CHAPTER 30 | Serpent Clan Kingdom – Plans against the Serpent Queen

Xiaozi's face darkened upon hearing the conversation of the two women beside him.

“You are talking as if there is no me here” Xiaozi murmured in his heart

“You didn't ask how I felt about it” Xiaozi said suddenly interrupting the conversation of the two women.

The two women stared fiercely at Xiaozi upon hearing his words.

“Ah, okay. Let's just say I'm not here to hear it” Xiaozi said back while staying away from them

Now that Xiaozi's cultivation strength was already at Bronze level 4, there were only two more steps left to break through to Silver level 1.

“He Xian, what exactly does the Serpent Queen mean to hold us back? Why didn't they kill us?” xiaozi asked He Xian

“Not yet. The Serpent Queen intends to eat our bodies and absorb our spirit power to increase her cultivation power

Hearing He Xian's reply, Shan Mui's three faces, Chen Yan and Xiaozi were shocked by it.

“Queen Snake can absorb the power of human spirit?” ask Xiaozi.

“True. It's not much different from your sword. Not only humans, but all beings who have spirits can be absorbed by him” He Xian continued

“So that's why the sword force of the Spirit Hunter became that strong” Shan Mui said after hearing He Xian's explanation again.

The Serpent Queen was one of the three mages of the beast clan, the other mages were from the cat clan and the goat clan. But the Serpent Queen was the strongest among them.

“He Xian, it looks like you know a lot about magic, will you join our monster hunting team?” xiaozi asked He Xian

Shan Mui's eyes twitched hearing Xiaozi's invitation to He Xian, although she admired He Xian's knowledge of magic, but getting him to join was her decision.

Shan Mui then pulled Xiaozi's hand “Xiaozi what do you mean? Why did you ask him to join our monster hunting team?” whispered Shan Mui

“Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to precede you, Miss Shan. But if you don't want to, don't think about it, just assume I never said it” Xiaozi said

“Not like that. Before you invite someone, you should discuss with me. We should really consider his skills first. What if he refuses? And we must find a good way to invite him to let him go.” Shan Mui said coldly

“Good. I am willing” He Xian said casually

Shan Mui's eyes twitched at He Xian's reply, she was speechless after hearing He Xian's reply. It was all decided, Xiaozi invited him and He Xian were willing to join.

“Nona Shan, it seems like He Xian is ready. So there is no need to find a way to take her, right?” xiaozi said

“I've heard” Shan Mui said while going away from Xiaozi.

Xiaozi did not care much about Shan Mui's attitude, he was glad that He Xian was on the team that could help them overcome magic in hunting monsters.

“Let's have a team meeting to devise a plan to escape from this place” Xiaozi took with him later.

“How do I get out of this place?” Xiaozi immediately started the ceremony

“Every full moon, the Serpent Queen always performs rituals to absorb the spirits of the prisoners she has collected before. I think in the ritual we can do resistance” He Xian said

“They don't know the whereabouts of your Spirit Hunter Sword. You can use it against the guards who will pick us up.” He Xian said back

Xiaozi's face mused listening to the plan from He Xian, he felt the plan was quite simple if he wanted to escape. However he had to obtain the Mustika Snake as well in the mission this time around.

“He Xian, have you ever seen the Snake Mustika belonging to the Serpent Queen?” ask Xiaozi

“Mustika Snake? I've never seen him. Perhaps the Queen herself kept the thing with him” He Xian said

“If so it will become even more difficult. The only way is to defeat this Snake Queen” Xiaozi said again

He Xian looked at Xiaozi with a clueless and questionable look in his mind.

“Do not say you will fight the Serpent Queen, Xiaozi” Chen Yan said seeing Xiaozi brooding like that.

“However I should get that Mustika Snake, despite having to fight the Snake Queen” Xiaozi told Chen Yan.

“But life is more important Xiaozi, do you think can win from the Snake Queen?” asked Chen Yan back

Xiaozi was still speechless hearing the opinion of He Xian that there was a point. Every break through level he always needed more energy and became exhausted afterwards.

Not to mention he had to stabilize the level. And breaking through each stage the higher the heavier it gets.

“Our journey is still far away Xiaozi, we have just started with the first mission. Don't let us end here” timpal Shan Mui who came to talk

Xiaozi finally decided to fight the Snake Queen himself, he handed the snake troops to the three of them who handled it.

“I will attract the Serpent Queen to go fight outside this Palace. I'm handing you three over to find the Mustika Serpent. After finding it you go to the Yingze River waiting for me. If I don't return in 10 hours, leave me and go see Old Grandpa Snake to help him” Xiaozi said

Shan Mui and Chen Yan actually disapproved of Xiaozi's plan, but Xiaozi convinced her to trust him. He would definitely come to the Yingze River to meet them within 10 hours of luring the Snake Queen out of her Palace.

He Xian finally agreed to the plan, and he could also search for his wand that had been snatched by the Snake Queen before.

Chen Yan understood Xiaozi's intention to increase his body's energy back so that Xiaozi could increase his cultivation.
