The Sword of the Spirit Hunter

The Sword of the Spirit Hunter
CHAPTER 20 | Forming a Monster Hunting Team

After taking the blood-boosting pill, and removing the blood dripping from his nose, Xiaozi looked at Shan Mui who was laughing amusedly at his behavior.

“Damn it, this woman accidentally came teasing me” Xiaozi muttered in her heart

“What did Miss Shan see me today afternoon?” ask Xiaozi then

After stopping his laughter, Shan Mui now looked at Xiaozi with a serious face and looked at Xiaozi's slightly strange eyes looking at him

“Ka... You do not look at me with a strange look so” said Shan Mui turned her face and laughed amusedly back

With great difficulty finally without looking towards Xiaozi's face, he continued

“I came here to invite you to form the Monster” Hunting Team Shan Mui said seriously

Xiaozi's face looked at Shan Mui's face to investigate and then held Shan Mui's forehead which made Shan Mui's face turn red because of it

“What do you do?” shan Mui asked a strange look towards Xiaozi

“I just want to check if you are sick?” sahut Xiaozi with ease.

“Bigger! So you think I'm sick of taking you on a team?” shan Mui shouted

Xiaozi innocently nodded his head to Shan Mui.

“I heard you are a person who does not like to be on a team with others” Xiaozi said back

Suddenly Shan Mui stood up with her face flushed red

“Who said such a thing to you?” ask her with a annoyed tone

“I heard the people of Prince Shang talking about you while eating at the diner” Xiaozi said casually

“How much did you hear?” asked Shan Mui whose face was now beginning to turn curious.

Xiaozi pretended to think of recalling the incident while looking up.

“Hmm.. enough to decide to save my life from the gallows” Xiaozi said coldly

“What do you mean?” Shan Mui was confused by Xiaozi's reply

“Already, I really like you Miss Shan, but I have to think well. I don't want to take anyone else's future wife let alone the Prince of Shang's. My neck could be the bet” Xiaozi said with no expression

Hearing that, Shan Mui's facial expression then turned even calmer. He sat back next to Xiaozi and sighed.

“I've decided my match with Prince Shang. I told my father” Shan Mui in a firm voice

“What?” yelled Xiaozi who then subconsciously held her neck

“Ka... You didn't mention my name to them, did you?” xiaozi asked nervously in fear.

Cold sweat started pouring out all over Xiaozi's body, he didn't expect Shan Mui to be able to easily decide the matter of his matchmaking like that.

“No. I didn't mention your name. But I said that I have loved others” Shan Mui casually said

“Aaahh... I... It was the same result” shouted Xiaozi began to shiver

The shadow of the gallows haunted his mind. He didn't want to die silly in this world because of women.

“Then what happened? How do they accept it?” ask Xiaozi

“I was kicked out of home” Shan Mui said casually

“Ja.. Don't tell me you came here to sleep, did you?” ask her back

“Iya. I want to sleep back here. Or do you have the heart to see me sleeping outside?” he said with a clear face

“Aah.. hah.. You really want to kill me miss. There are still many empty rooms why should you come here?” mumbled Xiaozi shivering in his heart

Shan Mui then got up from her seat and went over to Xiaozi's bed with some rest.

Seeing that, Xiaozi grabbed her own hair. She could not believe Shan Mui's behavior so calmly after deciding on her match.

“What should I do? I also need rest” murmured in my heart

Finally Xiaozi went to the diner to order food and then returned to his room to eat with Shan Mui.

“I know you haven't slept. Eat first with me” take Xiaozi while preparing their meals

Hearing the word food, Shan Mui then went down from the bed and sat down next to Xiaozi preparing to eat.

They had dinner together before resting. After finishing his meal. Shan Mui returned to the bed to rest, but Xiaozi was still sitting on the bench in her room.

What Xiaozi had in mind was not about Shan Mui's matchmaking, but about forming that Monster Hunt Team.

In this world that he was familiar with close and could believe was Shan Mui. He doesn't know anyone else anymore. And Shan Mui was well acquainted with this region of the world. So it would be a great help to him rather than going alone hunting monsters.

Then he sighed and looked towards Shan Mui who had started sleeping on the bed.

“This woman also trusts me a lot. She calmly slept inside my room soundly without fear of me doing anything bad to her” muttered Xiaozi who then stood up to her bed

But one thing Xiaozi did not know, even though Shan Mui looked calm from the outside, but behind his blanket he held a knife which was his habit of keeping watch even in his sleep.

Shan Mui was actually pretending to sleep by closing her eyes facing the other place against Xiaozi.

“What do you want to do Xiaozi? I'm not ready to sleep with you. Do I have to surrender? Do I have to kill you? Ah no, I can't possibly kill you” Shan Mui thought of many things while her heart skipped a beat waiting for what Xiaozi would do

Xiaozi then pulled out the blanket and properly restrained it on Shan Mui's body then went out of his room.

“You are such a good man Xiaozi, I love you more and more Shan Mui muttered when she saw Xiaozi had left her room. But his heart hurt a little bit because of it.

Outside the room, Xiaozi then thought of a hint from grandfather Tuo on how to use the sword style. He then took out the Lingjian Spirit Hunter sword from within his ring.

The Spirit Killing Sword then gleamed reflecting the moonlight that was currently at full moon. Then under the full moon, Xiaozi retrained the style of the Fire Cloud Sword from within his Celestial Sword cultivation book.

In the morning, Shan Mui woke up and did not see Xiaozi in the room nor outside her room. He then went to look for him around the inn including to the place to eat.

“Where is Xiaozi?” he thought he was worried about Xiaozi

He felt guilty for taking the bed in his room again last night. With guilt he went around looking for Xiaozi.

He suddenly saw Xiaozi come out from inside the room next to his own while rubbing his eyes.

Shan Mui's previously guilty face had now turned to be annoyed by herself.

“Free I was worried about him, it turns out he booked another room himself” murmured inwardly

Xiaozi looked towards Shan Mui in front of him then smiled at him after feeling refreshed waking up this morning.

“Alright miss Shan. I will join your Monster Hunting Team”
