SYAHDU (Contract Sleep Friends)

SYAHDU (Contract Sleep Friends)
Syahdu Voice

The room began to quiet as Syahdu lowered his standmic right near his lips.

Seeing Syahdu's nervous face, Arga took the initiative to go up to the stage to pull him up, but his steps came to a halt as Syahdu began to voice out.

🎶The sounding from my bedroom wall

Draw myself from the long daydream

It doesn't feel like the night is getting late

I'm still awake

Baby you where I want to be together

I need all to be missed

Maybe you feel the same way there

Like my cold in tonight🎶

Arga did not blink with her lips slightly opened. Awe flowed throughout his body. He did not know Syahdu had such a soothing voice in his ears.

Not only the man, the voice of Syahdu is also like bewitching the whole room that does not budge. Everyone was now just staring and listening to the girl's melodious chant.

🎶Sepi I think my heart is at the moment, oh my dear. If you're here, I'm calm..🎶

The sound of a loud applause filled the entire room. The echo made Syahdu attract a thin smile because he could finally sing smoothly and make admiration throughout the party hall. He sighed, until he realized Arga was already standing at the end of the stage.

Whispers began to be heard as Arga walked towards Syahdu. The spotlight of the stage lights clarified Arga's steps towards the girl. It also made some lips ask who the woman who approached Arga, why Arga went up on stage and picked her up.

Without a word, Arga reached out. For some reason, after hearing Syahdu sing, his heart was a little better actually. But after hearing people's question marks on the figure of Syahdu, made him a little worried if the girl was known to many people.

Syahdu welcomed Arga's helping hand, he followed the man who pulled him down. The quiet sound in the room made an awkward atmosphere as many pairs of eyes were only staring at the two people holding hands down the stage.

"Yaaa, thanks to her mom who's been singing in an emass voice. Again, clap." The MC began to make a sound when he realized the silence created.

"Arga, who is he?"

Unanswered question, because none of them knew the woman.

...~...

...PoV Syahdu Larasati's...

I lowered my head as Arga looked at my face with that deathly look. There was no sound, only Arga's heavy breath could be heard in my ear. I know, Arga must be angry because I did not keep my promise to continue to be beside him. I didn't understand why I ran away from her and just sang on stage all of a sudden. To be honest, I also wanted to run away. But I know, it'll put Arga to shame. What reason would I make to save me from Arga's punishment on me?

"Udah satisfied?"

I looked up, looked at Arga for a while then lowered my gaze.

"Lo ain't heard my talk to keep it near me. Why are you running?"

"I-i'm.."

"That's!"

We looked at the people who approached. He was one of Arga's friends who was in the circle earlier. The man looked at me with a strange smile in my eyes.

"Known, Alvin." He reached out his hand and I glanced towards Arga.

"By the line."

I welcomed her hand and I saw from the tail of my eyes, Arga went to her waist and threw away her body. Maybe I was upset because I introduced myself. Though he had warned earlier so that I refused the acquaintance of anyone.

"Have Arga, huh?" Ask Alvin blatantly.

I raised an eyebrow, Alvin's sentence was not so clear to answer. If that means girlfriend, I'm not her boyfriend.

"Usually Arga never takes a girl to any event. Must be hired, right?"

I was surprised by her question and then glanced at Arga. The man was still looking the other way with his jaw hardened.

"Gue knows, Arga likes to hire women. Lo too, right? Wonder, how the hell, let dapet chick like lo gini. Arga dapet a cute mute feeling."

He looked at me from top to bottom and it made me feel uncomfortable.

"Now, my business card. Your voice is so good. I want to be a famous singer. Just type my name on the internet. Must've been plenty. I've done a lot of singers who are now very successful."

I took the card lazily. Just appreciate it because I'm Arga's partner here.

Alvin took a step forward, closing his face to my ear. "Gue tau lo simpenan Arga. I'll pay many times the price of Arga."

I'm speechless. Cheapo. That was the first word I got when he said that in my ear. I do look cheap from the point of view of people all this time, but that does not mean I can be harassed.

She chuckled at me who was silent when in fact I was holding back my emotions, feeling humbled by her. I want to beat this guy. If it wasn't for Arga, I would have slapped him hard.

Arga pulled my hand away from Alvin. He glanced at me and looked in annoyance at Alvin.

"Don't do it dong, Ga. We are both women lovers." Alvin laughed again while patting Arga on the shoulder.

"Gue just offered him a good price. Same face and class. I know, this is your personal whore."

I immediately took the drink that the waiter brought in the tray, doused it on Alvin to make the whole room excitedly focused on us.

My blood boiled as he said that word about me. I swear, I don't like being compared to my mom. His words really hurt my feelings.

I let go of Arga's hand violently and got out of there. Fuck the high-class way! It contained only shallow-grade perverted brains. Is it because they make money so they can be as they please?

"Shahdu!"

I'm stopping. Wh who? The arga? He called my name? I just heard him say my name. Not Laras, but Syahdu.

I looked at Arga in annoyance. He must be the same as his friend. Does she also consider me a whore?!

Arga silently looked at me who started crying. Then give me a handkerchief.

"Let's go home." Say it and hold my hand again.

"Arga, wait!"

A woman's voice is heard. I immediately left, not wanting to be seen by anyone now including Arga.

Not knowing what they were talking about, I just wanted to get away from it because it was still burning with emotion, getting into the elevator and pressing the top floor button.

Not yet reached the destination, the elevator opened.

"Shew?"

I'm shocked. Cloud, why is he here? His clothes were a little messy with his suit.

The clouds enter the elevator. He saw me from top to bottom.

"Where from? Real pretty. Pangling me."

I'm not smiling. Can't do. My anger is still at its peak.

The cloud saw a button in the elevator leading to the top floor. He followed me out to the rooftop of the building when the elevator doors opened.

"Shahdu, you cry, huh?"

I didn't answer, Clouds would have known if I saw the look on my face that was a mess.

I was staring at the building down there. The wind started to pull my hair back. It's cold, but I keep it.

"Well, do I look like my mother?"

The clouds looked at me with furrowed brows. "Different. You're different from your mother. Not the same, totally different. I know because we've been friends for a long time."

I cried hearing the Cloud's reply. Although I was hurt, but deep down, really, what Alvin said was not a mistake. It's just that I haven't accepted who I really am now.

"Hey.."

The clouds held onto my shoulders, looking down at me a little who wouldn't look at me.

"Who made you like this, hm? Do I have to beat him up?"

I shook my head.

"Whoever it is, he must be very envious of you. Look, you're so pretty now. A good woman like you, not one bit like your mother. I'm sure it is."

The words Cloud made me even more miserable. What if he finds out that I'm the same person as my mother? It's just that I hid it.

"Yes, Syahdu. Don't cry. It's so bad to cry, I swear! Kayak granny."

I laughed at my stuffing. The cloud's tone made me laugh. But, I cried again and Cloud, she hugged me.

"I'd rather say I look like my grandmother."

The clouds only laughed lightly, "You must have suffered a lot all this time, right?" he said while patting my back gently.

"Do you know what we did when you were like this?"

I immediately took off the embrace of the Clouds. "Is there something here?"

"There was. A little far, anyway. You want?"

I thought a little, "Can I ask the others?"

"By, dong. But don't be a couple. My males are mosquitoes."

I chuckle.

"Okay, I'll take the others up the mountain. But really, right? I'm in the spirit, nih!" I said with a carefree tone even though the former tears were still very clear on my cheeks.

"Well, that's dong. Cheerful again, as usual Syahdu. I'll take care of everything. I'll tell you when you're ready."

I excitedly held both thumbs up. Then my smile faded again as I stared at the screen of my phone ringing.

Arga, he called me. He must be looking for me right now....
