POV TIRITH PENDRAGON.
The night was cold as usual. Stars and moons appeared to illuminate the dark night sky. As usual, I was in the royal garden staring at the stars and drinking a cup of tea.
"It's been almost four months huh..."
Mumbled Tirith.
It's been almost four months since the death of my first love, hero creator Amatsumi Rigel. A person who has no substitute for me.
"You're so mean, Rigel. I will never forgive you for breaking the promise you made me."
Tirith murmured, looking at the stars.
I shook my head quickly. There can be no tears! If I was still crying because of her disappearance, I'm sure she was mocking me up there.
I stared angrily at the star in the sky in hopes that Rigel was noticing that I was angry with him. I'm sure he'll just compliment me with my cute word up there.
"Yeah, Tirith. Can I join you again?"
A man's voice sounded from a distance.
I turned to see who was talking and there, I found Takatsumi smiling kindly at me.
"Takatsumi, of course you can join me."
Tirith said with a gentle smile.
I prepared a cup of warm tea for her and handed the tea to Takatsumi.
"Please. What brings you here, Takatsumi?"
Ask Tirith.
"As usual, I'm just wasting time."
The answer.
Takatsumi has been with me every night watching the stars, sometimes making me laugh and chat with me so I don't get lonely. As if, he was trying to replace Rigel.
Not only that, even my father tried to match Takatsumi to me. Takatsumi seemed to be interested in me as well and he did not reject my father's proposal, only I rejected the proposal. I refused and asked for time to think about it.
My reason is very simple, because I only love Rigel. No matter how hard I try to turn away from her and try to love Takatsumi, I can't do it.
"I'm sorry, Takatsumi. I still don't have an answer to the proposal my father made, I still need time."
Tirith said sadly.
Takatsumi looked at Tirith and smiled gently.
"Well, there is no need to rush to think about it, but not too long either. After all, I won't marry you right away because we're too young."
Takatsumi.
"You're right, but for us nobles getting married at a young age is commonplace."
Tirith smiled sadly.
"That's it."
Takatsumi said, he immediately drank the tea I gave him gracefully.
"So, do you still love him so much?"
Takatsumi asked, his gaze pointing straight at my eyes.
I dodged his gaze, worried that he would find out what I was thinking. I don't want him to know that I still love Rigel very much, even though he's no longer alive in this world.
No, I can't hurt Takatsumi any further. All this time, he was the one who always accompanied me and was always by my side. Is it time to forget the past? I cannot continue to wallow in this sorrow.
"Not too, slowly but surely, I will forget about it and try to love the self that is beside me right now, Takatsumi."
Tirith put on the best smile she could.
I'm sorry Takatsumi, I have to lie to you because I don't want to hurt you any further than this. Then, for the ones there, please forgive me Rigel.
Then, Takatsumi suddenly grabbed my shoulder and made me look him in the eye. I was very surprised by what Takatsumi did. It was not like her who was usually shy and innocent, in her eyes formed certain beliefs.
"T-tirith, k-you know, that I love you so much. So, if I can I want you to forget the past and let's take the future together. I swear I'll make you happy as much as possible."
Takatsumi.
Takatsumi's face was filled with confidence which left me unable to say anything other than looking directly at his eyes filled with confidence. Slowly, Takatsumi brought her face closer to mine until I could feel her breathing.
"A-do you love me, Tirith?"
Takatsumi asked before bringing his face closer together.
I think it's better, yes it's better than hurting anyone else. Forget your past, Tirith. Now you must accept Takatsumi and live a life together, have children and live peacefully in our old days.
Then, in Tirith's mind he saw the figure of a smiling young man and said something.
'Looks like I love you, Tirith.'
Rigel's voice and face revolved around Tirith's head.
When my lips and Takatsumi only left a few centi distance, I will reciprocate his feelings.
"Me, I love you too... Rigels."
Tirith involuntarily mentioned Rigel's name.
I was shocked. I subconsciously mentioned his name, what happened to me! I should have mentioned Takatsumi's name and not Rigel's.
"Sorry, Takatsumi. I subconsciously called out his name."
Tirith said, apologizing.
"So you still love her, don't you, Tirith?"
Takatsumi asked while distancing his face.
I just kept quiet without answering her question. I don't know what to tell him. Why did I mention someone else's name.
"Ahh, it's getting late, I'll be back first, yeah."
Takatsumi said disappointedly.
"Tu-wait, T-takatsumi."
Tirith.
Free, he won't listen. I knew that his heart might hurt a lot with what I did to him. Why can't I escape this past? Anyone, please tell me how to forget it?
"It's all your fault, Rigel."
Tirith murmured and she began to cry.
"You want to make me fall in love and promise me a lot of things and after that what? You're gone and you're not coming back! You're such a brute. I hate you! But I love you too, Rigel!"
Tirith said that crying would happen.
"So, come back from the dead, Rigel."
This is my greatest plea to anyone whether it be gods or men. If Rigel can come back to my arms, I'm willing to do anything for him.
A cold, star-filled night accompanied by a cry from a girl who missed her departed loved ones.
Rigel will never come back to me. Now she had fused with the star in the sky with my mother, watching me from the distant sky within the reach of my hand.
"At least, I hope you stay calm there, Rigel."
Tirith.
Tirith wiped away the water that flooded her eyes and left the royal garden. Her eyes were still swollen from crying and Tirith returned to her room.
