A Mate is Never Wrong

A Mate is Never Wrong
Pretends.

Right at that moment Handoko appeared in a nightgown. Thirsty and running out of water in the room, Handoko decides to go to the kitchen. In fact, he found the incident uncomfortable.

Handoko looked towards Darius and Brian who were standing not far from Niko. The two men just remained silent with their bodies standing firm.

"What's going on?" handoko asked them.

Their words were swallowed back when Niko threw the empty cup against the wall. His shards were thrown everywhere, making Handoko approach and hug her son.

"What happened to you, huh?"

Niko crying. "He betrayed me, Pa. He betrayed me."

Hearing those words sponta made Darius and Brian startled. They do not yet know what makes their boss' heart dark.

"The moon did not betray you. Did you talk to him, did you ask who the guy in the picture is?"

Handoko releases a hug then sits in front of Niko. He held back laughter at the messy condition of his son just because of women.

Not only Handoko, Brian and Darius felt the same way. This was the first time they had seen a man as strong as Niko cry just because of a woman.

"The number was inactive until now. He didn't even text me or call me. Should've been when their show was over, he called me, Pa. He didn't call me at all."

Handoko stared at Niko's broken phone. He shook his head to see that.

"How did papa contact him, while your cell phone is already so."

"Why call him?! Free to contact him, he already had another man. He doesn't love me anymore!"

After saying so Niko left them.

Handoko kept quiet without a word. He couldn't prevent Niko with the emotion she is now. He sat down and asked for coffee.

Magdalene, who had been standing there since hearing the shards of cups, rushed straight into the kitchen.

"I didn't think my son would cry like that" Handoko laughed, "I forgot to bring my phone and record it. He'll be embarrassed to see that."

Darius and Brian wanted to laugh, with great difficulty holding him back from making a sound. They were concerned about what Niko was going through, but the man's expression made them ticklish.

"Darius, it seems like today you have to take care of the office alone."

"No, sir."

Handoko took a breath. "Actually I wanted to talk about my plan and Rudi to Niko, but her current condition was not possible. Do you have any ideas for that?"

Darius and Brian looked at each other. Handoko had previously told them about the plan she had made with Rudi.

"I think, sir," said Darius, "it's good that Mr. Niko doesn't know about this, it will make Mr. Niko's emotions real and can manipulate Jefry. Jefry will think, that Rudi completely obliterated you, sir."

"What if Niko complies with her request to marry Ulan?"

"I will explain the truth to Mr. Niko," said Darius, "Let Mr. Niko come to Jefry first, after which I will explain the whereabouts of Mr."

Handoko agrees. "Brian, you prepare what I need today. Don't tell Niko about this."

"Ready, Sir."

"You know what you're gonna answer if Niko asks me where I am?"

"Ready, Sir."

In a cold room air-conditioned Wulan looks dreamy. The work that was before my eyes was ignored. No calls, no notifications from Niko made Wulan's mood so shattered.

'Did he not love me anymore, could he be waiting for my move to marry Ulan?'

Wulan's mind was so fucked up.

'Perhaps true, he was deliberately waiting for me to leave in order to get close to Ulan, there was no way he would hug Ulan for no reason. If there was a reason, why would they be together?'

Wulan's tears trickled down without realizing it. Unhealthy mind and heart make it uncontrollable.

"If there's a story problem, I'm ready to be your listener."

It just so happens that Deril's room is next to Wulan's. As he knocked on the room the woman did not hear him. He decided to enter and found Wulan crying.

"Sorry, I didn't know you were here. Since when are you in this room?"

Wulan tried to stabilize her voice and mind, but her heart was not friendly. She cries again, imagining Niko hugging Ulan.

"I knocked on the door many times, but you didn't hear it. Since I need the report now, I decided to go in. Sorry, it surprised you."

"I'm sorry, Mr. Deril. I really don't know."

"Don't apologize, you're not wrong. Anyway here's just the two of us, don't be formal with me."

Today was the second time that Wulan had set foot in that building. Wulan felt that something was strange from the first day she entered the building. He wanted to ask Deril that question, but his mood was not good anymore. Wulan decided to postpone it.

"It's lunchtime, why don't you go and have lunch outside?" ask Deril.

Wulan's appetite is gone. "I'm not hungry."

"If you need a friend to confide in, I'm ready to be your listener" Deril said then walked out.

"Wait," stop Wulan. Deril turned to look at her, "Don't you need a report, what report do you want?"

"It doesn't matter much, later."

Wulan was confused. He let the man out of the room and sat down.

Drtts... Drtts...

The incoming call shocked Wulan. He approached the table, grabbed the cell phone and saw the name of the caller. Seeing Angelina's name on the screen, Wulan smiled slightly and greeted her.

"Mama, how are you?"

"Good mother's news. You alone, how?"

"I-I'm fine. Oh, yeah, how's Ulan doing?"

Wulan deliberately discussed the topic of Ulan to find out about them.

I heard Angelina sniffing. "How many days did he come home drunk. It seems that his association is unhealthy. Fortunately there was Niko who was willing to drive him home how many days, otherwise he might have fallen prey to the striped men out there."

'Niko drove Ulan home ... Drunk ..., ' said Wulan in heart. He was really surprised, 'Why didn't Niko ever tell me?'

Wulan's suspicion of the forbidden relationship grew stronger.

"Why is Ulan drunk, Ma? It's not like he's never been drunk before. Is he maybe in trouble?"

"It just relieves stress. And fortunately, every time he gets drunk he meets Niko and Niko takes him. How many days ago she stayed at Niko's tempart. Last night Niko drove him again. Good thing there's Niko."

Wulan's heart hurts. Niko escorts Ulan without his knowledge ... Ulan stays at Niko's place drunk, which means they are ....

"Where did he meet Niko, Ma?"

"Say Niko at the nightclub. Coincidentally the club's owner was his friend."

'Evening clubs?' Wulan was again surprised, 'That means Niko goes to the nightclub often and doesn't tell me? Is this the reason he never activates his phone every night?'

Not wanting her tears to trickle down, Wulan immediately laughed and switched the conversation.

"Don't put it on hold, Mama. Let it be, he needs unhealthy association to compare which life lessons are good and not."

"Indeed, but it's too late. Moreover, he was hanging out with Viona. Niko warns Mama, to forbid Ulan from hanging out with her."

"Viona, who is she?"

"Her friend Ulan, but I don't know where. Her clothes were never polite."

'Niko knows her friend Ulan?' inner Wulan. Her curiosity was getting higher, "Mama, can give her contact Ulan, I want to talk to her. My old phone is broken, so I don't have Ulan's contacts on this phone."

"Mama will send it to you."
