Lailatulqadar (Song of Missing For Fathers)

Lailatulqadar (Song of Missing For Fathers)
Chapter 19

Qadar had just arrived at school, he got off the public transport with some of his friends who were also riding in a green car that looked crowded with passengers.

At the same time, a black car pulled over in front of the school. Restu got out of the car, and Sharif is driving him now.

"Bestu!" sahut Qadar when he saw Restu not far from where he stood.

Restu who was called looked over.

"Qadar!" call Restu by throwing a smile at the eight-year-old who is now approaching him.

Qadar looked at Restu's black car, he was amazed in his heart to see the luxury car in front of him.

While Syarif was shocked when Restu mentioned Qadar's name, he walked over to his son Restu who is now with a small child in an elementary school uniform.

"Qadar is Restu's father, this father is Qadar. His niece was a salesman who I bought at that time, " said Restu introduced.

Syarif's eye beads met the boy's innocent eyes. There was something that made the hearts of both of them tremble, yet I don't know what it was. Perhaps because the name of the child is the same as the name of his son, the result of his marriage with Mirna which until now Syarif did not know what his face was like.

Likewise with Qadar, his instincts seemed to say he met the figure of Father who he had longed for. But it was certainly impossible, because the one before him right now was Father Restu not his father, Inner Qadar. He felt his longing for the father figure made himself easily touched when he saw the adult man who holds the title as a father. Though not every adult man he met was able to make his feelings drift when he looked at the man's eye bead.

Syarif smiled stifledly, then he asked, "what class are you?"

"Top grade SD, Om!" answer Qadar was so cool that he did not want to take his eyes off the face of a tall, neat-haired man a little wet shiny, moustached not so thick and neatly dressed with a suit and tie.

Syarif was silent.

'Class 2 Elementary, maybe my son with Marni is now the same age as her, ' inner Sharif.

"We go in first" said Restu, kissing the back of Sharif's hand, as well as Qadar shaking hands and kissing the back of the 50-year-old's hand.

Qadar felt something in his heart that he knew nothing when he kissed the man's hand.

Restu also held Qadar's hand to invite him into the school gate that is still wide open.

While Sharif was still standing staring at the two of them from the front of the gate.

"Ah, what am I talking about. " Sarif shook his head and he immediately returned to his car and passed from there.

Before entering the class Restu and Qadar had a chat for a while, while walking to their class.

"She's Sister Restu must be good. How the hell it feels to have a Dad, I can't imagine because he has never lived on one roof with Dad," asked Qadar.

Restu halted his steps for a moment, crouching before Qadar. Both of his arms held onto the little boy's shoulder with eyes staring pity at him.

"Your father must also be a good person just like his father Kak Restu. The father's figure as a protector for the family. Serving as a motivator, giving a living for the daily needs of the family from his sweat, one drop of sweat he will not be able to pay even with the many treasures we have later. His service, his affection and his leadership attitude are a reflection for us boys" said Restu.

Qadar seemed to digest Restu's words. All he knew was that his mother Marni had been protecting him, providing for all the daily needs of his family, a gentle angel with a physical appearance that looked weak but never gave up and his soul seemed strong.

"If the father figure is like that, my mother can also do everything you said just now" said plain Qadar.

Restu was even more moved to hear Qadar's sincere remarks from the heart of praising his mother.

"Then your mother was a great mother, very great. She can raise you and Laila alone without a husband beside her. Brother Restu salute your mother." Restu glazed over, his eyes felt hot holding back the cry that he could not possibly drop at this moment.

"But you have to remember, the blood that runs through your body is your father's blood and it's not to be denied. Brother Restu will always pray that someday you can meet your father," he continued.

"Aamiinu. May Qadar's father be kind, dashing and handsome like Kak Restu's father."

Restu who carved the sweetest smile in order to comfort Qadar, though his heart was sad to see the fate of Qadar. Had Restu been in Qadar's current position, perhaps he might not necessarily be as strong as the boy. Restu admitted, the late mother of Qadar is very good because it can educate her children well even in incomplete family circumstances. Without a father or husband figure to help them educate them.

"We're getting into class now, study hard huh! Qadar will definitely be a success, make both your parents proud!"

"Surely Brother," said Qadar with enthusiasm.

The child always looks cheerful, although Restu knows in his heart there must be a deep inner wound.
