wolf leader.

“I sword Spirit Hunter named Lingjian. And I like your aura. I will devour it” said Sword Spirit Hunter while buzzing.

“Don't dream you can beat me. My master will not stay silent to see me lose” said the black wolf

“Master? You're just a follower?” The Sword Spirit Hunter did not believe.

The wolf leader did not answer the question of the Spirit Hunter Sword, he again attacked Xiaozi more fiercely
