Vol II Chap 41 - The Devil's World

Lug had reached the far border from the encampments of the previous Rankers. He started touching the wall, then closed his eyes. Before long, there was a magic circle formed in his palm and it was quite large in size. And when Lug opened his eyes, he turned his head towards his two wives and Zephyr.

"Let's go in" he asked.

The magic circle disappeared, and Lug started to enter. It looks like nothing has changed, only when he entered, the wall looks like red water that blends with the limiting color– is wavy like water touched.

Zephyr gulped, he turned his head towards Nagisa who started walking without any hesitation at all. Followed by Raini who was also completely undaunted. Then Zephyr walked over and he came in last.

When he entered the world of demons, Zephyr did not see any demons there. It seemed that the demon world was more beautiful than what he had imagined. The expanse of green grass that was snowed bit by bit, it looked very beautiful from what I had imagined all along, Zephyr muttered in a stunned heart.

"Wow, the demon world doesn't look like what I imagined," Raini muttered turning to the right and to the left.

Nagisa nodded. "Right, I thought there were black clouds spinning with exploding lightning or bones everywhere. But it turned out to look much better," he murmured as well.

"God!" Lug grinning. "You must think that the demon world looks this beautiful, you just haven't seen how the demon world really is. Now look there and what do you see now?!" he pointed towards a mountain that looked like there was a black cloud spinning like what Nagisa said. It seemed very far away, but it was completely real in the eyes of all of them.

"Gosh, it turns out to be exactly what I was thinking!" nagisa was surprised.

Lug stared at the goal in the direction of the swirling cloud. "Let's go there!" he immediately rushed over quickly and was followed by the others.

But all of a sudden, Lug stopped in the middle of the road.

Zephyr's surprised. "There's an MMH!"

Lug immediately shut the mouth of his best friend. Nagisa and Raini instantly realized that there was something around her. Since there was a vast expanse of grass, the two of them did not know what was around them despite turning their heads to the right or left.

"We need to get out of here!" tell Lug. "Follow me!"

He immediately ran quickly towards the place overgrown by tall weeds.

And when they were all hiding, it turned out that there was a human coming. He was wearing a red-colored armor, which meant that he was a Red Sky Ranker.

Nagisa was shocked to the extent of widening her eyes, as only this time did she see a Red Sky Ranker.

Before long the Ranker left, he seemed to realize Lug's presence and checked it out. But he didn't find it.

Lug turned his head towards Nagisa and Raini who was beside her right–while Zephyr was to her left. "I heard that in the demon world there was a man who was touted as a Blind Swordsman. Rumors are that many Sky Rankers are avoiding it because it is more dangerous than a demon" he explained.

"Want to?" ask Raini.

"Meaning he is someone who is very great, I heard also that he is a human who lives under the shadow of the demon of the dark elf race. I want to make him our partner" explained Lug with a scary grin.

Raini was surprised and said, "You've gone crazy? As far as I'm concerned, he's really terrible."

"You underestimated me, Raini?" asked Lug with a sharp eye. His expression also looked very serious. "I thought you really trusted me completely."

Raini was shocked again. Now he looks more restless because he forgot his own beliefs. But now he's smiling. "No, I mean-he might be surprised to see you're more terrible than him," he said.

"LU-LUG! RELEASE!!!" snapped Raini who clasped tightly onto Lug's hand.

And after Lug let go, Raini squeezed while rubbing his reddened nose–he almost cried.

Now they immediately rushed off again. Since it was unknown where the location of the Blind Swordsman was located, Lug thought that the weapon passed down in the demon world was prioritized first. For his location, he had forgotten the details, but at least he knew where it was.

Half a day has passed. They had been close to the mountain they had seen when it was near the border. The black clouds that were spinning with exploding lightning were right above their heads.

"You remember this! There are several types of demons that we might face" Lug said.

The first is succubus and incubus. The two of them were a demon race that used illusion magic to tempt humans. Succubus is female, so the seduced is male, the incubus is male, the seduced is female. Their form is actually not much different from humans, only they have small black wings on the back and have a long tail with sharp tips and shaped like arrows. While their eyes are red with black pupils like cats.

Next was the dark elves. They were creatures that were also similar to humans, yet more precisely were elves. Unlike the elves who have a bright white skin color, instead the dark elves have a black body. They're experts with projectile creation magic like fireballs or something. Their intelligence is above the average of the demons.

As people used to know, goblins, they used to be a separate race that was very different from demons. However they had been tainted by demonic powers that made themselves become mutated with a much stronger physique. Goblins have green skin, with a distended stomach and a very large body. And the size of goblins is five times larger than humans in general.

Then there is the lich, a creature whose body is only composed of bones. They had extremely powerful magic, and could even awaken an army of the undead.

There were also ghouls, giants in the demon world who were extremely terrifying. There was also a two-headed ghoul, but its body size was slightly smaller. The size of an ordinary ghoul was equivalent to three goblins.

Next is wyrm. The creature had a worm-like body, living in the depths of the ground. Their size is very long, can even reach hundreds of regrites. The humans say that the wyrm is the offspring of the evil dragon, but the wyrm is not at all like the dragon and does not have the blood of the dragon descendant in the slightest. Wyrm had only poisonous scales, and his breath was dark green, extremely hot and poisonous, only it did not give off fire, and it was extremely corrosive.

And there's also a vampire, a giant bat that sucks the blood of any creature nearby. They live in a herd way, and when they are looking for prey, they look very large numbers up to thousands.

The last one is mutants. A monstrous creature that can have a variety of forms. Can be a ghoul who does not have skin–only wet muscles, his head that grows on the stomach, his legs are three, his hands are five, oroun the other. Mutants can also be even more terrifying.

"The last one sounds really scary" Zephyr muttered as he hugged himself who was goosebumps in fear.

But Lug him only. He looked at the darkening sky with very sharp and enthusiastic eyes. "Vampires, they'll be out soon. Prepare you for a night with the worst of dreams" he told.

Zephyr gulped, as did Nagisa and Raini.

"Zephyr, have you mastered the magic of the five circles I wrote in the book?" asked Lug without looking at the person she was asking.

Zephyr replied confidently, "Don't ask anymore, now even I have mastered the magic of five circles and the magic of four circles in your book. Its name is Shock Wave Blow of Light, and Eclipse Light."

Lug smiled. "I shouldn't like it because you've mastered melee magic, but what can I do now?" he turned to Nagisa. "Light Eclipse, that's the next stage Penetrating Light magic, Nagisa," she said with a smile.

Nagisa nodded with a slightly reddened face, she looked happy to hear it. Seeing the happy woman, Lug was also happy.
