GREY MARNI

GREY MARNI
Songs for Andin

Rudi stood in front of his room, he looked south with a smile. Rudi recalled how his father and mother were now, what they were doing and whether they had eaten.

Rudi felt the turmoil of longing for his parents. It has been in the overseas for a long time. Rudi did not think that his journey would be this long and would be as comfortable as this.

He smokes cigarette smoke, exhaling it with a sigh of relief along with his longing. He had not thought about going home even though for now he had a lover who he had started to love wholeheartedly.

That afternoon was so quiet, though there was the sound of a horn from a distance off the highway. The black birds were flying here and there as if they were inviting to play Rudi.

Rudi looked up at the sky and then he heard the ringtone of his little cell phone that he put in his room. Turns out it was a message from Andin, he wanted to call. Rudi replies to the message and invites Andin to call. Not long after that Andin called and Rudi picked him up.

"What's wrong?" Ask Rudi from behind the phone.

"Eat already?" Andin asked back.

"Not yet, just got home from work. Where are you?"

"Home home, you wanna come here?"

"Hahaha, no."

"Have you eaten?"

"Eating the hahaha wind."

"Long time no see you, I miss you"

"Hahaha just miss it? Not meet?"

"Tomorrow to buy a motorbike ah! Let me pick you up."

"Hahaha, there's no need, I'm the one who's there."

"Now?" Rusty asked.

"You want now? Like I have no more work."

"No need, it was only three days ago that we met."

They were just chatting quietly on that phone. There is no important discussion other than pleasantries between lovers as in general.

Rudi then took a guitar, he was about to comfort Andin from the mobile phone.

Quiet songs to comfort an exhausted lover. Andin listened in silence, he enjoyed the melody that Rudi made for him.

"Can you make a song?" Andin asked after a long period of silence and listened.

"No idea, I never did"

"Oh well"

Rudi smiled at Andin's voice which seemed to be hoping to make a song for her. Rudi did not say anything about Andin's attitude, he only thought of making a song for his lover one day.

"An, someday we'll be alone on the beach and I'll sing you a special song." Rudi said amuseingly.

"Hahaha, wait."

Rudi sang again, this time a foreign-language song. An English song full of love lyrics.

"I don't speak English."

"Hahaha, it's okay. I love this song and you'll love it too."

"Oos... Oo... My angel's..."

Rudi sang the song very eloquently. He closed his eyes, lived every story in it.

The sun sank after accompanying them for quite a long time. The day was getting dark, the urban lights began to decorate the coming night. The stars began to show beauty.

"Yes, I'm going to take a shower" Andin said.

"Alright we have arrived here, more or less I apologize and hopefully your trip will be launched"

"Hahaha, keep carrying the hat behind carrying the muters to fill people"

"Hahaha, have you ever been on a bus?"

"Not yet."

"Never been at all?"

"Early, but a charter bus is not an inter-city bus."

"Hahaha, we'll take the bus together sometime."

"Maybe I'm gonna throw up hahaha..."

"I'm going to take a shower. Chest baby..." Continue Andin who then turned off his phone before Rudi could say something.

After the phone from Andin closed, Rudi rushed to take a shower and removed the smell of sweat on his body had begun to smell unpleasant aroma, let alone the smell of his armpits clean of hair.

After the shower, he came out of the room. It was night and dark. It did not feel like he had been chatting with Andin for several hours over the phone.

He did not see Laura, usually women will come out of the house and relax in front of his house after the adhan reverberated.

The man looked like he was not having a fun activity and was getting bored. He hoped Laura would leave the house and he would come to him for a cup of coffee and a piece of the story.

Rudipun was tired of waiting and decided to enter again into the room. But just as he was about to enter his room, Rudi saw Laura coming out of the house. Rudi smiled.

"The beloved granddaughter of Laura-pun arrived" muttered Rudi.

He then rushed to Laura who had been sitting casually in front of his house with warm milk and some newspapers. The woman read the newspaper quietly as if she did not care if the world would end. Very calm.

"Ra" Call Rudi after being in front of Laura's gate.

Laura then lowered the person she was holding and saw who was calling her while disturbing her calm.

"What's up Rud?"

Rudi took a step to sit down.

"You need to coffee" said Rudi after sitting down.

"Make it yourself, I'm already in a good position to relax."

"All right"

Rudi then moved on and entered Laura's house, while Laura continued reading the newspaper.

After a while, Rudi came out with a glass of black coffee that he did not add any sugar in.

"What news is it?" Tanya Rudi started the conversation.

"Start, wait..."

Laura did not answer Rudi's question, she continued reading the newspaper with a serious look on her face with her right eyebrow raised.

Rudi brewed the coffee he had just made, he waited for Laura to finish reading and chose not to disturb the widow.

"Why can Indonesia have this much debt?" Laura muttered while remaining focused on her newspaper.

Rudi still did not respond to Laura's words earlier.

"For example, you could be President Rud. What will you do for Indonesia?"

Laura folded her newspaper, drank her warm milk and looked at Rudi.

"Maybe it will force everyone to work."

"Hahaha, I want a serious answer."

"Yes that's serious. That means gini, so every Indonesian who is ready to work age then they must work."

"What about housewives?"

"That includes work. So if I were president, I would create a regulation that would regulate and divide the work into several types. For example, for a married woman, they will be included in the category of domestic workers, then her husband will be factory workers or what is like tying a rice bar with other rice."

"But it's not like that it's common, that working men who women become housewives."

"Well, all this time the algorithm was just a habit. By ascertaining whether they belong to what field of workers, this will cultivate discipline subtly."

"Continue..." Laura was interested.

"So like scheduling meal times, if there is no meal schedule, then people will eat when they are hungry or want to. While when we set when they should eat then they will eat like what we scheduled. So too with work. When we have scheduled when they have to work, then they are obliged to work.well later the work will be divided, such as being a housewife, factory workers, this field, that field."

"And we can't keep an eye on them one by one."

"Such a system can be likened to a virus. If there's already one who understands and executes then the other will fall."

"That means that farming is also considered to work?"

"Yes, the school that continues college will apply for a letter of application for college."

"But working is hard."

"It's my business when I've been president. If I oblige every citizen to have a job then I must also provide a place and will make it easier"

"Hahaha, cape also talks about the country."

"Hahaha, mending coffee while relaxing kek gini"

"Hahaha, basically those who do not want to work will remain so, they will look for reasons to justify their actions. Even for themselves."

"Yes right, lack of discipline is the most prominent scourge in the country."

Either they've come up with the idea of discussing the country. They both dissolve in state chatter that even just crossed the imagination without knowing the state of the field.

They continued to discuss the same context for a long time.

As if trying to give advice to representatives of the people who overslept during the meeting. It won't be heard.

Even so, they are already cool and reluctant to change the topic.
