118. The incident at Parkiran Mall

When he returned to his desk, Rico immediately got an unpleasant look from his wife and sister-in-law. He looked confused when he looked at it like that.

"Why do you see me like that?" asked Rico in surprise.

Not getting an answer, Rico was again confused. He wondered inwardly what made the two women to look at him so intently like that.  But when he realized that he had just spoken to Calista, he began to guess if the two women in front of him were angry with him because of it.

"Darling, you saw me talking to Calista?" asked Rico doubtfully.

"Oh, so her name is Calista?" marissa said suddenly.

And really, he guessed, when Rico heard Marissa's words he immediately exhaled heavily.

"God. Sis, I actually accidentally met Calista there. He was the one who rebuked me first" Rico told Marissa. 

"Why should explain it to me. Explain it to your wife" said Marissa with a little indifference, then the woman focused on Lala returning to feed her.

Rico looked back at him Alina who put up a flat woman. From the look on his face, Rico is very afraid if Alina misunderstands him because she saw him with Calista.

Now Rico feels guilty for having copied Calista's chat even if only briefly. 

"Darling, I actually accidentally met him there. She came to me just to congratulate you on your pregnancy, that's all. I didn't talk much about him either, just thanked him for his congratulations" said Rico, who tried to explain that his wife was no longer angry with him.

"Congratulations?" alina said as she raised one of her eyebrows.

"Yes. If you don't believe it, we can meet him again to make sure–"

"Why see him again?" sideline Alina quickly. "You deliberately want to see him again and have a chat? Are you not satisfied with talking?"

Rico closed his eyes while biting his lower lip. Again, he had a mispronunciation that made his wife misunderstand.

"Dear, that's not what it means. We met him so that you do not misunderstand what you saw earlier. I swear, I had no intention of talking to him. Did you see me smiling at him? No" right? I'm really just grateful for her congratulations on your pregnancy, that's all, nothing more." 

Rico was completely misbehaved by his jealous wife. From the beginning to know Alina until now, only this time Rico saw his wife was jealous of him to all her. He knew that his wife was not the jealous type of woman. But for some reason today only chatted for a while with Calista, his wife was jealous of him. Is it because of her pregnancy that makes the woman's hormones change? 

"Already ah, you continue to reason from earlier, I became lazy," said Alina while sliding her food plate to be eaten immediately. 

Rico who saw his wife as if indifferent to him was really confused. He no longer knew how to persuade his wife, he had spoken honestly but Alina still did not believe his words. Rico continues to apologize to Alina even though she ignores him and focuses on his food. 

While Alina herself, she enjoyed the dishes brought by her husband while holding a smile. Alina knew that Rico could not possibly accidentally chat with her ex-boyfriend, let alone the unpleasant memories that made her dislike all the women she had come into contact with. 

But because she wants to avenge her husband's insolence, Alina and Marissa also plan to pretend to sulk at Rico for talking to other women besides her. Alina did not expect that this pleasant water made her husband anxious because of his ugliness.

Today Alina and Rico plan to go to a shopping center to buy the needs of their future children. Although there are still about 4 months left Alina gave birth, but they are looking forward to doing the fun activities. In addition to buying the needs of her child, Alina also wants to have a little fun outside to drive away boredom because of her busy at the office every day is tiring. 

An hour before lunch, Alina and Riko were already on their way to the nearest mall. They purposely go at this hour in order to enjoy lunch outside and be able to go home in the afternoon. Rico did not allow Alina to return home late from 06.00 pm because of the condition of his wife who is currently two-bodied. Rico wants Alina to take a full night's rest and not to repress her energy for anything less important. 

After arriving inside the Mall's parking lot, Alina and Rico get out of the car immediately. Alina who got off first without waiting for her husband to pick her up almost got hit by a speeding car in the back of her car. If only a woman did not immediately encourage its growth, it might be that Alina was now drenched in blood. 

Alina who was surprised also shouted spontaneously, making Rico who had just closed his car door immediately ran to approach his wife. 

"Darling, aren't you papa?" asked Rico anxiously. 

Alina who realized that nothing had happened with her shook her head. Then his gaze fell on the woman who had pushed him and was now sitting on the floor.

"Mas, that woman" Alina said, pointing at the woman.

Rico looked at the woman his wife pointed at. When he saw a woman sitting on the floor grimacing in pain, he immediately approached her and followed Alina from behind.

"Miss, aren't you papa? Jesus, you're hurt" Rico said worriedly as he looked at the woman's arm and leg. 

"Let's just take him to the hospital. Poor him, I'm afraid the wound will get worse if not treated immediately," said Alina gave advice.

Rico agrees, saying he wants to lead the woman into his car, but she quickly refuses because she does not want to be taken to the hospital.

"No need, Mom, I'm not papa. Only minor injuries can be treated at home" the woman said.

Indeed, the woman only had scratches on her arms and knees, but even so Rico and Alina still could not bear to let her just go home with a wounded state. Moreover, the wound on his knee made his pants torn and the scratches on his arm were quite long. 

"Your wounds are long enough, later fear of infection if not treated immediately. Come on, let's go to the hospital. You take it easy, all our costs are responsible," said Rico. He was again about to help the woman stand up, but the woman still rejected his good intentions of wanting to take responsibility. 

"No need, Mas. Although you want to be responsible, at least the person who brought the car did it, not you."

Hearing the woman's words, Rico realized that the man who almost hit his wife and the woman had now run away. He should have first chased the car earlier so that he could soon be held accountable.

But because he thought the person who brought the car had not come out of the Mall area, Rico immediately ran towards the exit parking lot. With information in the form of the type of car and license plate on his vehicle, Rico ran looking around the mall area. He hoped that the man who almost harmed his wife was still there so that he could hold her accountable.

As far as Rico was concerned, Alina helped the woman to stand up and put her body in her car seat. While waiting for Rico to return, Alina retrieves a bottle of mineral water that she accidentally brought from home to wash the woman's wounds. 

"Aw," the woman's ringis as her wound was exposed to water.

"I'm sorry, because it helped me, you got hurt like this" Alina said.

"No papa, Ma'am. It is appropriate for us as fellow human beings to help each other. Anyway, I'd feel so guilty if I didn't help Ma'am earlier. Moreover, Ma'am is pregnant at this time, surely the wound would be worse today if I did not help Ma'am." 

Alina Smile. It seemed like he was very lucky to meet that woman today. If not, it might be true he said, the wound he would get from this incident might not just be a scratch. Imagining that, Alina became very scared.

"No need, Ma'am. Then I'm going home, later when at home the wound can be treated immediately."

"By the way, where do you live? Shall we just take it?" ask Alina at once offer.

"My house is not far from here. I've got a bike, so you don't have to bother."

"You got a motor? How do you carry it, while your leg is hurt like this? We just take it, yes, the bike we will deliver to your house."

"Not bother, Ma'am. I can do it myself."

"Are you seriously okay?" ask Alina who came back to make sure.

"Yes, Mother. I've even had more injuries than this, so Ma'am calm down" said the woman with a smile, as if to show that she was completely fine in front of Alina.

"Oh yes, by the way your name is ready" Alina asked as she extended her hand to shake hands.

"My name is Elis, Ma'am."

"I'm Alina. You work in the mall here, Elis?" alina asked when she realized the shirt behind the jacket the woman was wearing was like a uniform.

"Yes, I'm selling at one of the jewelry stores inside, Ma'am."

Not yet finished the chat the two women, now look Rico walked up to them. The man was visibly bored after running after a car that almost hit his wife. 

"Where, Mas? Did you meet the guy?" alina asked after her husband managed to catch his breath.

Rico shook his head.

"No, Honey. He lost his car, maybe he's gone."

"It's okay, ma'am. Maybe I was given the same test as God. Then I say yes, Ma'am," said Elis while standing. 

"Where are you going? Let's go to the hospital first" said Rico who made Elis stop. 

"No need, Mas. I just go home, will be treated at home kok same mother," declined Elis for the umpteenth time.

"But we don't feel good about you. You saved my wife, when I was quiet?"

"No papa, Mom. Let's just say Mbak Alina is lucky because it is equated by me. Then I go yes, Ma'am, Mas."

"Wait a minute" Rico said quickly.

Elis again stopped his steps and looked at the man. He looked at Rico who reached into his pants pocket and pulled out the wallet from there. When Rico pulls the money out of his wallet, Elis suspects that the man wants to give him money.

"This is for you, make medicine. Please accept yes," said Rico while extending some money to Elis.

And sure enough, his guess. Since he really did not intend to receive a reply from the two men, Elis again had to refuse help from Rico. 

"No need, Mas. I really am okay. It's just a minor wound, treated with medicine by, one week also the wound will disappear."

"Elis, please accept the money. At least if you do not want us to take it to the hospital, accept this gift from us," said Alina also with a little force. 

Elis was silent for a moment when he saw the seriousness of the two people. Because of feeling bad, then Elis also received money from Rico by force. He never received any reward from anyone for the good he had done. And today somehow it feels bad to refuse the kindness of Alina and Rico for the umpteenth time. Elis felt that Alina would feel guilty for him if he did not accept the money.

"Sir Alina, thank you very much. I really don't intend to ask for the same rewards. I wrote to help Ms. Alina. It just so happened that my sister-in-law was also pregnant, so I positioned Mbak Alina as my sister-in-law while helping Mbak."

"We know you're good, Elis, but we also want to take responsibility for what happened to you."

Elis smiled happily at Alina's words. They're really good people. He was very lucky to have met them today. Elis felt that behind the calamity that kept him today, there was a pleasure that God gave him through Alina and Rico. It just so happened that he was in need of money and his payday was still long. With the money given by Rico and Alina, he was able to use the money for his immediate needs. 

Feeling that he must leave immediately, Elis immediately said goodbye to go from there. Lest any of his co-workers see him still in the parking lot, while since half an hour ago he has been allowed to go home early because of an urgent problem forcing him to go home.

Seeing Elis' departure, Alina sighed while stroking her enlarged stomach.

"It turns out there are still people as good as Elis huh, Mas. I could see from the look on his face and the way he spoke that he was genuinely helpful, without expecting anything in return."

Rico smiled at his wife. 

"God has been kind to us, dear. He deliberately brought in Elis to help you and our son from the incident."

Alina smiled and allowed it. God is good to them. If God hadn't brought Elis back then, I don't know what would have happened to Alina and her womb. 

"Oh yeah, you're really okay, aren't you?" asked Rico again while stroking his wife's stomach and checking around her body.

"No papa, Mom. Elis was just a little pushing me to the back of the car, so it was just my back that jolted behind the car" Alina explained.

"Thank God then. But tomorrow we have to keep checking into the hospital, baby. Even if you say no papa, I don't want us to be late."

Because she did not want to make her husband feel uncomfortable with his condition, Alina also agreed. He learns from the past, does not want to underestimate the little things that will have a big impact on them.

"So, do we still want to shop?" rico asked his wife.

"So dong.'m not okay. Come on," said Alina while holding her husband's hand.

Rico agreed and they immediately entered the mall to continue their initial intention of coming to the mall who wanted to shop for their children later.
