The Painting 'Speak with Vagia'

Early in the morning, Sean is awakened by a ring from his phone. One used a phone call from Ellinden Gallery to contact Sean and when Sean answered the call, Hendri was the one who contacted Sean. 

From the phone he used, it was described that the glasses guy was in the gallery. Hendri told Sean to come to the gallery immediately, even he did not give Sean the opportunity to refuse or ask why. It can be seen that he is in trouble.

The moment after the call closed, Sean stared at the clock and his face was made expressionless.

Still at 3am, how could someone call and tell him to come to the gallery, even Sean did not think of getting compensation money for this. 

There was no benefit for Sean to fulfill his obligation as an assistant curator at Ellinden Gallery, but he had to do it if he didn't want Rift Ellinden to sue him and in the end Sean's father would step in to handle his son.

“Better I didn't pick up that phone,” furious Sean regretted it.

He forced the man to step down from the bed and prepare to leave. Without bathing and only had time to wash his face, then cover the plain suit he wore with a jacket. His appearance implies that he is looking down on his work.

After getting a taxi, Sean went into the gallery. It was so dark and looked like it was uninhabited. Sean looked around the parking lot, but not a single vehicle was parked. There should be one Hendri's car left in that place.

Sean seems unsure if Hendri is in the gallery, but when he uses the gallery number makes Sean a little consider his suspicions so Sean took the initiative to find the key to enter the security room.

In the room, a security official said that the door had been opened, and a curator was working late in the day. Hearing that answer Sean wanted to chuckle at Hendri's hard work, but he couldn't do it blatantly and immediately caught up with the man inside.

Sure enough, in his room, Hendri seemed to sort out the files that would be prepared for the upcoming exhibition.

His face looked pale with dark circles in his eyes. She looked thinner than Sean had seen her last time.

Not only that, the atmosphere of his office space was so chaotic, documents were strewn about irregularly, mineral water packs and empty ready-to-eat meals were lying on the table. The smell of cigarettes came from the room.

This time Hendri not only used his fox expression to work, but he worked hard for it.

“Is there anything you need to make me come here" Sean said with his complaints. Hendri who was aware of the arrival of Sean suddenly looked up. “Even the sun has not yet risen, what do I want to do for you?”

Unconcerned about his previous job, Hendri puts down the documents and leaves the table to turn to Sean. 

As if seeing a savior, Hendri's hand immediately grabbed Sean's shoulder.

“I need your help,” said Hendri with a look of despair. “Please persuade a painter to give one of his works to gallery.”

Hendri also told of a work ‘Speak with Vagia' where the painter suddenly canceled his contract. Though the exhibition will take place in the near future, there will be no time to look for other painters who have masterpieces in them. That would make the Ellinden Gallery lose face if it didn't get it.

High self-esteem is a hallmark of Ellinden who does not want a single piece of work targeted can not be a gallery collection. Ellinden would be satisfied if the ranks of the works of famous painters hung on the walls of the gallery.

For him, the work of a famous painter will make a great name for his gallery and this is opposite to Sean's mission. Not the big name Sean wanted for their work, but the work itself.

"You said 'Speak with Vagia'? I think I've heard it." 

Sean thought a little and remembered something, but before he found anything in his memory, Hendri first replied.

"It was a phenomenal work by one of the most famous painters - Darren Elizer" Hendri said with a serious expression.

Darren Elizer is a Japanese painter who does not carelessly give his paintings. Only in selected galleries did he believe in exhibiting his work.

For some reason the big name of Ellinden Gallery did not influence his decision, he was completely different from other painters who judged his work to be on display at the Ellinden Gallery. However, on the occasion of this move, Darren Elizer refused without thinking.

Sean repeated the name 'Speak with Vagia' repeatedly in his mind. Not because the painting was a masterpiece by Darren Elizer, but Sean had heard it somewhere.

The successful experience of getting work from Najwa Wong was not a good experience for Sean, although he managed to do his job well, but Hendri himself who got the achievement.

Sean's inner voice was giggling, but unfortunately Hendri could not hear it so he was sure that Sean would do whatever he wished.

It didn't matter for Sean to reject her, but 'Speak with Vagia' was the painting he was looking for. That's what made Sean smile at the plan in his head

Before Sean did his job as an assistant curator, Hendri wrote down Darren Elizer's address on a small piece of paper and gave it to Sean. That's where Sean's going.

In the taxi to the address written by Hendri, Sean again confirmed 'Speak with Vagia'.

"Identify the mission" Sean said softly so he felt safe because the driver in front did not listen to him.
