"Actually..., what happened?" cyntia asked, after they sat quietly for quite a while in the car. He saw Alvin seemed less excited when he had just conquered an S rank Dungeon.
If other hunters were to do that, they would definitely be excited even most of them instantly feel great and end up having a conceited attitude throughout the rest of their lives, like 12 highly respected SS rank hunters in that world.
Alvin turned to Cyntia and forced a smile.
"It's okay..."
"But.., you've been looking pretty grim ever since I came to your location."
"I'm just a little tired."
Cyntia scrunched her eyebrows together. What Alvin said is clearly untrue. He saw no fatigue on the man's face other than frustration.
"So..," muttered Cyntia. He smiled and then spoke again. "Are we going straight back to City S?"
"Oh... I almost forgot. Can we go to where I used to live?"
"certain. Just enter the location on the navigation system. I don't know the street of this city" said Cyntia.
He then smiled when he saw Alvin only realized that they had only been circling near the gate area they had just closed.
"Sorry..."
"No problem... Oh... If I may know, who is that little girl talking to me?"
'Dead me...'
......................
"You didn't see Alvin coming out of the gate, did you?" vina asked worriedly when she saw that the gate was closed without seeing any hunters coming out of the gate first.
"Don't worry. It's not the first time" said Jack, who smiled at him.
Jack is with Vina because he has been asked by Alvin to take Vina and her two confidants, Raymond and Thomas, out of T City while he is about to go to the Dungeon.
They were currently in a villa in S City that Thomas had rented for the refuge during T City in a dangerous situation from the threat of Dungeon Break.
"Jack's right, you don't have to worry, boss! Our supply team leader has a lot of expertise" exclaimed Raymond, who had just returned from the mini bar, carrying a bucket of whiskey bottles and a few cups to celebrate Alvin's success in overcoming the Dungeon.
"You're not entertaining me, are you?" vina asked, staring at the three men around her in turn.
"Trust your sister, Miss CEO," Thomas said as he greeted the tray of cups Raymond handed to her.
Vina still doubted their words at first. But, when he got a message from Alvin, his face finally returned to beaming.
"What's that message from Alvin?" ask Jack.
Vina nodded quickly. "Yes. They're in the bungalow now."
"good. But what about the product?" thomas asked, feeling a little worried because he had received many requests for armor sets from many large guilds in City T, as well as other cities around him. He has even received a sample request from abroad.
"Don't worry about it" said Vina. He looked at Raymond. "You and your men seem to have to work extra hard from tomorrow" Vina said, showing the photo Alvin sent her.
Raymond was silent for a while after seeing the stack of neatly arranged sets of armor throughout the central space of the bungalow.
But, actually, it was not the pile of armor sets that made him speechless. The tight-fitting beautiful woman who was accidentally photographed was what made her speechless.
"Is he our new officer?" ask Raymond.
Vina looked at the photo and laughed.
"How can we pay him? You know the Maxwell family, right?"
Raymond nodded.
"He's the heir to the Maxwell family."
"What-what?!"
"Wow... This is a new kind again?!" thomas exclaimed with sparkling eyes, after Vina lent him her phone to show him a photo of the new set of armor. He was not even too interested in the beauty of women in the photos. "I'm curious. Who exactly is the forger? He can make a good design also with quality that is no less good..."
"Shut up!" jack said suddenly, cutting Thomas's sentence. He sensed a huge amount of magic energy coming closer from the direction of the front gate of the villa.
Just as Jack stood up to check who the owner of the magic energy was, the main door of the villa was already shattered the moment someone kicked him.
"Damn! Ray, take Vina away!" jack exclaimed as he looked at who had just appeared in the doorway.
Although they did not live in the same City, Jack knew who the well-dressed man with the cigar in his mouth was looking straight at Vina as soon as he entered the villa.
"Is she Vina Rufino?" duncan asked, with a wide grin, showing his yellow teeth.
......................
"Well, they must have been happy after I sent the picture, right? They didn't even ask me," Alvin said with a frown. He then threw his phone at the table when he did not receive another reply from Vina.
"Will he come back straight away? I didn't get to talk to him much because the situation wasn't supportive. He also went straight back to City T after driving us to your house back then."
"I don't know. He hasn't returned a message yet" Alvin said as he took out the set of armor piled up in the inventory window, then handed it to Cyntia who helped him to arrange all the items very neatly.
Cyntia nodded, then looked at the set of armor that Alvin had just handed to her.
"So, that little girl's curious ghost can make you keep all this stuff?" ask Cyntia again.
When Cyntia asked him earlier, somehow the idea to say that Mina's voice was the voice of a curious spirit that had been following her, just flashed through her mind. Fortunately, Cyntia immediately believed.
"Yes. He was an old-time hunter spirit who died of curiosity."
Cyntia nodded with a plain face. "Have he ever been a hunter from Japan?" ask again.
"Yes? Why do you think that?"
"Look..," said Cyntia, while lifting the armor to the front of her body. "The design looks like the armor of an ancient samurai, right? She also has a name similar to a Japanese woman's name. Mina."
Alvin nodded slowly. Whether it was true or not, it was certain that the problem had been solved and Cyntia seemed to have a deep trust in him.
"Maybe... I never really asked where it came from."
"You should have asked him. Isn't that a little disrespectful? And he helped you make all this, and the costumes we wear."
"..."
'Does the System have a home country as well?'
["I'm not in the mood to talk to you,"] Mina said in a sullen tone. He was a bit upset after Alvin called himself a wandering spirit.
'...'
"Alvin?"
"Yes?"
"By the way..., can I take a bath here?"
"Yes?"
"..."
"Oh, sure... Sure oes. Come on, I'll take you to.." Alvin stared at the guest room door Raymond or Thomas used to use when they were staying at his bungalow. "Let's follow me" said Alvin as he walked first to the stairs that would take them to the second floor.
"This is Vina's room" said Alvin, opening the door.
"It's okay if I use the bathroom? I'm pretty grateful if you'd like to lend me a guest bathroom."
"No problem" said Alvin quickly. She would rather Cyntia use her brother's room than have to use the room Raymond and Thomas had occupied. "Some, we'll stay the night today. Unless you want to come back soon."
"No. Let's stay the night."
"..."
"I-I take a shower first," said Cyntia slowly, then entered in a hurry to Vina's room while carrying a suitcase containing her clothes.
