CHAPTER 58 | Hill of Death – Searching for Red Crystals

Hearing the question from the Bianfu Bat King, his four generals did not dare to reply.

“Do you know how strong General Wume's army is?” ask the Bat King.

The four Generals nodded their heads, “The power of General Wume who is home in the 5th position of General Monster far above us” said one of them.

“Good. Now do you know how strong a team of monster hunters can exterminate them?” ask the Bat King back.

The eyes of the four bat generals twitched neatly at the words of the Bat King. They forget about that. Now, of course, the Spirit Forest has been controlled by the Monster Hunt Team. And attacking there means taking lives for nothing.

“I have a feeling, we will be the target of this Monster Hunting Team next.” said the next Bat King.

“Then what should we do King?” ask one of the generals.

“You guys stay around our region. I'm going to go see Monster General Sanme and ask for protection from him” said the Bat King.

Monster General Sanme is the 3rd rank general of the monster generals under King Monster Xhame. The territory of Monster General Sanme was in the southwest direction of the bat clan territory called the Land of Fire.

After carefully calculating the strategy, the only best way is to ask for protection from monster general Sanme. The Bat King immediately set out on his own to the residence of Monster General Sanme.

While the Bat King went to ask Monster General Sanme for help. Xiaozi's Hunter Team had arrived at the bat clan's territory. The bat general who knew the arrival of Xiaozi's hunting team immediately gathered at their headquarters inside the interconnected cave.

“What should we do now? The king is not here and he is still looking for help” said one bat general

No one can give you his idea, “We better hide or fight?” ask the others.

“I think we should hide, if the situation is urgent. We have to fight them” said one of the generals

They agreed to do so and hid in the cave.

Qiongqi who had a sharp smell immediately knew the location of the cave. He who was the bravest was always in front of leading the way of Xiaozi's team of monster hunters.

“Master, I found their cave” Qiongqi told Xiaozi.

Xiaozi looked towards the cave, “Light the torch! We will enter this cave using a torch.” Xiaozi said

Bats do not like light or heat. That's why they prefer to go out at night. Their eyes are actually not very good at vision, but to move they usually use the power of sound to find out the position around them.

Xiaozi immediately lit the torch with his friends, Xiaozi stepped first followed by Qiongqi who walked beside him to guard his master.

The light from the torch illuminated the previously dark cave. The cave was very deep and had many passageways inside. Xiaozi then ordered them to split up.

Xiaozi left with Shan Mui, Qiongqi with Chen Yan and He Xian with Wuya. They each chose a hallway to enter. “Be careful” Xiaozi's message to his friends.

The further into the cave, it seemed as if the road was decreasing. The cave seemed to be getting deeper and deeper down. Xiaozi found a stone door at the end of the hallway and pushed it away. Behind the stone door were many precious items. “This may be their precious object storage” Xiaozi muttered

They only relied on torchlight to illuminate within the cave. “It looks like this place is already at the end. We did not find the Red Crystal it” Shan Mui said

“Hmm... We should ask them” Xiaozi said.

“They?” Shan Mui did not understand what Xiaozi meant.

Xiaozi then exerted his energy and struck towards one of the walls.

BAMM!

“Aakhh..” heard a scream as Xiaozi struck towards that wall. Shan Mui was surprised to see two human-like figures falling down from the cave wall.

The two bat generals hiding in the treasure room groaned in pain by Xiaozi's attack. They held each other's stomachs while grinding their teeth.

“Who are you?” ask one of the generals

“I'm a monster hunter team. We came here to look for Red Crystals” Xiaozi said

The eyes of the two generals twitched again upon hearing the word Red Crystal. They stared at Xiaozi with angry faces.

“Red Crystals are our precious objects. I won't tell you where the object is” said one of the generals

“Good. If you don't want to tell me, I'll find it myself” Xiaozi said.

“So since you guys are meaningless to me, I I will kill you” continued Xiaozi coldly who then gathered his strength and sent a greater energy towards one of the generals.

The general who was hit by the energy blow from Xiaozi immediately died into a corpse in front of the other general.

The general's face turned pale seeing that one of his friends had become a corpse in a single blow. “This is terrible” muttered the general in his heart.

“Ah, rest easy I will send you soon to catch up with him” said Xiaozi who immediately put pressure on the bat general with his strength.

The bat general was terrified, he couldn't move. Only his mouth can speak. “I'll talk. Don't kill me. I can take you to the Red Crystal's place” cried the surviving general

Xiaozi smirked at the words of the general. “Do you pretend to know the place in order to survive death. I don't believe you” Xiaozi said pretending to be disbelieving.

“Trust me, I know it.”The bat general said solemnly.

Xiaozi looked at the face of the bat general.”Good. I remember those words. If in the middle of the road you dare betray me. I will make your body unrecognizable” Xiaozi threatened the bat general.

“No. I dare not” said the bat general again.

He then escorted Xiaozi away to the other hallway which was also heading towards the bottom. At the end of the hallway there is a red light that is as close as ever more clearly visible.

At the end of the passageway above the cave wall, there was a blood-red crystal burning in the room inside the cave.
