Lailatulqadar (Song of Missing For Fathers)
Chapter 44

After performing the Ied prayer, Handoko and the family forgave each other. Handoko sits on one of the chairs and Mira is next to her.

Dita, Laila, Aldo, and Qadar bowed to them. The atmosphere of haru in a blanket of crying also adorned the house.

"Sorry Uncle Laila, Laila has been a lot of trouble for Uncle. Sorry if Laila has done much wrong with Uncle," said Laila gathered in front of Handoko.

"I'm sorry Uncle hasn't been able to give you the best. Uncle will always pray for you to become a successful person and all your goals will be achieved." Handoko stroked Laila's head which was always covered in hijab.

Laila shifted position this time she hugged Mira tightly, Mira's maternal instinct was touched.

"I'm sorry Aunt Laila." Mira roared, crying in light of her bad deeds all this time towards Laila.

"During this time Aunt has always been bad with you, aunt has been wrong with you and Qadar" he continued with regret.

"No Bi, it's Laila who should apologize to Auntie. Laila's been bothering Bibi a lot since she lived here. For Laila Bibi is the surrogate Mother, and Laila is grateful for the existence of an aunt in Laila and Qadar's life. We can still feel the affection of Auntie's mother. Angered aunt is a form of aunty's affection for us, aunt gave us many lessons so we could be as strong as we are now" said Laila who also sobbed.

After forgiving each other they also eat the food that has been provided Mira at the dining table. They seemed to rejoice in celebrating this victory day after a month of fasting.

As Mira said, today they will go straight back to the village. All have entered the car, goods, food and souvenirs for people in the village have all been put in the car. Laila, Aldo, Dita and Qadar seemed excited because for them this time not only returned home but all the streets on Eid. Their journey will not be as jammed as usual. The streets will be empty on the day of Lebaran.

Their car drove off the housing complex.

"Qadar wants to go to his father's house first he said," said Mira who sat next to Handoko.

Handoko had known before Qadar's wish, Mira had talked to him last night before going to bed.

"We're going there. May on this day of Eid they open their hearts to receive our coming." Handoko drove her car towards Syarif's house.

"Aamiinu. We must think positively, especially on this holiday," said Mira was relieved.

A second later their car stopped in front of a luxurious house in an elite complex. It looks so quiet there.

They got out of the car and walked closer to the gate.

In view of the outside state of the house looks so quiet as uninhabited. Even at the guard station there seemed to be no one. It's so weird.

Inadvertently there was a RT chairman who happened to pass in front of the house and saw those who were confused looking for the whereabouts of Sharif and his family.

"Excuse me!" exclaim the RT chief on them.

"Sir, who's looking?" ask Handoko.

"We're going to visit this house. But it looks like the one with the house isn't home, huh?" handoko.

"You mean Mr. Sharif and Ms. Ambar?" said the RT chief.

"Yes sir, do you know them?"

"I happen to be head of RT here. So I know the people here" he said.

"Pak Syarif and his family have long gone sir, before Lebaran they go abroad if not wrong. But there has been no clarity on what to move, because they have not returned until now," said the man who claimed to be the head of RT.

"To foreign countries?" Handoko and the others exchanged lyrics with each other.

"I also know from the security guard who guards this house, maybe today he did not enter because of Lebaran." The head of RT again explained what he knew.

"Well, thank you for the information, sir!" handoko.

"Either. This father is Miss Ambar if you may know? Let me tell you later the security guard who guards this house if he comes," said the RT chairman.

" We are his brothers. Excuse me first, thank you!"

"Together, Sir!"

There was a disappointed look from Qadar's face but how else, Sharif was not there and according to news from the man Sharif went abroad with his family. I don't know for anything they don't know.

"Don't be sad, we'll come back from the village again. Now you want to make a pilgrimage to the mother's tomb" entertain Laila on Qadar.

"True your brother, don't be sad!" Mira stroked Qadar's hair trying to comfort the boy.

"Don't be sad Qadar!" said Dita who also stroked his cousin's shoulder.

"Sir Qadar, must smile." Aldo's cute voice made Qadar carve a smile on his lips.

"Let's go to the village!" Handoko encouraged them.

"Come on!" Excited the children with excitement as they entered one by one into the car.

"Later at your mother's funeral, you should look happy. Don't be sad, let your mother be happy to see it. " Handoko reminded that Laila and Qadar were not sad anymore.

"Pray for your mother to be at peace with God" continued Mira.

Long enough for their journey to the village. At two o'clock in the afternoon they had just arrived there, and Handoko deliberately went straight to the public cemetery.

Qadar and Laila walked first, their steps were quickened to reach the navel of his mother.

"Mother!" exclaim Qadar as he ran a little closer to Marni's grave.

Laila crouched down in front of her mother's headstone, stroking the headstone while continuing to strengthen her heart so as not to cry.

Lebaran this time is the first leaflet without Marni beside them and it is quite heavy in both.

Handoko also led the prayer, praying for his late sister Marni.
