Wulan knew the question would come up. Sooner or later Ulan will surely find out his closeness to Niko.

All this time he was silent does not mean giving up, he values Ulan as his sister and Handoko as papa's friend.

Wulan took a breath and then reached out her hand. "Woman it's me, Ulan. The woman who helped and took Niko to the hospital was me."

"If you want to know when I knew Niko, I've known Niko since the accident. Unfortunately, the day after the incident I went straight out of town. So, I don't know what you're talking to papa about Niko."

"Om Handoko misunderstood, she thought your father was unmarried. He thinks you're his only son. It just so happens that our names are the same. So, as soon as Niko found out she liked me, Handoko said without asking again, went straight to papa and proposed about the matchmaking."

"Indeed, Niko didn't tell Brother about it?"

"He wanted to surprise me. That dinner time alone she kept it a secret from me."

Ulan. "Does papa know about this?"

"Possibly not yet, but Om Handoko will meet papa and clarify this misunderstanding."

Ulan felt guilty. "I was suspicious when Dad said he liked me, but he and I had never met."

After dinner Angelina and Jefry sat in the back garden. Angelina deliberately invited her husband there to discuss things that had made her curious.

"Jeff, has Handoko contacted you?"

"No, yet" Jefry put his coffee mug on the table. He looked at Angelina with eyebrows sticking out, implying interest, "Why are you asking her?"

"It's okay. Then, how was Niko and Ulan's marriage? When will the party be held? Then, why did Niko never take Ulan out together? Didn't Ulan ask you to find Niko's contact, did you give Niko's contact to Ulan?"

His wife's words made Jefry swallow. He had to find the right reason to answer the vulnerability of questions posed by Angelina.

"I'll see Handoko tomorrow. Regarding Niko's contact, I've sent him to Ulan. I don't know if they've communicated or not. The road together is their business. And as for the wedding, Handoko and I will decide tomorrow."

"This morning you're going to see Angelina, you're going to talk about your marriage to Wulan" Handoko said after sipping her thick black coffee, "If Angelina agrees, you don't mind if your marriage is simple?"

"No problem, Pa. I'm sure Wulan won't mind either. But, are you sure this will work? Aunt Angelina would have told that to Uncle Jefry. It's obvious she won't stay put, she'll definitely do everything she can to derail the marriage, Pa."

"That's what papa thought. Papa won't talk about marriage to Angelina. Papa just wants to explain the truth and wants to know Angelina's response. If he agrees, we'll do the marriage contract in secret."

"That's impossible, Pa. Wulan needs a guardian at the wedding."

"David and Magdalena, they can be Wulan's guardians if they want to."

Niko disagreed. Although his desire to marry Wulan was so great, he wanted the marriage to be known by the families of both parties.

"Papa just talk to Aunt Angelina. I'll talk to Wulan, too. If he agrees that our marriage is done secretly, we'll follow Papa's advice."

The atmosphere of breakfast at the Tanujaya family home was so quiet. Ulan who used to be so coquettish and always make the dining atmosphere always crowded, now looks moody. He stared more at the food than the faces around him.

Jefry understood. Ulan had asked her to contact Niko, but the contact was never given. He glanced at Angelina and did not want to discuss the contact.

"This afternoon papa will meet om Handoko. If there is no obstacle, you do not mind, if papa and om Handoko determine the date of the wedding?"

Jefry's words made the three of them shocked. Angelina looked at Jefry. Wulan stopped the chewing while staring at the plate.

Ulan with a hateful look looked at his papa. He wanted to reveal something, but those words seemed to be stuck in his throat. With emotion in him Ulan pushed the chair back then left the room.

Angelina said, "Why is he?"
