"Of course not" Niko replied quickly, "whatever your decision is, I will support it."
"My son did not choose the wrong woman, other women must have used his wealth to hold a massive wedding."
They are currently talking while enjoying dinner.
"I agree with Wulan," added Angelina, "Indeed our family fortune will never run out of seven derivatives. But who knows in the future? Maybe now we are struggling with treasure. The next few years we don't know what our financial condition is."
Handoko downed the white water. "Many things I want to tell you. After dinner papa will convey what you want to say, papa wants Wulan to enjoy papa's baked fish tonight."
"I've always missed these grilled fish, Pa. In Manado I've tried some of the same menus. The look is the same. But, it feels different."
"That's the mystery of the kitchen, honey. Different hands, different taste."
After dinner, Handoko kept her promise to deliver what she wanted to say.
Angelina helps the waiter clean up the dirty dishes. Even though the owner of the house has forbidden, Angelina still does her wish.
"I'm used to doing all this. At home I was like this. What good is the predicate of housewives, if you can not clean the house."
Handoko did not argue anymore. Angelina's argument clearly made her aware not to argue. Currently Handoko was sitting in front of Niko and Wulan.
"Papa wants to ask you. This question is important for those of you who will soon build a household. This question applies to both of you. Do you know the cause of the affair?"
Niko looked at Wulan. "Ladies first."
"Everyone has their own perspective. They are also free to think. My opinion of it is a form of responsibility and responsibility that is out of sync."
"Example?" handoko Reply.
"Women who have no income will demand financially as a responsibility. It's universally not a responsibility, it's a husband's job to support his wife, isn't it? There's no way that Niko would marry me, but that would give me a living Papa or mama. If generally providing is a form of responsibility of the husband to the wife, what is it called if the husband of the person supports the wife of others?"
Handoko. He did not expect Wulan's thoughts to get there. The majority of women demand responsibility to their husbands financially, even though they know it is not a form of real responsibility.
"Different from women earning, they will not demand money from her husband. If money is a priority for them, no term money is not everything. Many of them do not realize, that money is not the main foundation in the household. An ungrateful wife will always consider her husband's income a little, so money will be a reason to make a debate between them. And not a few broken households just a matter of money."
Handoko smiled. "Thinking is above average. All the women know about it. But not all women realize it. That's right what you said, son. The form of accountability for each person is different. This is not only true for husbands and wives, it also applies to parents and children, as well as superiors and subordinates. The majority of parents consider facilities and money to be a form of responsibility to the child. And not a few we meet out there children who need the role of parents more directly than their money and facilities."
Niko.
Handoko smiled, while Wulan looked at her.
"Previously unemployed papa facilities and money are a form of parental responsibility towards children. In fact wrong, Niko needs more papa than all that. His life was more meaningful when papa came back and accompanied him here."
"That's the importance of communication" Niko added, "As your future husband, I want to ask one question for my future wife."
"Say," seduced Wulan.
Niko held Wulan's hand. "Are you ready to get married?"
"Of course."
"Do you know what the foundation of the household is?"
"You want to test my brain?"
"It's not the brain, to be the mother of my children, I have to find a woman who can educate them to be wise."
"Don't keep smiling, answer my question."
Handoko was happy to see them. The relationship that he had imagined would not be united was now back before him.
"Household is like an effort. Money is not the only capital to keep a business or relationship afloat."
"Money is not everything. But, everything needs money, right?" reply Niko.
Handoko laughs.
"I know," said Wulan, "But, what would happen if relationships were only based on money without communication, initiative and respect?"
Handoko.
"Many do not realize that communication, respect and initiative should be in the relationship. And it applies not only to households, families and work environments that require communication, initiative and respect."
Niko fell silent. He continued to look at Wulan as if he was amazed by the woman's answer.
"Imagine, what is the relationship between a child and a parent without communication? As children we must take the initiative to make parents happy. No need to do big things, surprise when parents birthday it's enough to make him smile."
Handoko.
"So in the work environment. What happens if the squad leader cannot establish good communication with the subordinates? What happens if the employee does not form a good communication to the customer? Do you think it is appropriate to be called husband and wife if there is no good communication between them?
"So is initiative. Sales demand high inisitive to sell their prodak to customers. Not only sales, employees who sit in the office must be initiative for the development of the company. The company does not belong to them. And even if they work only rely on salary without more contributions, when the boss is involved, who else will pay them ? Where does the money go to buy food?"
Niko wanted to hug Wulan. But, he refused it.
"I'm not done yet."
Handoko chuckles.
Wulan continued, "Last, respect .. as a superior, if you want to be respected, you have to respect first. Don't you think, Papa?"
"true."
"So also in the household," continued the wulan, "do not just want to be served, but do not want to serve."
Niko hugged Wulan and whispered, "I will serve you wholeheartedly. I'll make wet in the bathroom, bedroom, car, living room, and in the workspace."
Wulan's face was red.
Handoko chuckles. "You think you already understand what marriage means. If there is something you want for each other, whether in your relationship or work, reveal it and talk about it carefully. If it can't be resolved, find a solution along with a cold emotion."
"As a wife you shouldn't be selfish either, dear," added Angelina who suddenly appeared, "Don't because Niko spoils you, you don't take good care of her. You should take note of whatever menu he wants to eat every day. You must serve him well, as he served you. And remember, even if Niko forbids you from working, you should be making money yourself."
"That's not necessary, Mama," said Niko, "Wulan doesn't need to work. He's pretty much at home, taking care of me and the kids. Mama and Papa are old, I want us to live together in one house."
Wulan. "Mama's right, honey. His name is man, we do not know God's plan ahead of him. Not swear. But, if you get sick, our money runs out, and I have no income, who will buy rice and feed us?"
Niko hugged Wulan tightly. "I didn't choose my wife wrong. Thank you, Lord .. Thank you for sending Wulan for me."
