Lailatulqadar (Song of Missing For Fathers)

Lailatulqadar (Song of Missing For Fathers)
Chapter 11

By nightfall Laila told Qadar about their father who was still alive and likely living in the city.

Hearing the news Qadar was no less happy, he was, he had even imagined his meeting with the Father even though he did not know how his Father looked like but in the delusion of his father's face formed in such a way as he saw in the old photo.

"We are not just two brothers, in this world there is still a father. God hears our prayers!" qadar said with sparkling eyes.

"Yes Dek, we'll both find Dad. May Allah make our way easier to find him" said Laila while preparing sarongs and mukena for them to go terawih.

Tomorrow all Muslims will observe the fast, so tonight they will perform the best prayer in the mosque near the house.

Laila and Qadar left the room, saying goodbye to Mira before leaving for the mosque. Handoko their uncle had already gone to the mosque with Aldo while Mira and Dita did not seem to intend to go terawih. Mira is busy watching soap operas while Dita as usual she prefers to be in the room while playing mobile phone, but Dita always reasoned if he was busy with schoolwork in fact he was just busy playing the game.

"Bi, we went to the mosque first" said Laila as she greeted her aunt.

"Hmm... ." Mira did not look at them, only her hands were shaking hands with her two nephews while Mira's eyes were still fixed on the television screen.

"Assynnya!" say Laila and Qadar simultaneously.

"Wa'alaikumsalam." Mira answered still without turning her head, let alone the soap opera that aired again. Until answering greetings too sambi lazy and forced.

Laila and Qadar also left the house, walking to the mosque around the complex which is not far from home.

It seems that many residents of the complex flocked to the mosque to participate in worship. Everyone seemed to welcome the arrival of the holy month with joy and excitement. A rare moment that they can only pass every one year, so they do not want to miss the moment. Moreover, humans never know whether next year they can still feel the month of Ramadan or not. Because the age of man only God knows.

"This year we are without a mother" Qadar said as they headed to the mosque.

"Ssttt. Everything is arranged by God. Mother has been separated from the disease she suffered, it means that God loves her mother. We who are still in the world better pray for the dead, our mother. " Laila tried to remind Qadar not to be sad again, although in fact Laila also felt tasteless welcoming this year's Ramadan without a mother beside them.

"Mang Qadar! Here!" call Aldo who was on the terrace of the mosque, he waved his hand when he saw Qadar entering the courtyard of the mosque.

"So Uncle and Aldo. My brother prayed separately over there." Show Laila.

"Yes, sister, but then go home wait for me here!"

"Yes definitely. Hurry up and see, Aldo's waiting for you."

Qadar ran over to Aldo, and they both went inside because Handoko was inside.

Laila went into the women's quarters. Take the empty shaf. There was not a single person he knew there, but it seemed that among them they knew him as Handoko's brother from the village and Laila was known to them as an orphan. Some of them even saw his pity and they seemed to be talking about Laila as well as Qadar.

After praying Tarawih Laila came home with Qadar, Aldo and Uncle Handoko.

It was only fitting that when they came, no one would greet them. Apparently Mira slept and did not hear their arrival.

"Mom, wake up mom!" Aldo shook his mother's body.

Mira blinked adjusting her eyes to the glare of light in the room.

"I fell asleep!" Mira got up and sat down.

"If you're tired of sleeping inside, outside a lot of mosquitoes." Handoko stepped into the room to change clothes.

As Laila and Qadar were about to walk into the room, Mira called out to them.

"Relina, Qadar!"

"Yes Bi?" Laila stopped her steps and turned to Mira.

"Tomorrow home from school you guys help me sell ya, anther orders around the complex. If you want you can also sell around, then you can profit from the sale," said Mira.

"Good bi, Laila will help auntie."

"good. Now there rest, tomorrow you have to wake up early again we will want to sahur." Mira stood up to invite Aldo into the room after he made sure all the doors were locked and the television was turned off.

Laila and Qadar went to their room to rest.

Elsewhere, Syarif was pensive in his study. Last afternoon he saw Handoko, and he went into hiding when he found out that Handoko had seen her whereabouts. Sharif did not want to meet anyone who had anything to do with Marni. It could be bad later if Marni and her two children come looking for her in this city. Maybe Ambar will be angry if Marni and the children find out where he lives today.

Sharif's life has been quite calm for eight years. Although deep in his heart he sometimes felt longing for both his children and his wife. But the demands of life made him have to be cruel to them. Had he not been indebted to Ambar's family he might still have had a choice and perhaps even Sharif would have chosen to live with Marni, the woman he loved.

With the Ambar of Sharif's life only happy by matter, abundant property is also a position. On the outside he may be happy but his heart is actually empty and hollow. Not the love that Sharif gave to Ambar but his affection is only for return and pity. Moreover, Ambar pampered Syarif with the treasures Ambar had. For that Syarif always lost to Ambar especially Ambar's treasure also saved the lives of his parents first when going to undergo surgery.

If there was no Ambar maybe at that time Syarif's father had died, even though now he had been called the creator because his age was no longer young. At least Ambar once saved the life of the father of Syarif when suffering from a malignant disease and must be immediately in surgery.

Therefore, Sharif could not leave Ambar. There were so many debts that could not be paid by him that he devoted himself to marrying Ambar who at that time already contained the seeds of another irresponsible man. Yes, Restu Airlangga is not Sharif's biological child but Syarif married Ambar when Restu was already in Ambar's womb.

But even so Syarif still loves Restu, he already considers Restu like his own son. And Restu never knew about this, especially his name was given the appendage of Airlangga behind him to confirm if Restu is really the son of Sharif Airlangga. Even if it's just a formality.
