Lailatulqadar (Song of Missing For Fathers)

Lailatulqadar (Song of Missing For Fathers)
Chapter 20

Back at school Qadar met his brother who was busy struggling in the kitchen with Mira. Today they are busy with many orders from customers. It is likely that Laila will not have time to go around the sale and will only deliver a certificate to the homes of those who have ordered.

"Sir Laila, I just met his father Kak Restu" said Qadar who was still carrying a bag and wearing a school uniform.

Laila's hand that was busy cutting seemed to stop for a moment, with a blank look she daydreamed.

"The car is good, brother, it must be expensive. The guy's nice too, so he looks cool. Father Brother Restu wear a suit, tie, shiny shoes... " Qadar kept nyerocos expressing his admiration for the figure.

While Laila herself was still daydreaming, Qadar's voice seemed like a chirp drowned out by the chaotic ripples of Laila's mind waves.

"Laila is dumb!" reprimand Mira saw Laila just silent without completing her work.

Laila only regained consciousness from the daydream after hearing Mira's rather loud voice.

Laila did not say a word, she resumed her work. In his heart he asked if his father did not recognize Qadar? Yes, of course he will not recognize Qadar because from the time Qadar was in the womb until now his father had never met Qadar. But is there no bond between the two?

Or perhaps remember the name of his son when Qadar introduced himself. Does he miss himself and Qadar or forget? Inner Laila seemed to continue to struggle with this.

"Sister Laila, our father must be like his father, Sister Restu, right? Our dad must have a fancy car too, right?" Qadar.

At once Mira gave a tickle to hear it, Qadar's words seemed to tickle her stomach.

Laila and Qadar turned to their laughing aunt Mira holding her stomach.

"Aunt why? Istigfar bi!" kata Qadar thought Mira kesambet because suddenly just laugh alone when there is nothing funny at all.

"You think I'm late? Tell istigfar everything!" Mira stopped laughing wiping away the tears that came out due to her excessive laughter.

"Why do you laugh at yourself?" Qadar was still innocent this time Qadar remembered the stressed people in his village, as Qadar remembered the person always laughed to himself. Qadar looked strangely at Mira.

"You're that if you dream not of heights, you say your father is as cool as his father Restu. If your father is rich, he will not leave you, at least send money to you instead of abandoning his children and wife." Mira spoke with a mocking face.

Qadar was quite disappointed to hear his words, his high hopes seemed to be dropped just like that by his aunt.

"If he was your father rich, most now he already has a new wife, why try to return to the village. In the city a lot more clear than the Marni, what else your father has a beautiful face is not difficult to find a new wife who is more beautiful," he continued.

Mira's words were very piercing the heart of Laila. That's the reality now. His father had a new family. I don't know who got Sharif's heart first. Marni or Restu's mother, Laila doesn't know about it. What is clear is that Mira's words have a point, and as if slapping her to no longer expect more about her father.

If indeed Sharif still loves Laila, Qadar and Marni. Maybe he wouldn't have gone for years without telling the news. Sharif abandoned both his children and his wife.

"Sister Laila is it true that you are like that? Brother Laila answer me! I know more about dad's attitude." Qadar shook Laila's arm.

Instantly, the tears that had been weathered were released from Laila's defense. Flowing hard to stop. Laila brushed her tears and invited Qadar to go into the room.

"Let's change clothes first, brother also wants to take ablution again dzuhur prayer." Laila pulled Qadar's arm carrying him to the room.

Mira just flicked her mouth with a mocking look and revealed a cynical laugh looking at her two nephews.

Laila threw her body on the bed, tears hard to stop and flowed down her face and hijab.

Qadar kept the school bag over the nightstand with his eyes constantly staring at his brother's astonishment. A bunch of questions filled Qadar's mind. What is Laila crying about? were their aunt's words right? is Dad not as good as he thinks? And many more questions filled the boy's mind.

Laila was crying. He cursed himself for crying in front of Qadar. Things he shouldn't have done. Qadar would be sad to see him like this.

"Did Qadar speak wrongly? Or is your sister crying because of what Aunt said?" qadar asked while stroking her brother's shoulder.

The pain in Laila's chest seemed more unsheathed, tight and unbearable. How can he be as strong as Marni's mother? Laila was looking for a way to strengthen herself when she was so fragile and broken. Who can strengthen himself?

'Astagfirullahaladzim.there is Allah and I must be strong because of Him!' inner Laila.

"You're not wrong. Brother just misses Daddy. " Laila again wiped the tears on her cheek, she tilted her sitting position to the side where Qadar was sitting at the moment.

Laila carved a very forced smile. Staring at Qadar's face, it felt like Laila was more and more unwilling to destroy the child's hope to meet the figure of his father. But for now it's not time he tells Qadar who their father really is. Laila could not say if the man she met as Restu's father was the father that Qadar had been looking for. Laila would wait for that moment to arrive, and there would definitely be a chance where she and Qadar could reunite with their father.

"Qadar misses dad too." The little boy hugged Laila tightly.

Laila stroked the tiny back gently. Laila tried not to cry in front of Qadar. He who now must relieve the cries of his sister who has wet his shoulders at this time.

"You change clothes, gih! Take ablution and we pray together. Let us pray with God to be found soon with our father" said Laila unraveled the embrace.

Qadar nodded lightly as he wiped the tears on his cheeks. He rushed to get a change of clothes while Laila first took ablution.

By late afternoon, Laila and Dita were preparing to deliver the order to Restu's house.

Laila prepares mentally and heart if there she will meet her new father and family. Laila can't cry in front of them. Laila also wanted to know how her father would react when he met her.

Dita was sitting on the motorbike preparing to leave, Laila was sitting behind him while carrying a basket containing a notch that he would send to several houses. But their first destination was Restu's house.

About fifteen minutes they arrived in front of a mansion with a black trellis gate. Houses that stand firmly in elite settlements. Looks luxurious, majestic and big.

Laila immediately got off the motorbike approaching the guard house.

''I'm sorry sir, I'll drop off Restu's order." Laila looked through the iron trellis.

The security guard immediately opened the gate to let them enter because previously Restu had advised if there were teenagers who sent the certificate to immediately be told to enter.

Laila and Dita are now in front of the terrace of the luxury house. A small-coupled old woman with gray hair seemed to welcome their arrival. That woman looks like the maid in this house.

"Laila's the same as Dita?" saith.

Laila and Dita nodded in response.

"Let's go in!" Invite the old woman to open the door of the house consisting of two doors.

Laila and Dita went inside. Instantly Laila circulated her gaze as she entered the main room of the house. And his sight fell at one point. A large family photo was posted there. In the photo consists of three people namely Restu, a beautiful woman with elegant makeup and Sharif his father.

Laila's breathing and heartbeat seemed to stop at that moment. Seeing the scenery that really makes his chest tight so that he must return to withstand the pain of wounds that have not been dry.
