Chap 22 - Teressa's

Rakt has fallen asleep in bed. As long as he slept after the rampage, it would definitely be extremely slumbering once, perhaps even going to sleep for an entire day. Rakt used to fall asleep for up to a day and a half after a rampage– several months before Lug was born.

Actually Teressa wanted to keep Rakt, but Rakt did not allow it. Instead, the man told Teressa to return to take the two deer he hunted earlier, then return to trading only and no need to worry about it. The girl said Rakt just without thinking, and gave a smile and a warm look that seemed to say, hopefully healed quickly, Rakt.

Then came Nivi who heard that Rakt had a tantrum. In front of the porch, he meets Teressa. "How's Rakt doing now?" tanyanya worrying. But the look in his eyes did not seem worrisome, it was because it had often happened until Nivi almost felt bored. But not with his heart, as a mother, whatever happens to his child he must always think, no exception whatsoever. Although the look in his eyes was mediocre, but in his heart he was very worried about his eldest son.

Teressa gave a warm smile, "Now she is sleeping" he replied.

Nivi let out a sigh of relief while stroking his chest, "I thought he would rampage for hours."

Teressa looked up quickly. He understood what Rakt's mother said. That means Rakt can go on a rampage for hours? What if he's still on a rampage? Rakt might have been chasing me and I might as well be lying on the bed–maybe forever, her mind.

"All right," said Nivi. "Let me take care of her."

Teressa nodded and smiled back. Now a smile is the main icon of his facial expression, as if it had indeed become a natural thing. "I'm going back to the bazaar" he said.

Teressa turned around and went to the bazaar. Nivi looked at her warmly and expectantly. But there was still a sense of sadness in his heart–think of Rakt's condition. Then Nivi muttered, "If only ... Teressa, can you take care of Lug?" Teressa had gone and had not heard Nivi's words. Then the woman who was almost four heads closed her eyes and opened them slowly. Then turned around and immediately headed to Rakt's room which was lying covered in wounds.

*****

Nearly an hour passed, Teressa had brought along the two deer that were hunted by Rakt. He has also re-opened his shop, at that time also many old people who want to work stop by his shop. And they waited for Teressa to finish burning all the meat she had cut.

Eating almost ten minutes, people were almost gone for too long. But Teressa tried to convince them to wait more patiently because soon the meat would be ripe. "Wait a minute, I'll get them one by one" Teressa said as she picked up some cooked meat skewers. The wood used for the skewers was about the same size as Teressa's tiny little finger. And the flesh was cut to almost the size of Teressa–'s fist the piece of flesh was equivalent to Lug's fist. Each skewer has three pieces of meat.

Almost all of them order one piece, but some also order two to three pieces. Teressa felt very troubled handling her customers, it was because Rakt was not there to help her. The sweat returned, the room was also stuffy and hot because of the burning embers in front of the door that the heat went inside. Several times Teressa let out a weary sigh, pacing from inside the room took some meat to burn and came out again to serve her customers.

And it all kept passing until noon.

As the incoming customers began to dwindle, Teressa felt like she could relax a little. His feet were so limp– went into the room to cut the meat, and went out to burn it and serve the customers. I hope they can be a little patient ... Ah, tired, he lamented inwardly.

Customers who come to Teressa's shop today are almost more than the first day of the bazaar. That's because most people who want to work choose not to eat breakfast and only lunch. Moreover, farmers who often bring food from home, now prefer to buy it because they think it is much more practical.

Teressa is still pacing back and forth and serving her customers. At the end of the day, when it was almost noon, he was able to rest. "Finally," Teressa let out a sigh of relief. "I don't think it's over yet."

But Teressa didn't just relax. This blonde girl chose to clean her freshly cut raw meat. And without realizing it, when Teressa cut off all the remaining meat, it turns out that the meat supply has been very thin–only left 50 pieces of fifty pieces of venison and the rest of the lamb. Since Teressa had not eaten this lunch, she took some cooked meat and ate it.

After eating one piece, his stomach felt full. "And only one piece" he murmured.

Then Teressa went back to work– grabbed a piece of venison and took it out to burn. And there, he saw the old man who was with his wife heading to Teressa's tavern, he was the old man who had previously met Teressa in the forest and told her about Rakt. The couple was wearing very beautiful clothes–both clothes have almost the same pattern, namely colorful flowers. The man was wearing a short-sleeved t-shirt and color pants that were up to cover his knees. While his wife is wearing a dress, and it looks glamorous especially if the youngster is wearing it.

The blonde girl had expected them to come to her shop, but when looked at more closely, behind the old couple were countless people lined up, waiting in line to buy meat at Teressa's shop. "Oh, no!" his gerrick. "Start again, deh. Huuuha ... It's tired today." Teressa put on a smile that contained a sense of pleasure, sadness, and fatigue simultaneously. His low gaze showed that he was really tired today.

"When I had just rested, and this I should smell the smell of sweat and burning charcoal together again?"

And sure enough, the long line that flocked to Teressa's shop was about to buy meat. It's noon, time for lunch. And Teressa also realized that she had just had lunch.

"It turns out it's your shop, huh?" ask the old man who had previously met Teressa.

Teressa nodded, "Yes."

"You must be tired, because from the morning I saw your shop was filled with dozens of people," guessed the old woman who was with the old man.

"Haha."

Teressa was reluctant to answer the question, but the old couple should have understood her laughter. His face was shiny, as his sweat rubbed almost evenly across his face.

And now Teressa just realized that the old couple has fashion like a young child. They are old, he murmured in his heart. And Teressa once imagined she was wearing a dress that the old woman in front of her. And it was so beautiful, it was just that he did not know who the tall man beside him was with his face that was emitting that blinding white light.

"See you."

Teressa slammed her ass to the floor, then sighed in relief while facing her face to the ceiling–her eyes closed. His face looked tired, sweaty sweat still pouring down his temples. "Clearly," he lamented.

Since all her merchandise had been exhausted, Teressa decided to close her shop. Before that, he cleaned his inner room first. Starting from throwing garbage, mopping the floor filled with blood spots from the meat he cut, to tidying up the entire room. After that, Teressa closed the door and locked it with a padlock–giving from Rakt, and immediately returned home. Now that it was still so blistering, Teressa could see that there were still many people who still continued to trade around her. But his fatigue kept his eyes locked on the way home.

While passing through the village park, Teressa gazed towards a small alley that was between the village hall and the village park. When entering the small alley it will reach the village library, which is right next to the house of Rakt's residence.

Teressa continues her journey, and unexpectedly she meets Nivi who comes out of the small alley. "Mother, you just got home?" tanyakanya.

Now that Nivi looked a little sad, he did not even answer until he stood in front of Teressa. "You should have known, right?!" exacting. Teressa was somewhat confused by what her mother Rakt meant.

"About what?"

"Have you never heard from the locals?"

Now Teressa realized what Nivi was talking about. "Wait a minute, what does it mean ... About Rakt's curse?" tanyanya.

"Already I guess, there must be someone else who tells you - no matter who it is, gradually you will also know. But I didn't expect it to be this fast," Nivi looked grieved, his gaze falling slowly, even now his gaze was starting to go blank. "The future of Rakt is getting grim - no! I don't mean his job, maybe ... Everything - be it his soul mate, his life, and everything else" he murmured.

Teressa has no idea where this conversation will lead, but Nivi is definitely worried about Rakt. "Mom, we better talk about this at home" he said.

Nivi turned his head towards Teressa, giving her a puzzled look. "What about your shop?" tanyakanya.

"Everything's gone, not rested" he replied with a happy smile.

Nivi's confused gaze was instantly mixed with a sense of awe. She was pensive at that moment and– thought about why Teressa seemed to not care about her words just now. Even to the point of wondering, does this girl like Rakt or not? The confusion made her dizzy, so Nivi chose to ask her later when she got home.

On the way, Nivi asks again, "Teressa, have you ever met a man like Rakt?"

Teressa turned her head towards Nivi, her gaze a little confused. He wondered why Rakt's mother always said things or asked him something strange and distorted. "No, why?" Teressa asked back. Then he continued his words, "The man I met can still be counted fingers, including my father, and my neighbors–Rakt, Lug, and Vans' father as well, if in Nedhen's village this is also counted, there may be some, but I don't know."

Nivi widened his eyes, putting on a surprised face. "You're serious?!" tanyanya.

Teressa looked back ahead, in fact her gaze was blank, but she was trying to keep looking at the direction of the road she was going. "Seriously," he answered briefly.

Looking from the look in his eyes, it seemed like what he said was true, inner Nivi.

Until the trip was very boring. Nivi and Teressa don't talk to each other, they close their lips until they get home. As usual, Teressa must have always checked on her sister who was practicing in the backyard. Nivi sees how Teressa cares for Nagisa, reminded him of Rakt who is now lying on a hard bed that is placed on a thin cot that has many cracks on its surface–as if it will be destroyed at any time. At that time Nivi took the initiative to make something for the sister pair, immediately headed to the kitchen and cooked something.

While Nivi was wearing an apron, Teressa returned to the house. "Mother, are you cooking? Let me help you," Teressa offered.

"No need," Nivi replied with a warm smile.

Teressa was a little confused. He did not know what was in Nivi's heart, it was because suddenly the feelings of the mother of two children turned erratic.previously sad, now calm and like being excited. Teressa even thought that Nivi was angry with her for unknown reasons.

"Mother, are you still sad about Rakt?" teressa asked as she walked closer to Nivi.

Suddenly Nivi lowered her head, her gaze becoming sorrowful, as if there was endless darkness in her gaze. And Teressa realized that it was a very, very stupid question in this situation.

And it turns out, it was all Teressa's imagination. Actually, he was thinking about what to do right now. But instead his mind was leading to something bad. And Teressa now decided to approach Nivi without discussing Rakt in the least. "Can I really not help?"

Then Nivi turned his head, he was silent for a moment, as if his brain was thinking about several things simultaneously. A few moments later, Nivi replied, "Just accompany your sister. I see his training will be even better if someone accompanies him."

Then Teressa realized it. "Mom was right" she said. "Since childhood Nagisa really wanted friends, why do I remember now?" He chuckled and then walked quickly back to the backyard.

Nivi shook his head, "Truly similar to Rakt," he murmured in a whisper.
