The Inevitable Fight

"Why do you want me to stop?" adam asked after turning his body.

In front of Adam, there were already five men who were now looking at him with an unfriendly gaze. If gazes could kill, it was most likely that Adam was already dead from receiving a sharp glare from them.

Among the five men who asked him to stop, Adam found the whereabouts of Mamat, a gold-selling scalper who had previously argued with Pakde Gani. Adam thought their relationship was not good.

Mamat quite often makes the price of gold much cheaper, while Pakde Gani thinks it can damage the market price. Their debate at that time led Adam to conclude that they did not have a good relationship with each other.

However, seeing Mamat with the four other men blocking Adam's path, making men change their previous thinking. Apparently, Pakde Gani and Mamat conspired. It could be, their debate at that time was just a charade.

Then, the reason they do this, because Pakde Gani wants to attract the trust of people who intend to sell gold. If they believe enough, there is a possibility that Pakde Gani will carry out an evil plan to them. Robbing the gold they would sell for example.

"Give me all the gold you have if you want to survive. Otherwise, you won't be able to get out of this place" said one of the men at the front. Most likely this man was the leader of the five men who confronted him.

"As I thought. They were intent on robbing me of the gold I had" Adam murmured inwardly.

Adam's question about the maximum limit of gold that Pakde Gani can buy, also provides information that the gold Adam brought is not small. It makes them think the money they get will be worth the risk. So they decided to rob Adam.

"Gold? I did not bring any gold. So, why are you suddenly asking me for gold?" asked Adam who acted not knowing what these five men meant.

"God." Mamat immediately snorted to hear Adam's words. "Not bring gold, you say? Not likely. You just got out of Pakde Gani's place. I hear you also want to sell gold in bulk. Now, you're saying you don't have gold? Nonsense," cried Mamat.

"Surely he hid the gold in his body, Mas Aryo. I'm sure he's trying to kill us" Mamat continued.

"You're right, Mat. We do not believe this man's words. So, since he refuses to cooperate after we have spoken well, we better have him talk with our hands" replied Mas Aryo, who was the leader of these thugs.

Without waiting any longer, the five men immediately ran over Adam. One of them then started the attack by hitting Adam.

It made the man take a few steps back before falling down. The man was instantly unconscious after receiving a hard blow from Adam.

As someone who was a martial expert, it was quite easy for Adam to render one unconscious with a single blow. Fighting five people at once was also a little troublesome, but it would not overwhelm him.

The fall of their friend apparently did not make the others feel afraid. They were angry that Adam had hurt their friend.

"How dare you make my friend faint. I'll make you sorry for doing this to my friend" said Mas Aryo.

"I can't teach your friends, but you can teach me as you like. What's that what you mean? No kidding. I'm not going to admit to something that stupid" explained Adam.

"Sad." Adam immediately spit. His spit fell right in Mas Aryo's shoes. This made the man angry.

"Bad. Everyone, attack simultaneously. I'm gonna skin this guy. How dare he spit on my shoes" said Mas Aryo fiery. The man pulled out a knife from his back pocket. It seemed like he was going to fight more seriously now.

Not only was Mas Aryo and his men serious, Adam who saw these people engaging sharp weapons in their fights made him also turn more serious. If you let your guard down a little, the knife could hurt him. In fact, the knife could take his life.

Apparently, not only Mas Aryo who carries a knife. The other three men also began to take out their folding knives.

"You're trying to kill me and take my things, huh? I think you guys do this a lot, don't you?" ask Adam.

Obviously these thugs have no intention of letting Adam go. Even if Adam gave him the gold he had once, they would not let him loose.
