The Hunter System

The Hunter System
Chapter 211 - Village of Mixed Creatures

On the way, not too much talk happened.

They were already very familiar before. However, after they met in this kind of human form, the two of them felt a bit awkward.

Due to the coincidence of walking behind Mina, Alvin finally noticed that Mina was walking by not setting foot on the ground covered with grass, moss and damp deciduous leaves.

"You're not a ghost, are you?"

Knowing why Alvin was asking that question, Mina answered him in a crisp tone, "I don't want my feet to get dirty."

"That's it..."

On the way, they encounter a large deer drinking by the river and Mina asks Alvin to stop their journey for a moment while he catches the deer, kills it, and skins it.

.........

'How to skin an animal is the same as when skinning a monster.'

Alvin admires Mina's very neat work.

The girl skinned the poor animal using a magic dagger and cleansed all her blood using magic as well until the animal's skin dried up very quickly.

After that, Mina made clothes, shoes and a sling bag of deer skin which she then wore.

Remnants of a piece of deer skin, he folded neatly and put it in a sling bag.

"Your clothes" said Mina, returning Alvin's pajamas.

Alvin receives his clothes back while admiring the stellan Mina now wears.

"You're talented to be a designer."

"really? Don't you like the Hunter Equipment I made?"

"When did I say I didn't like it? I said about the color, not the design."

"Tsk... Never mind. Let's continue the journey" said Mina who immediately turned and walked ahead of Alvin.

'Did he avoid a fight?'

......................

Alvin and Mina finally arrived at the edge of the forest, near the village they were heading to.

Mina then searched for the tallest tree around the edge of the forest, then climbed on top of it to monitor the situation inside the village.

"You don't have the skill to manipulate air?" ask Alvin astonished.

He thought, Mina certainly does not need to bother climbing trees if she has an airbender like herself.

'Is it because he doesn't have an airbender that he prefers to walk?'

"I don't have it. That's a special skill. In our lives, only Rimi has it."

"That's it..."

......................

Alvin and Mina finally monitored the situation inside the village from a distance.

Alvin was quite surprised when he saw that there were different types of races of living things that were in there.

Among them, there are creatures that on Earth are known by the names centaur, cyclop, orc, elf, lizardman, goblin, etc, the Minotaur and several other creatures he had never seen or encountered in a Dungeon.

"They live together? What planet is this really?" thought Alvin.

While Alvin was watching the villagers, Mina focused on watching the large and tall tower that stood right in the middle of the village.

"There are many powerful creatures there" said Mina slowly.

Alvin looked at the tower as well then nodded slowly.

"Let's go there. Maybe there's an angel who can open the gate to return to Earth."

"Yes, let's find out" said Mina as she raised her headscarf to cover her ears.

Mina thought, if those villagers could coexist with the elves, they would probably recognize her and Alvin as elves as long as they did not show the earlobe.

Paras and the appearance of elves are very similar to humans, except the tips of the ears are slightly longer and pointed.

Mina then opened her sling bag, taking out the remaining deer skin.

Then, at an astonishing speed, he produced a hat from the skin of the deer.

"Wear this and cover your ears."

"We're going to disguise ourselves as elves?"

"Yes. Come on."

Both of them came down from the tree and went to the path that would lead them to the village gate, which was surrounded by a high wall of wood.

Upon arriving at the gate, two goblins who looked like gatekeepers stopped them and spoke a language that Alvin had heard but did not understand because the Rimi System was not working.

Alvin and Mina looked at each other.

None of them understood what the goblins were saying.

But, before long, Mina opened her mouth and spoke to the two goblins in a language that Alvin felt was similar to the one the two goblins had used.

Mina and the two goblins exchanged a few more sentences before they pulled over and gave way to Alvin and Mina to be able to enter the village.

"Do you understand their language?" ask Alvin curious.

Mina looked up and stared at him for a while while smiling stiffly. But, Mina did not answer what Alvin asked.

.........

The two crossed paths with creatures from different types of races as they had seen from a distance earlier.

Unlike what Alvin was worried about, the creatures seemed to ignore them completely.

Other than not paying attention to them, all the creatures that happened to cross paths also did not glance at the two of them at all.

"Did our disguise work?" thought Alvin.

After the two arrived at a place some distance away from the crowd, Mina stopped her footsteps.

"What's wrong?"

"I just want to remind you. Please don't talk about anything as long as there are other people around. Understood?"

"Are they going to be suspicious because I can't speak their language?"

Mina nodded.

"alright. But, aren't we here just to investigate the tower in the middle of the village?"

"Yes. Let's go over there."

Mina walks again ahead of Alvin and as before, Alvin prefers to walk behind Mina instead of having to walk side by side with her.

After walking for a while, Alvin was somewhat surprised when Mina chose to turn and go away from the main road that should have taken them directly to the tower they were headed.

Just as she was about to follow up to ask, Mina suddenly stopped her footsteps.

He followed the direction Mina looked at and found a simple building standing there with a name plate on its doorstep.

"What's wrong with her?" thought Alvin. He was about to ask, but abandoned his intention because there were many villagers walking around.

Mina silently watched the simple house for a while before finally returning to continue her journey.

After spending about 20 minutes on foot, the two finally arrived in front of a tall tower that had a huge building body width.

Mina spoke to the lizardman who was standing guard in front of the tower gate for a while before finally inviting Alvin into the tower.

'He can speak in the lizardman language as well?'

.........

When he arrived at the tower, Alvin saw that there were many creatures from different races who were gathering and seemed to be talking very seriously.

From each of those beings, he could feel a fairly abundant aura of Mana energy.

Each of them even had Mana energy that almost matched the Mana Cyntia energy before obtaining the Mana energy capacity increase from Anna and Miyuki.

Except for the beings who were sitting quietly in the corner of the room and seemed to be watching the talk of a stronger creature with a lethargic look and looked very uninspired.

'Huh?! Them, right...'

Alvin turned to Mina as the girl suddenly grabbed her wrist.

"They..."

Mina shook her head slowly, understanding what Alvin was thinking.

"Shut up..," said Mina in a very quiet voice.
