Alvin felt a little annoyed that he had not had time to complete his daily quest, after hours of agreement to conduct an illegal raid between himself and Lawrence's raid team had almost arrived.
"And a little bit more level twenty-one" muttered Alvin, throwing his new phone on the bed.
Despite this, he ended up bathing and went to the location of the Dungeon gate in great haste.
The Dungeon Gate he was heading to was some distance from the city center and required him to walk into the forest through a very slippery path, after a bus stop.
The location of the gate is on a hillside that is difficult to reach by land vehicles. That was why many small guilds were unwilling to buy his raid rights.
The Association was also seen ignoring the Dungeon's gate. Other than because of its location, it was also a low-ranked Dungeon that could be put aside as its gate barrier magic would still be open in another half a month.
......................
Unlike an official raid, when Alvin arrived at the location of the gate, he did not find any official hunters from the Association guarding the location.
There, he only met a dozen hunters who would raid with him later.
"You're Alvin?" greet a hunter as he sees Alvin just coming out of the woods through the path.
"Yes. Lawrence invited me to join," said Alvin politely.
The man then invites Alvin to shake hands. He also introduced Alvin to other hunters who welcomed him with less interest.
"Now it's complete, right?" ask a man who looks the same age as Alvin.
"Yes," said the man who had greeted Alvin, "Let's get his mining gear. We'll go in now," he asked later.
All the hunters picked up the huge backpacks and stone-breaking gear they usually used to mine magic crystals. Then, as if they were used to conducting the illegal raid, those who were ready with all the equipment, went straight to the Dungeon gate.
Meanwhile, Alvin approaches the man who greeted him earlier, who looks several years older than him.
"Master hunter,"
The man looked at Alvin and laughed.
"We're not an official team, just call my name. Raymond," said the man later. "Or you can just call me Ray."
"Ah, y-yeah..."
"Is there anything you want to ask?"
"I didn't see Lawrence." Alvin Sahut.
"Oh, he had a little accident. I just met him this morning and he seems to have a hard time walking."
"Accident?"
"Say, the car he was driving rolled over while avoiding the oncoming person breaking the red light."
"What?" Alvin was a little confused about that.
"Funny, right? How could a D rank hunter seem to be seriously injured just because of a traffic accident?"
The man then laughed again.
Alvin agreed too. To his knowledge, a hunter with a rank like Lawrence would not experience any problems even if it had a collision though.
"Did he and his car get into the abyss?" ask Alvin curious. It might be able to make a hunter seriously injured if the gap is deep. Otherwise, bruises will be very easily healed by a Healer or by consuming health potions.
Raymond laughed again.
"He was in an accident in the middle of town. Where could there be a ravine there?"
At that moment, someone called out to them, as only the two of them were still not seen wanting to enter the gate while the other fellow was already inside the Dungeon.
"Oh sorry. I'll be here soon." Raymond. He then turned back to Alvin, "You're coming in, right?"
Because the payment has been given as much as 75%, Alvin certainly could not refuse it. "certain." Alvin, who then followed Raymond to the gate.
......................
The team leader who was already waiting for their arrival near the gate, inside the Dungeon, instantly divided that team into 5 small teams. Because all the hunters were 20 people, so in one team there were 4 people.
"In the backpack you carry there is a supply of rations for three days. Remember our job, right? We just need to fill our backpacks to the brim with magic crystals, then we get out of this Dungeon" he said, staring at Alvin who was the only new person on the team.
"If the backpack is not full and the food stock is up, anyone should just get out. Don't risk starvation just to meet the target. Understood?"
All the hunters nodded silently to acknowledge him. Not because they did not want to, they just did not want their voices to invite monsters that might be located not far from the current location of the team's existence.
"Remember, never come into contact with monsters. If you happen to meet them, you better hide or run. Although this is only a D-ranked Dungeon, being careful will be better" the team captain said, reminding.
The team finally spread out, searching for the location of the magic crystal's existence.
......................
After walking for 1 hour, Alvin's team finally found a magic crystal location.
They then investigated the circumstances around to see how safe the location was. As they did not discover the existence of monsters there, the four hunters finally began to hoe at the magic crystals attached to the rock.
Without them thinking, Alvin who is thin can dig very well and quickly. In fact, they can see how good Alvin's stamina is, making it seem like it doesn't put too much effort into work.
Because of Alvin too, the magic crystal that was in that place ran out in just 1 hour.
"You're amazing" praised one of the hunters as he looked at Alvin with a look of amazement.
"But I hear you are very weak for this kind of physical affair" said another hunter, also with a look of amazement. He was not insulting Alvin. It was also a word of praise, though it resembled a mockery.
From his tone of speech, Alvin knew the hunter was praising him. So, Alvin scratched the back of his head with a blushed face.
.........
As they were busy chatting, from a direction, appeared several hunters with full weaponry in hand.
Alvin who realized their presence, became the first person to immediately turn to the 7 hunters who came closer.
Alvin was so surprised when he saw the ferocious-looking hunters running over. Especially when I saw Lawrence among them.
"Lawrence?"
Lawrence, who had bruises in several locations on his face, stopped his footsteps when he was a few meters in front of Alvin. He then looked at the 3 other hunters standing near Alvin, then tilted his head at them.
The three hunters seemed to understand what Lawrence meant. They also went away.
Alvin saw the situation and became suspicious. He knew something was wrong in this situation.
"What's this?" alvin asked, staring at Lawrence with his eagle gaze.
Lawrence took a deep breath, before finally responding to the question.
"Sorry buddy. I really want to work with you. But you know, Brondy Lewis has strong people behind him. I had to do this because I still love my life." Said Lawrence, who then coded 6 of his comrades to attack Alvin.
"'Damn, again Brondy Lewis! If it was because of the hit hunter who had magic energy anyway, it was certain that his face would be bruised like that," muttered Alvin, who finally knew what accident actually befell Lawrence.
Alvin knew Brondy and his father's followers must have attacked the man for revenge, because Lawrence had humiliated him at the Academy's gates.
