Lailatulqadar (Song of Missing For Fathers)

Lailatulqadar (Song of Missing For Fathers)
Chapter 9

The next day, just like the day before, Laila returned to deliver Qadar to school. Worried about bad things happening to Qadar, Laila chose to drop off and wait for her sister to come home later.

Considering they are still new to live in the city, and again the situation in the city must be different from the village they used to live in. Perhaps more vulnerable crimes occurred, so Laila was afraid to let Qadar go and go home alone.

Fortunately, Mira did not bother about it. As long as the homework is done, Laila is free to take her sister to school.

Qadar had already entered the school environment, as usual Laila would wait for him in front of the gate. There was a wall that could be made a seat for him, so Laila did not feel sore waiting for Qadar to linger.

"Sir, please open the gate!" pinta Restu while peering between the iron fence of the school, looking around for Laila figure out there.

His hand carried some Junior High School textbooks that he bought at the junkman yesterday. There are only one or two books that are still left at home and have not been thrown away by his mother. Fortunately the maid at Restu's house helped her find the remaining used book in the warehouse.

"Sorry, you can't get out. It's a class hour" the school security guard said.

"Just a moment, sir. I just want to give these books the same Laila, just a clash sir! I'm free time because, the gym teacher did not come today," explained Restu continued to urge the school security guard to open the gate.

"All right, but five minutes." The security guard opened the gate for him.

"Yes sir, thank you!" Restu smiled widely, then he walked out to meet Laila who was sitting not far from the gate.

"Restu? How do you get out?" laila asked in astonishment as she wailed towards the gate that was closed tightly again.

"I just got permission from the security guard, and was allowed to go out for this love for you." Restu offers about five books of 9th grade Junior High School subjects including one of the exam practice books.

"Thank you!" Laila accepts with a face of sumringah.

"Either. I hope you don't stop learning even if you don't continue your school." Restu seemed to care so much for Laila.

"Surely, thanks again."

"Oh yeah, can I ask you something?" said Restu while sitting next to Laila who is now busy opening one by one her gift book.

"Ask what?" Laila looked at it at a glance and then she opened one of the books, remembering what material she had learned last time in the village.

"Yes, why didn't I ever think about it?" laila said while thinking.

"Well, I can help you later make a print and multiply your father's picture. You just have to take the picture tomorrow or if you don't send it to my phone." Restu pulled out a flat object in the pocket of his sports pants.

"Enter your number here." Restu thrust the flat object at Laila while Laila herself just dumbfounded to see Restu.

"Why?" Restu was astonished to see Laila just silently staring at him.

"Sorry, I don't have a HP. Let me make a flyer later. Just love the printmaker, right? I don't want to repotin you, but thank you the proposal is very useful and opens up at least a chance for me and Qadar to meet Dad." Laila's shady eyes looked hopeful, Restu could see that.

Although Laila was not a person but she did not necessarily want to receive all the help from others especially if Laila could still do it, she would not accept any help. As Restu currently offers.

"Sorrys. I hope that you will soon reproduce the photo of your father, so that you and Qadar can get back together with the family. You can also continue your school, the figure of the father is very important in my opinion, he who will contribute to your education. From his sweat we can live, from his sacrifice we can get this big, " said Restu with a mind to remember the figure of Sharif his father who loved him so much.

Laila stared at the pride in Restu's eyes towards her father. Another thing with Laila who did not feel what Restu felt.

"It seems you love your father very much, he must be a very responsible figure. As for me, it was my mother who did all this for me and Qadar. Father's figure only briefly stopped in my life, but even so I do not hate him. There may be things or reasons that make her unable to go home" Laila said, trying to think positively about her father.

"I pray that you and Qadar find him soon" Restu said.

"Hey, come on in! You could have rebuked me if you kept going outside!" exclaim Satpam on Restu.

"I'm back, you're studying hard and don't forget to pray to see your father soon" Restu advised before he finally entered the school environment.

Laila just nodded lightly, then she reopened the textbook of Restu's giving. One of the book covers caught his attention. A familiar name in his mind. It says the name Restu Airlangga, reminding Laila of her father's name. Sharif Airlangga's.

Laila frowned, seeing this coincidence before her eyes. Then she smiled, feeling so stupid.

"California, Laila. The name of Airlangga is anyone can have it. Not just your father's name," he muttered while shaking his head and smiling.
