Chap 28 - Lug's Birthday

Two days later, Lug had a birthday. Hosted in her home by Nivi, Teressa, and Rakt. They celebrated behind the house with a cake that implanted a candle that formed the number 9 which means the age of the Lug now.

Teressa actually bought her the elegant clothes she saw at her Veni boutique. He gave it to Lug and even Nagisa was given clothes as well.

Rakt is confused to see Teressa's gift to his sister. "When did you buy that outfit, Teressa?" tanyanya.

Teressa turned her head, then replied, "Ah, this? At least a week ago."

"You told me to save, but you're spending more than me."

"This outfit isn't even more than half the price of his gift Lug."

"The one I want to buy you is 65 silver coins."

Meanwhile, Nagisa pulls Lug's hand and makes the boy notice the girl.

"What's wrong?" ask Lug.

Then the swirl of clouds melted in both of Nagisa's palms, forming a carving similar to the carving that is usually on the magic circle and covers the entire palm, fingers, back of the palm, and the back of the hand, up to his wrist. The carving is gray which emits a bright white light, only the intensity is not to dazzle the eyes. And at the time Nagisa took the handle of her sword with her right hand, he swung his hand down and a burst of light appeared from his hilt–like a burst of water but a bright white light–replace his original sword blade on the Resurrection Sword magic.

There appeared a transparent purple ball within which there was so much lightning striking into the black sphere in the center, as if the lightning bolt was sucked into it. The ball had an uneven and bumpy surface. It has a size slightly larger than Lug's head.

Awe-inspiring faces radiated from Nivi and the others. They could not believe that his method had been successfully carried out by Lug and was even three times faster than what Nagisa had done.

"Wow, that's amazing!" Teressa compliments. "I thought you could go faster than Nagisa, but this is a lot faster."

Lug saw Rakt–he heard him laughing in his heart. "Haha, brother, you must be laughing at me" he said.

Lug shook his head–does the same with Rakt.

Before the day ends, Lug and Nagisa take a walk by the river. They spend time playing with the water there. As it was late at night, Nagisa immediately pulled herself out of the water. His gaze continued to be fixed on Lug as if there was a huge key in his eyes that made him continue to stare at the man.

"Sister, do you want to take me around later when we're in the royal city?" nagisa Parau Pinta. His voice sounded hoarse because he was cold.

"For sure," Lug replied as she stroked Nagisa's wet, cold hair. "Nagisa, make sure you have the same performance as me when the selection starts. Don't part with me."

Usually those words made the person who said them become timid. But that didn't apply to Lug, just that sentence melted Nagisa's heart. "Alright, brother. Thank you for worrying about me."
