"so you're interested in how the ritual works?" Rigel sneering.
Indeed Rigel aims to reveal how this ritual is done. But here Rigel tries to complicate it a bit. Even anyone knows, people like Rigel who are so stingy about everything would want to reveal such important information for free.
"I also want to know about that Rigel. This is only the worst possibility, if suppose you or the person who knows the ritual loses his life, at least we know how to raise a new Hero." Hazama also seems to want to know about the ritual of giving birth to a new Hero.
Rigel just stared at Hazama in silence and waited for how the other Heroes would react. Not long after Hazama called out his opinion, Takumi started talking.
"Can you tell him, Rigel? I didn't think that you would be killed so easily, but it never hurts to reveal that. Otherwise, your other trust in you will diminish."
Rigel realized that the cold gaze of the other Heroes was on him. They must be worried that Rigel will slaughter them all and summon a Hero he can control at will. Such concerns are certainly expected.
"Faith? that's something absurd to me. I don't need that kind of thing, all I need is something real" Rigel said indifferently.
Belief in something that has no form and can even disappear without being noticed, or even never existed. Relationships based on trust will be difficult for people to accept
which Rigel hasn't known for a long time. Different stories with Ray and others, which he has been very familiar with since coming to this world. Will but—
"Well, it looks like I'm going to reveal it. I know you're worried that I'm going to do some arbitrary thing about the Hero-awakening ritual. To do so is very easy, you just need to have a candidate who matches the Hero's weapon and make him take an oath at the Hero's summoning temple, where we are summoned to this world." Rigel explained it briefly and easily understood by others. Even so, they seemed doubtful and distrustful by Rigel's explanation.
"Is it really like that? I feel like it's too easy to do. You're not trying to lie, are you?" Marcel looked at Rigel with a cold gaze. Obviously he didn't really trust Rigel who was so good at tongue-tinning.
"It is precisely because it is so easy to do so that I expect absolutely nothing when I try it. But in a world like this, the slightest thing can surprise us." Rigel shrugged his shoulders and smiled mockingly.
To the people of earth, this kind of world might not seem reasonable. Humans can create fire from a single snap of a finger, can draw out water with a mere helping hand. From anywhere, things related to such magic transcend the laws of physics on earth. Even creatures that only exist in stories like demons and Dragons actually exist.
"Is there another question? if not then let's end today's meeting and take care of each of our preparations. There's still a lot of trouble for me to do." Rigel looked at everyone and there seemed to be nothing more to discuss about Phoenix or Hero's awakening.
That way they ended the discussion and for the first time the Heroes had dinner together. Rigel did not mind doing so so he did not refuse to eat his food in Britannia.
Once back in the Region, the night had dissolved and the cold wind of the night was blowing with the cold. At these hours everyone has stopped doing their activities and rested. The devastated area is slowly recovering and the bright lights in every home are a relief.
Thanks to Rigel's system, the Region has managed to overcome the darkness of the night with electric-powered lights dotting the streets and houses.
Rigel does not decide to sleep and he goes to the mountain where Asoka's parents are buried. At the top of this mountain, the scenery was irreplaceable and very calming.
There is another side to Rigel who wishes this kind of place had given him hell to just destroy. But there is also another part of him that wants this world to remain, for his friends to live happily.
"A very heartbreaking feeling. At least pick one, you hate this world or not." From behind him, Ozaru's familiar voice rang out and walked up to him. Rigel didn't even try to look at him.
Ozaru calmly sat on a rock not far from where Rigel was, and stared at the scenery of the Region along with the beautiful crescent moon in the sky. For the record, except for the full moon, Ozaru will not turn into his true form just because he sees another moon.
"You yourself how? summoned to a world you do not know without your consent... It must be a bitch, right?" Rigel asked Ozaru, he had wanted to know what Ozaru thought of the world from the beginning.
"Well, if asked what I think, it sucks to kidnap me without permission. Not to mention, there are no Ape females like me in this world and that is regrettable. However, that does not mean I hate it, at least in this place there is no war for territory or power. Unlike my previous world, wars always happen at any time. So, I don't hate a peaceful world like this."
Looks like Ozaru had his own hell in the previous world. Perhaps because of the absence of advanced civilizations such as mankind, ozaru and the races who lived in his time may think that power and strength are everything. It was certainly not uncommon for him to see his comrades breathing their last breath on the battlefield.
"In addition, I realized that I love a human being. So, no matter what happens in the future, I will fight as hard as I can."
Rigel did not think that the words he said were a lie. No, it's too good to be a lie. Rigel thought carefully about what he was fighting for, what reason he was fighting for and what kind of ultimate goal he would achieve in the future. Maybe just happiness? maybe failure? maybe the world is destroyed or even...
"Well, for now we better focus on the problems to come. There is still a lot of preparation that we have to do and I'm a little looking forward to, the ultimate goal of this plan of yours. Don't let me down, Rigel." Ozaru gently patted Rigel's shoulder and walked back towards the Region.
"I myself do not expect failure, it's just that, the gamble this time is too big and too complicated..."
Although he might be able to guarantee 100% success, yet there would never really be a perfect possibility. The presentation can change at any time, depending on what happens before heading into the day.
Whether he understands it or not, Rigel hopes Takumi does what he's supposed to do. Not to mention, there was still a need to make Leo become extremely powerful, at least enough to compete with the existing Sword experts.
"It looks like I'm going to take Leo for Leveling... Goblins and weak monsters would not give much of a lesson to him. What about a dragon?" Rigel muttered and determined what he would do tomorrow. He would bring Leo to hunt the Dragon, as a form of training from him.
